20080202916Controlling magnetic leakage flux in sputtering targets containing magnetic and non-magnetic elements - Various exemplary embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for controlling magnetic leakage flux in a sputtering target containing magnetic and non-magnetic elements. The method relates to selecting a particle size of at least one non-magnetic phase in a microstructure, where the particle size of the non-magnetic phase is greater than or equal to one micron. The non-magnetic phase is combined with at least one magnetic phase in the microstructure, where the magnetic phase is greater than or equal to 10 atomic percent and is greater than one micron in size. 20150060261TARGET ADAPTED TO AN INDIRECT COOLING DEVICE - The invention relates to a target which is embodied as a material source for a depositing method from the gas phase, comprising a front side and a rear side, characterized in that a self-adhesive carbon film is applied to the rear side. Said target can be embodied as a material source for a sputtering method and/or for an arc evaporation method. A particular advantage is that the target is used in a coating source with indirect cooling, the self-adhesive carbon film being in contact with the surface of the membrane which is part of a cooling channel.03-05-2015
20150090582Laser Water Transfer Printing Film and Making Method Thereof - A method of making a laser water transfer printing film contains steps of: providing a substrate material; coating a release layer on one side surface of the PET film by ways of a first coating apparatus; semi-solidifying a lacquer by using a heat solidifying apparatus; printing an ink layer on the lacquer by ways of a printing device; implanting a message layer on the ink layer by means of an implanting device; embossing geometric patterns on the message layer by using a rolling device; plating the metal layer on the embossed patterns; coating a PVA solution on the metal layer by ways of a second coating device and drying the PVA solution by means of a drying device; separating the PET film from the PVA film by using a releasing device and then rolling the PET film which has separated from the PVA film.04-02-2015

20150354055CU-GA-IN-NA TARGET - A sputtering target is composed of an alloy consisting of 5 to 70 at % of at least one element from the group of (Ga, In) and 0.1 to 15 at % of Na, the remainder being Cu and typical impurities. The sputtering target includes at least one intermetallic Na-containing phase.12-10-2015
20150364747MATERIALS FOR SOLID STATE ELECTROLYTES AND PROTECTIVE ELECTRODE COATINGS FOR LITHIUM BATTERIES - A method for using atomic layer deposition to produce a film configured for use in an anode, cathode, or solid state electrolyte of a lithium-ion battery or a lithium-sulfur battery. The method includes repeating a cycle for a predetermined number of times in an inert atmosphere. The cycle includes exposing a substrate to a first precursor, purging the substrate with inert gas, exposing the substrate to a second precursor, and purging the substrate with inert gas. The film is a metal sulfide.12-17-2015
20160071537FABRICATION OF BIT PATTERNED MEDIA USING MICROCONTACT PRINTING - A method for manufacturing a bit patterned magnetic media for magnetic data recording. The method includes selectively depositing a self assembled monolayer over a seed layer and then oxidizing the deposited self assembled monolayer. The self-assembled monolayer can be deposited by use of a stamp to form a pattern covering areas where a non-magnetic segregant (such as an oxide) is to be formed and openings where a magnetic material is to be formed. A magnetic alloy and a segregant (such as an oxide) are then co-sputtered. The magnetic alloy grows only or selectively over the seed layer, whereas the segregant grows only or selectively over the oxidized self-assembled monolayer.03-10-2016
20160160341PARTIAL SPRAY REFURBISHMENT OF SPUTTERING TARGETS - In various embodiments, eroded sputtering targets are partially refurbished by spray-depositing particles of target material to at least partially fill certain regions (e.g., regions of deepest erosion) without spray-deposition within other eroded regions (e.g., regions of less erosion). The partially refurbished sputtering targets may be sputtered after the partial refurbishment without substantive changes in sputtering properties (e.g., sputtering rate) and/or properties of the sputtered films.06-09-2016
