|Method of treating well with foamed composition - The annular surface between the tubing and casing of an oil or gas well may be contacted with a foamed well treatment composition containing a gas, a foaming agent and a liquid well treatment agent, such as a scale inhibitor, corrosion inhibitor, salt inhibitor, scale remover or biocide. The foam, upon destabilization, renders a thin film of concentrated well treatment agent on the external surfaces of the tubing, inside the casing and in the perforations.
|WIRELINE BAILING SYSTEM FOR REMOVING LARGE VOLUMES OF LIQUID FROM A BOREHOLE - An electrical wireline conveyed baling system for removing large volumes of liquids from a well borehole with a single trip of a bailer tool string. The system also utilizes one or more blow out preventers thereby allowing wireline bailing operations to be carried out while controlling well pressure. A bailer tool string that is conveyed by the wireline comprises a tool head containing a pump, at least one carrier section, and a no-return valve. Once deployed in the borehole, a first signal transmitted via the wireline from the surface activates the pump thereby reducing pressure within the carrier section. A second signal transmitted via the wireline from the surface opens the no-return valve thereby allowing liquid to flow from the borehole into the carrier section. The bailer tool string containing liquid is subsequently retrieved via the wireline thereby removing liquid from the borehole. A plurality of carrier sections can be axially stacked and deployed thereby increasing liquid bailing capacity while still maintaining well pressure control.
|Procedures and Compositions for Reservoir Protection - A flow conduit having at least one orifice is placed in the vicinity of a flow source, which in one non-limiting embodiment may be a hydrocarbon reservoir. The flow pathway between the orifice and the source is temporarily blocked with a degradable barrier. Once the flow pathway is physically placed, the degradable barrier is removed under the influence of an acid, a solvent, time and/or temperature. The flow source and the flow pathways are at least partially covered (and flow blocked by) a temporary coating such as a pseudo-filter cake formed by a viscoelastic surfactant-gelled aqueous drill-in fluid, and the flow conduit is extended to the flow source. The pseudo-filter cake is removed when viscosity is reduced by an internal breaker, and flow is then allowed. The method is useful in one context of recovering hydrocarbons where the flow conduit is a telescoping sleeve or tube that contacts the borehole wall.
|Drill pipe wiper system and associated method - The drill pipe wiper system includes a plurality of coextensively shaped rectilinear support rails with axially opposed ends with a plurality of openings formed in the opposed ends of the support rails, a plurality of ports penetrating an outer surface of the support rails, and a plurality of spring-loaded latch pins. The system further includes a plurality of coextensively shaped rectilinear end rails and a mechanism for attaching the support rails to a support surface. The support rail attaching mechanism includes a plurality of coextensively shaped rectilinear beams, a plurality of cotter pins, a plurality of coupling members monolithically formed with the second ends of the shafts, and a rectilinear channel. A moisture removing mechanism includes a carrier assembly with a first plate, a second plate, a plurality of first slider guides, a third plate, a fourth plate, a plurality of second slider guides, and wiper pads.
|COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR CLEANING FORMATION FACES - A composition for preventing or removing the build-up of a fluid film on a target surface of wells, processing equipment or geological formations and a method of using same is provided. The composition can be non-aqueous and alkaline and can include sodium carbonate, sodium phosphate tribasic, sodium hydroxide and sodium metasilicate. The method includes preparing the composition and then delivering the composition to the target surface. The composition can further include a non-aqueous carrier and/or a pH buffer.
|ENCLOSED CIRCULATION TOOL FOR A WELL - An enclosed circulation tool for a well including a tubular body having a top end, a bottom end and an interior cavity. A progressive cavity pump positioned at the bottom end of the body, the pump having a rotor mounted within a stator. The rotor has an upper end and a lower end, with the upper end extending into the interior cavity. A drive is coupled to and adapted to rotate the rotor in order to draw sand into the interior cavity. A first fluid passage is provided along which fluids from pumped from surface pass to fluidize solids within the interior cavity. A second fluid passage is provided along which fluidized solids from within the interior cavity pass to surface.
|Gas lift plunger arrangement - A plunger in a plunger lift system in an oil and gas well includes shaped grooves spaced along the plunger body, angled fins or below the grooves, an elongated interior cavity open at the bottom, and passages connecting the interior cavity to the grooves. The shape, sizing and spacing of the grooves improves plunger seal and decreases liquid loss during plunger lift. The flutes or fins spin the plunger to clean the tubing string and prevent the plunger from becoming stuck in the lubricator. The interior cavity lightens the plunger and, in combination with the passages, improves the seal created by the shaped grooves. A method of controlling fluid flow in a tubing string in the plunger lift system includes the elongated plunger controllably traveling vertically therethrough, including the steps of: arranging an array of side holes through a side wall of the elongated plunger, wherein the side holes create turbulence in gas within the tubing string; and rotating the elongated plunger about a longitudinal axis thereof, as the plunger travels through the tubing string in the plunger lift system.
|APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DELIQUIFYING A WELL - The invention is directed to an apparatus, system and method for deliquifying a well. A body having gas supply passages is lowered into a well bore on the end of a string of supply tubing. A string of return tubing is lowered through the supply tubing and is inserted into a return passage in the body. A jet nozzle receives gas from the gas supply passages and elevates a fluid:gas mixture to the surface through the return tubing.

|SUBTERRANEAN SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING AND PRODUCING OIL - A method and system for use in association with a subterranean reservoir containing reservoir material, for separating the reservoir material into components and for producing one or more of the reservoir material components at a surface production location. The reservoir material components include one or more liquid components and a solid component. The system includes a subterranean cavern located below the reservoir. A drain extends between the reservoir and the cavern for draining the reservoir material from the reservoir into the cavern so that the reservoir material may be collected and separated into the reservoir material components in the cavern. A production well extends between the cavern and the surface production location for producing one or more of the reservoir material components at the surface production location. Preferably, one or more of the liquid components are produced at the surface production location while retaining the solid component in the cavern.
|JET PUMP FOR USE WITH A MULTI-STRING TUBING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME FOR WELL CLEAN OUT AND TESTING - A jet pump and method of using the jet pump for removing fluids and solids from a conduit. The jet pump is adapted for use with a spoolable multi-string tubing system. The jet pump may be deployed rapidly and is suitable for temporary installation. The method may be used to reestablish flow in watered out and sanded off wells, or to test wells. The jet pump is adapted to remove wellbore fluid, which may be removed in combination with power fluid. The spoolable multi-string tubing system includes two or more substantially parallel conduits, allowing power fluid and return fluid to flow in separate conduits. Preferred embodiments provide additional functionality by inclusion of jetting elements, sensing elements, back-pressure valves, and auxiliary tubing strings or communication members in the spoolable multi-string tubing system.
|Methods of Degrading Subterranean Filter Cakes - The present invention relates to bridging agents for use in subterranean formations, to well drill-in and servicing fluids comprising such bridging agents, and to methods of using such bridging agents and well drill-in and servicing fluids in subterranean drilling operations. An example of a well drill-in and servicing fluid of the present invention comprises a viscosified fluid, a fluid loss control additive, and a bridging agent comprising a degradable material.
|EXPANDABLE MILL AND METHODS OF USE - In some embodiments, apparatus useful for cleaning at least part of the interior surface of a cylindrically-shaped member disposed in a subterranean well includes a housing and a plurality of retractable mill blades supported on the housing. |DOWNHOLE SCRAPER - A downhole tool including a resilient body configured to be disposed on a drill string, the resilient body comprising a plurality of radial blades having an abrasive coating, wherein the radial blades are configured to deflect when inserted into downhole tubing, and wherein the resilient body is configured to allow rotation relative to the drill string. Additionally, a method for cleaning downhole tubing, the method including inserting a resilient scraper disposed on a drill string into the downhole tubing, the resilient scraper including a plurality of radial blades having an abrasive coating. Drilling systems for cleaning wellbores include a wellbore cleaning bit coupled to a drill string. The wellbore cleaning bit may include a casing bit body and a shank attached to the casing bit body and the drill string. A casing bit may be attached to a shank having a connection portion configured for attachment to a drill string to form wellbore cleaning bits for cleaning at least a section of a wellbore. Furthermore, a casing bit may be advanced into a wellbore using a drill string to clean a wellbore.
|ELECTRIC SUBMERSIBLE PUMPING SYSTEM FOR DEWATERING GAS WELLS - Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to an electric submersible pumping system for dewatering gas wells. In one embodiment, a method of unloading liquid from a reservoir includes deploying a pumping system into a wellbore to a location proximate the reservoir using a cable. The pumping system includes a motor, an isolation device, and a pump. The method further includes setting the isolation device, thereby rotationally fixing the pumping system to a tubular string disposed in the wellbore and isolating an inlet of the pump from an outlet of the pump; supplying a power signal from the surface to the motor via the cable, thereby operating the pump and lowering a liquid level in the tubular string to a level proximate the reservoir; unsetting the isolation device; and removing the pump assembly from the wellbore using the cable.
|PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN ORGANIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING AN N-NONYL ESTER - The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of an organic composition which contains a functional component chosen from the group consisting of a thermoplastic polymer, an enzyme, a setting agent, a paraffin, an oil, a colouring agent and a hair or skin care substance, comprising as process steps of providing an n-nonyl ester as an additive, which is obtainable by reaction of an n-nonyl alcohol component with a further component which is capable of reacting with the n-nonyl alcohol component to form an n-nonyl ester, and the functional component, and optionally at least one further additive; and mixing of the n-nonyl ester, the functional component. and optionally the at least one further additive.

|APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR WELL-BORE WALL SURFACE FINISHING - An apparatus for modifying the wall surface of a borehole drilled through an underground formation. The apparatus comprises a tool body that can be introduced into the borehole using a conveyance system so as to be moveable along the borehole, and one or more members arranged so as to be able to be urged against, and moved across at least part of the borehole wall in order to work the surface thereof and modify its properties. |OPEN-HOLE MUDCAKE CLEANUP - Apparatus and methods for performing downhole operations. The apparatus can include a sealing mechanism having an inner bore formed therethrough; a check valve adjacent the sealing mechanism; a circulation device adjacent the check valve; and a rotatable nozzle adjacent the circulation device. The circulation device can include a first tubular member having a radial hole formed therethrough, and a second tubular member disposed about at least a portion of the first tubular member. The second tubular member can also have a radial hole formed therethrough, and the second tubular member can be adapted to longitudinally move about the first tubular member from a first position to a second position.
|DEBRIS PROTECTION FOR SLIDING SLEEVE - Sliding sleeve mechanisms including protective sheaths for debris protection are disclosed. Protective sheaths can be formed from materials such as composites, metal, foil, rubber, plastic, glass, ceramic, wire mesh, tape, etc. The protective sheaths can be substantially cylindrical shells (having one or more pieces), plugs in the flow ports, and/or tape or wire wrappings. The protective sheaths can be retained by recesses in the sliding sleeve or mechanical fasteners such as screws, pins, rivets, snap rings, bands, and buckles. The protective sheath can be outside or inside the sliding sleeve. The protective sheath can protect the sliding sleeve from debris by retaining grease that has been packed into the sliding sleeve for that purpose or positively preventing entry of debris into the sliding sleeve. The protective sheath can be cleared by permitting fluid flow through the sliding sleeve, which can act to destroy and/or wash away the protective sheath.
|METHOD OF REMEDIATING BIT BALLING USING OXIDIZING AGENTS - A method of removing clay compounded on drilling equipment in a well that includes contacting the drilling equipment with a treatment fluid comprising an oxidizing agent. Methods disclosed also relate to drilling a wellbore though a clay-containing formation that includes drilling through the formation with a water-containing drilling fluid; reducing applied weight-on-bit when bit balling detected; emplacing a treatment fluid comprising an oxidizing agent to disrupt clay compounded on drilling equipment; and increasing weight-on-bit to continue drilling through the formation
|APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STRIPPING SOLIDS AND FLUIDS FROM A STRING USED IN DRILLING OR SERVICING WELLS - An apparatus and method is provided for stripping solids and fluids from a string used in the drilling or servicing of a well when the string is removed from the well. The apparatus can comprise two or more pivotally connected arcuate body portions that can be enclosed around the string in a clamshell fashion. The apparatus can further comprise a seal disposed therein to provide a toroidal sealing member around the string when the apparatus encloses the string. A quick release latch mechanism is provided on the apparatus for easy and quick installation on, and removal from, the string. Handles on the apparatus allow personnel to hold the apparatus in a stationary position as the string passes through the apparatus when being raised from the well. In so doing, the sealing member strips solids and fluids from the string.
|Heat Generation Process for Treating Oilfield Deposits - Generating heat within a combination solvent/acid system removes undesirable deposits from petroleum reservoir formations (especially the near well-bore region), oilfield equipment, and petroleum processing equipment. An exothermic reaction occurs between the solvent and the acid and the heat evolved helps remove organic solid deposits. The acids may include organic acid compounds, such as sulfonic acids, sulfuric acid and nitric acid. The solvents may include terpene- and terpene-derivative-containing solvents, including, but not necessarily limited to, limonene, pinene, dipentene, myrcene, turpentines and compounds having at least one double bond, such as methyl furan, dienes, styrene, vinyl acetate and the like. The exothermic reaction produces a great amount of heat, and together with using certain acids and solvents already known as effective to remove paraffin and asphaltene deposition, removing such deposits is improved.
