Description:
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a container, in particular a multifunctional container having a receiving base.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Containers used in daily life are usually those having predetermined volume and shape according to the actual needs, and thus may encounter problems in carryover and storage process.
[0003] In order to solve the above problems, so far some containers with variable volumes have been provided. For example, the Chinese Utility Model Patent No. 00200823.8 discloses a collapsible container for fluid which consists of a container opening, a container wall and a container base, wherein the container wall is able to bend and press closely along its channels to contract the size of the container by more than thrice.
[0004] Another example is the Chinese Utility Model Patent No. 200620083945.5, which discloses a collapsible container to solve the technical problem of storage inconvenience due to the occupied big space when the container is in non-use status. The container consists of a base section, a top section and a middle section, wherein the upper section is provided within the lower section, with ring shaped recesses being provided at the outer-side bottom of the upper section and the inner-side top portion of the lower section, and a inflatable sealing ring being provided in the recess for better sealing. Where the container is in use, the top section and the middle section of the container are both pressed into the base section and thus the occupied space is reduced to facilitate the storage.
[0005] Although the above containers use different technical means to solve the problem of volume change, there is still a defect of single function, that is, the container can be only used for receiving objects simply.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The present invention provides a container having a receiving base. With the special design of the base, the container can realize multiple usages and it is convenient in carryover and use since the container volume can be changed according to the actual needs.
[0007] The present invention provides a container having a receiving base, which container consists of a base, a container body and a container cover. The base is fixedly and tightly connected to the container body, and the base consists of an external shell and a top cover, the edge of the external shell being tightly fitted to the edge of the top cover, the external shell and the top cover forming a receiving space of the base, and the receiving space being communicated with the container body via a hole in the top cover.
[0008] The edge of the external shell is fitted to the edge of the top cover through threaded connection, interference fit and the like, and a sealing ring is laid at the joint between the edge of external shell and the edge of the top cover, so that the receiving space is communicated with the container body only through the hole in the top cover.
[0009] In an optional embodiment of the container, a first connection mechanism projecting downward is provided at the bottom of the top cover, and a second connection mechanism projecting upward is provided within the external shell, said first connection mechanism being movably connected with said second connection mechanism. For example, the edge of the external shell is fitted in interference with the edge of the top cover, with external threads being provided on the first connection mechanism, and internal threads being provided in the second connection mechanism. The top cover is connected and fixed to the external shell through the threads of the connection mechanisms, so that the external shell can be easily dissembled from the top cover. Of course, the first connection mechanism can alternatively be connected to the second connection mechanism through interference fit.
[0010] A recess projecting toward to the receiving space is provided at the top cover around the hole. If there are needs to leak liquid from the container to the receiving space, the recess is helpful to liquid influx toward the hole.
[0011] At least two holes are provided, with a recess projecting outward from the receiving space being provided around one of said holes and recesses projecting toward to the receiving space being provided around the remaining ones of said holes. This ensure that the liquid can be leaked into the receiving space and the liquid is prevented from flowing into the container body in a great amount.
[0012] In another optional embodiment of the container, a first connection mechanism with external threads is provided at the bottom of said top cover, said first connection mechanism being in the shape of a discharge spout and in communication with said top cover; a second connection mechanism which is fitted to said first connection mechanism is provided within said external shell. Said discharge spout is in threaded connection with said second connection mechanism, so that the external shell is convenient to be disassembled from the top cover. A number of holes are provided at said second connection mechanism close to the bottom of said external shell, in order to ensure the communication between the receiving space and the container body. If a number of vent holes are provided in said top cover, then this ensures that liquid will be leaked into the receiving space from the discharge spout smoothly.
[0013] In order to ensure the high sturdiness of the external shell after multiple disassemblies, a number of reinforcing ribs are provided at said second connection mechanism.
[0014] The container body of the container according to the present invention can be either a conventional container wall, or a collapsible container body.
[0015] Said collapsible container body may assume a multi-layer collapsible clamp-connected mechanism. Between two adjacent layers, a sealing ring is provided to enhance the sealing property of the whole container, which makes the container more suitable for receiving liquid.
[0016] Said collapsible container body may also consist of an upper connecting piece, a lower connecting piece and a collapsible piece which are in clamp connection with each other, said lower connecting piece being fixedly and tightly fitted to said base, said upper connecting piece being fitted to said container cover, and said upper connecting piece being connected to said lower connecting piece via said collapsible piece. When the collapsible piece is stretched, the container has a bigger volume, and when the collapsible piece is contracted, the two connecting pieces are clamp-connected together, which results in a smaller volume of the container. Said collapsible piece can be made of any collapsible materials or structures, e.g. flexible fabric and the like. The collapsible container body makes it easier to carry over the container and thus the container is convenient for use.
[0017] Said collapsible piece is preferably water-proofing flexible fabric.
[0018] Optionally, the external shell of the container according to the present invention is provided with a sandwich space which consists of a sandwich internal wall, an external shell and a platform. The sandwich space increases the wall thickness of the external shell, enhance the sturdiness, and at the same time adornment can be put into the sandwich structure to make the container beautiful. A sealing ring can be laid at the platform to ensure the sealing between the top cover and the external shell.
[0019] The container according to the present invention has a wide use. According to the objects put into the container, desiccants can be put into the receiving space of the base to keep the substance in the container in a dry state. Alternatively, fragrant substance can be put into the receiving space to keep the fragrance within the container. Especially in the event that clothes are put into the container, camphor balls can be put into the receiving space to protect the clothes against moth and at the same time the camphor balls are spaced from the clothes.
[0020] If the container has a base with a connection mechanism provided at its external shell, it is more suitable to contain objects which may produce liquid easily, for example the umbrella after use. In such a case, a small hole is provided at the top cover to act as a vent hole. The rainwater on the umbrella will flow from the hole of the connection mechanism into the receiving space of the base, along the discharge spout of the top cover. And even if the container is reversed, the water in the receiving space will not flow back to the container in a great amount.
[0021] When the container according to the present invention is used as a litter bin, a pedal device can be installed to control the collapse of the container body to increase the volume of the litter bin. At the same time, the base at the bottom of the bin can be used to accept percolate from the litter.
[0022] Said base is usually connected to the bottom of the container body, or it can be installed at other workable sites according to the actual needs to have the receiving space located at the bottom or a side of the container body, or wrap the container body.
[0023] The container having a receiving base according to the present invention is simple in structure, novel, convenient for use, friendly to the environment and can be widely used. Its size and shape can be designed according to actual needs and a sandwich structure can be provided in the container to receive adornment and thus makes the container more beautiful.
