20090126149 | Convertible cup holder - The convertible cup holder presents a novel solution to a problem experienced by all beverage drinkers—an entire hand is required to hold a beverage container. The convertible cup holder is a convertible, disposable or reusable insulator, holder and cup-carrier that surrounds a beverage container. In its initial condition, the holder provides thermal insulation against the hot or cold temperature of the beverage. The cup holder can be used to improve the grip on the beverage or to make the beverage more comfortable to hold. If a user requires the use of the hand holding the beverage, the user is able to pull handles disposed within the holder into a deployed position, such that the user can now easily grip the beverage by using only one's finger. With handles deployed, the convertible cup holder allows the average beverage to be suspended and held by a single finger, thereby freeing up the majority of one's hand for other tasks. The beverage could also be suspended by a hook or other nearby object until the user is ready to resume consuming the beverage. The present invention enables a single individual to carry multiple beverages at the same time using only a single hand or finger. | 05-21-2009 |
20120271198 | VASCULAR GUIDEWIRE CONTROL APPARATUS - A controller for use with a guidewire, such as a vascular guidewire, provides a mechanism for gripping and applying a torque to the guidewire without the need to thread the guidewire axially through the controller and at a location close to a point of access of the guidewire. In one embodiment, the controller includes a side-access, multi-part assembly including a collet or other gripping element that applies a uniform radially inward force on the guidewire. In another embodiment, for use with guidewires having active electrically controllable elements, the controller integrally or removably incorporates a switch or other mechanism to initiate an energized state. The controller thereby permits ergonomic, single-handed control of an electronically steerable guidewire, including axially displacing, torquing and steering the guidewire. | 10-25-2012 |

20140324503 | MULTI-SOURCE DATA SUBSCRIPTIONS - Techniques and/or systems are provided for performing an action based upon a subscription to multi-source data. That is, a subscription may specify one or more actions that are to be performed upon satisfaction of a set of conditions associated with one or more data sources. For example, a subscription for a user Joe may specify that a flower order is to be placed when a current date is Valentine's day, a social network profile for Joe indicates Joe has a significant other, and a local flower shop has roses in stock. In this way, a subscription may be based upon various data sources, such as a calendar, a social network, and a flower supply data source. Because a vast number of subscriptions may be maintained, conditions may be organized into a graph such that a condition, shared by multiple subscriptions, is represented by a single node within the graph. | 10-30-2014 |

20090113763 | MODULAR BOOT SOLE SYSTEM - One embodiment of the present invention relates to a ski boot system with a modular binding interface. The system includes a shell encasing a user's foot and lower leg. A first and second block are interchangeably coupled to the shell below the base to effectuate alternative binding interfaces. The first and second blocks include a binding interface surface and a sole surface. The positioning and shape of the blocks with respect to the shell results in the binding interface surface extending distally from the toe region of the shell and the sole surface being the lowest surface on the boot system. The binding interface surfaces for each block are positioned at different sagittal heights with respect to the shell to facilitate the interconnection with alternative binding coupling systems. The sole surfaces for each block are positioned at substantially identical sagittal heights with respect to the shell to maintain optimum and consistent performance characteristics among different bindings. | 05-07-2009 |

20080271345 | BOOT ARTICULATION SUPPORT SYSTEM - The present invention relates to a support system for use in relation to an articulation region of a boot. Embodiments of the present invention relate to a boot with a dorsal metatarsal articulation region that allows for articulation in the sagittal plane such as a telemark ski boot. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a telemark ski boot, including a shell, an articulation region, and an articulation support system. The articulation support system includes at least one tensile rigid region extending transversely between the proximal and distal sides of the articulation region. The tensile rigid region impedes rotation of the rear portion of the shell about the toe portion in a frontal plane. This form of rotation is often referred to as torsional rotation. The articulation support system may include one or more of a cable, an integrated shell portion, a material mesh, and/or other tensile rigid components which maintain bending flexibility. A second embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for increasing the torsional support characteristic of a telemark ski boot while maintaining the desired flexibility. | 11-06-2008 |

A management component is provided that can manage distribution of configuration information, operating system (OS) images, authentication data, or other such information for host machines, servers, or other such devices in a network environment. The management component can further perform a number of actions when deploying configuration information updates, such as performing one or more checks to verify the health of a target switch, deactivating the target switch, shifting traffic to and from the target switch, updating a current configuration of the target switch, verifying the target switch's health after the configuration changes, bringing the target switch back in service, among others. | 09-11-2014 |
20150088960 | CONNECTION FOLLOWING DURING NETWORK RECONFIGURATION - An allocated IP address is remapped from a first virtual machine to a second virtual machine while maintaining existing client connections on the first virtual machine. A communication channel is established between the first and second virtual machines, and existing connections associated with the IP address are tracked. Packets addressed to the IP address are forwarded to the second virtual machine instead of the first machine. If the second virtual machine receives a packet that contains a new connection request, the new connection is established with the second virtual machine. However, if the second virtual machine receives a packet that is associated with an existing connection to the first virtual machine, then the packet is forwarded to the first virtual machine via the communication channel. | 03-26-2015 |

20150330892 | Analysis of Action Potentials, Transients, and Ion Flux in Excitable Cells - Video recordings from two or more optical channels are produced, processed, and analyzed simultaneously in order to provide quantitative analysis of action potentials, calcium transients and ionic flux in excitable cells loaded with voltage or ion sensitive dyes with distinct excitation and emission wavelengths, The specific wavelengths of fluorescent light emitted from each dye are separated and recorded. The recordings are mutually registered and cytometric analysis is performed to provide a quantitative analysis of the action potentials calcium transient, and/or ionic flux on a cell-by-cell and well-by-well basis in microtiter plates. The cells are then fixed, labeled for other biomarkers, and scanned again.