|Methods for using or removing unused rock debris from a passageway through subterranean strata using rock breaking apparatus - A method for using or removing unused rock debris from a bored passageway through subterranean strata using at least one rock breaking apparatus engaged with a conduit string and placed within the subterranean passageway proximal region, using a member adapted to increase the volume of reduced particle size rock debris generated by increasing the frequency of impact and associated breakage of the rock debris inventory, per revolution of the conduit string and/or per volume of fluid slurry circulated. The used volume of rock debris inventory coats the unlined strata wall of said passageway to inhibit strata fracture initiation or propagation, and the unused rock debris inventory is urged from the passageway at an increased rate by the associated reduction in fluid slurry suspension or velocities needed to urge the rock debris through the unlined strata passageway of improved pressure integrity from inhibiting said initiation or propagation of strata fractures.
|Method and Apparatus for Dewatering Using Methane - A method of purging fluids from a gas well wellbore having a tubing string and casing in fluid communication by introducing pressurized methane gas into either the tubing string or casing of the wellbore at the well surface to displace the fluids out of the wellbore through the counterpart casing or tubing string of the wellbore, and a system for storage and delivery of pressurized methane gas in which an assembly of aligned gas cylinders, each cylinder having a valve at one end, the valves contained within a manifold at one end of the assembly, the manifold having a single valve to control flow of the gas into and out of the cylinders of the assembly for delivery of the pressurized gas into a pipeline or wellbore.
|FLUSHING PROCEDURE FOR ROTATING CONTROL DEVICE - A method of flushing a wellbore fluid from a downhole tool containing a bearing package includes pumping hydraulic oil through at least one of a hydraulic inlet line and at least one of a pneumatic inlet line connected to the main housing and into an annulus formed between the bearing package and a main housing of the downhole tool, wherein the hydraulic oil replaces the wellbore fluid in the annulus, removing the wellbore fluid from the annulus through at least one hydraulic outlet line and at least one pneumatic outlet line connected to the main housing, pumping air through the at least one pneumatic inlet line connected to the main housing and removing the hydraulic oil from the at least one pneumatic inlet line connected to the main housing, and removing the hydraulic oil through at least one pneumatic outlet line connected to the main housing.
|Method and apparatus for removal of pigs, deposits and other debris from pipelines and wellbores - A carrier assembly having at least one sealing cup, a fluid bypass and adjustable wash nozzles, as well as a spear assembly having a central through bore, are attached to the distal end of a length of continuous tubing and inserted in to the flow bore of a pipeline. Fluid is pumped through the annular space between the carrier assembly and the pipeline, providing motive force for advancing the carrier assembly within the pipeline. Fluid can bypass the carrier assembly, enter the central bore of the spear assembly, and return to the surface through the central bore of the continuous tubing. A stuck pig or other obstruction is speared, and thereafter retrieved from the pipeline on the continuous tubing.
|EXPANDABLE MILL AND METHODS OF USE - In some embodiments, apparatus useful for cleaning at least part of the interior surface of a generally cylindrically-shaped member disposed in a subterranean well includes a housing and a plurality of retractable mill blades supported on the housing and movable from an initial retracted position to an extended position and thereafter to a final retracted position.
|NON-AQUEOUS BREAKER FLUIDS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF - A method of cleaning a wellbore drilled with an oil-based drilling fluid that forms an oil-based filter cake where the method includes: emplacing a breaker fluid into the wellbore, the breaker fluid comprising: a water-miscible non-aqueous fluid; at least one weighting salt; and at least one breaking agent; and shutting in the well for a period of time sufficient to initiate breaking of the oil-based filter cake is disclosed.
|PARTICLE-LOADED WASH FOR WELL CLEANUP - The invention consists in loading a chemical wash fluid with solid particles to enhance annulus cleanup prior to placing cement slurries (or during the completion phase). The presence of solid particles in a low-viscosity fluid will induce an abrasive cleanup of all soft material present in the annulus in particular gelled mud and mud cake. There is no need for special hardware and no harm to metallic parts. The particles have a size of at least 100 microns and a density ranging from 0.1 to 2g/cm3.

|Downhole Mixing Tool - A downhole mixing tool and method for removing sand and other debris from a wellbore which combines the sand with a treatment fluid so that the sand is lifted to the surface of the well for removal. The tool includes a chamber into which the sand laden fluid is drawn and the treatment fluid is introduced. Ports into the chamber are arranged to provide a pressure drop to draw the sand laden fluid into the chamber and a mixing time within the chamber before sand laden fluid of lower viscosity exits the chamber to travel to the surface. A hydrostatic joint is disposed along the flow string. The hydrostatic valve includes a valve which controls the flow of fluid through the flow string. There is a fluid supply for discharging fluid into the wellbore around the flow string to create a hydrostatic pressure differential between the flow string and the wellbore. Fluid and suspended solids in the bottom-hole formation zone of a wellbore are prevented from flowing into the flow string when the valve is closed. However, fluid and suspended solids in the bottom-hole formation zone of a wellbore are permitted to flow into the flow string when the valve is open.

