20140368215METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING HIGH VOLTAGE BUSHINGS SAFELY - The voltage at the test tap of a high voltage bushing is applied to a bushing coupler which includes circuitry to sense and process voltages generated at the test tap and convert the voltages into corresponding data signals. Data signals corresponding to the test tap voltages are then transmitted wirelessly to a bushing monitoring system. 20160187407ARC FAULT DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD AND CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER EMPLOYING SAME - A DC arc fault detection module includes a current detecting section having at least one output, wherein the current detecting section is structured to determine whether at least one signal based on a current measured from a DC supply line exceeds at least one corresponding predetermined threshold level and cause the at least one output to indicate that the threshold level has been exceeded. The module also includes a processing device structured to: (i) receive the at least one output, (ii) determine whether an arc fault in the DC electrical system has occurred based on at least the at least one output, (iii) determine an estimation of background noise based on at least one signal indicative of a current on the DC supply line, and (iv) adjust the at least one corresponding predetermined threshold level based on the estimation of background noise.06-30-2016

20160377670INSULATION DETECTOR AND ELECTRIC APPARATUS - An insulation detector for highly accurately detecting or measuring, with a simple configuration, insulation resistance of a load or an apparatus to a ground or a housing and connected to an electric apparatus including one or both of an intra-apparatus capacitor and a battery, the insulation detector including an intra-insulation detector capacitor, a voltage detecting unit that detects a voltage of the intra-insulation detector capacitor, and a current-path forming switch for connecting the ground or the housing, the intra-apparatus capacitor, and the intra-insulation detector capacitor in series and forming a current path including insulation resistance of the electric apparatus. The insulation detector measures the insulation resistance by measuring a time constant of a change in the voltage of the intra-insulation detector capacitor. A capacitance value of the intra-insulation detector capacitor is a value negligible in the measurement of the insulation resistance compared with a capacitance value of the intra-apparatus capacitor.12-29-2016