The method may include the steps of circulating a breaker fluid into the wellbore, where the breaker fluid includes an aqueous fluid, a water soluble polar organic solvent, a hydrolysable ester of a carboxylic acid, and a weighting age, and where the hydrolysable ester is selected so that upon hydrolysis an organic acid is released and the invert emulsion of the filter cake breaks.

|COMPLETION ARRANGEMENT - A completion arrangement and methods of using the completion arrangement are described herein. The completion section includes a completion section and impacting formations. The completion section is arranged to be coupled to production tubing, and has means to allow hydrocarbons to pass therein from reservoir rock in which the wellbore is formed. The impacting formations are drivingly moveable relative to the wellbore. The means being arranged to serve as flushing portals, whereby drilling fluid introduced into the production tubing is arranged to flow via the means into a space between the production tubing and the wellbore, and circulate in the space and the impacting formations. |Cement Wiper Plug with Size Changing Feature - Wiper plugs or other shapes are made from shape memory foam in a size large enough to wipe or clean a tubular of a predetermined size. The plug or other shape is then reformed to a smaller dimension above its transition temperature and allowed to cool while holding that shape. The smaller shape allows delivery through a running string that is smaller than the tubular string to be wiped. Preferably before reaching the string to be wiped, the trigger is applied to get the wiper or other shape above its transition temperature where it then reverts to the prior larger dimension for effective wiping of the string that it will next pass through. The trigger can be well fluid temperature or composition, applied heat from the tubular, generated heat within the wiper or other shape, or heat released from agents introduced into the well acting alone or in conjunction with well fluids.
|Differential Pressure Wellbore Tool and Related Methods of Use - Disclosed is a power head for connection in a tubing string suspended in a subterranean location in a wellbore for use in methods removing debris from the wellbore. When the power head is in the closed position, well fluids pumped down the tubing string will flow through the power head. When the power head is moved to the open position by dropping a actuator ball onto a seat in the power head, the power head creates flow down along the annulus to circulate debris laden well fluids into a catch apparatus such as a catch basket or screen. In the open position, nozzles and the eductor create the reverse flow.
|Dynamic Self-Cleaning Downhole Debris Reducer - A debris reducer for reducing debris within a fluid flow line having a lower screen that is secured within the flow line, the lower screen having a lower screen cage with a lower cutting portion. A debris reducer element is retained within the flow line and is moveably disposed with respect to the lower screen. The debris reducer element has an upper screen cage with an upper cutting portion. The upper and lower screen cages overlap and move the upper and lower cutting portions with respect to each other to reduce debris within fluid flowing through the flow line.

|ROD GUIDE AND SOLIDS CONTROL ASSEMBLY - The rod guide and solids control assembly can be mounted on a rod string. The assembly can allow well fluid that contains high solids to pass through the pump under normal operation while eliminating the solids from being swept back into the pump barrel. The assembly can include a body portion coupled to a bristle that extends helically around the body portion. The body portion can be placed on a pump valve rod or hollow valve rod. On an upstroke, the bristles can be locked into place for trapping and lifting the solids. On a downstroke, the bristles can be rotated for leaving the solids higher and away from a pump intake. This can allow the solids to be lifted out of the pump and thereby prevent solids from collecting on a bottom portion of the pump. Multiple assemblies can be incorporated into the sucker rod string.

|METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR WIPING SUBTERRANEAN CASINGS - An object for wiping a subterranean casing is described herein. The object may include an inner core with a first width. The ball may also include a deformable layer surrounding the inner core. The deformable layer may have a second width. The first width may be smaller than a diameter of at least one baffle within the subterranean casing. The second width may be larger than or equal to the largest inner diameter of the subterranean casing.

|CONTAINMENT CELLAR - A containment cellar collects petroleum products leaked in a vicinity of a conductor pipe at an oil drilling site. The containment cellar has a body, a pipe, and a pumping orifice. The body has bottom and side surfaces to define an interior chamber to surround a length of the conductor pipe. The bottom surface includes an aperture to receive the conductor pipe. The surfaces are composed of materials substantially impermeable to the petroleum products. The side surface has sufficient strength to maintain integrity of the interior chamber when the containment cellar is disposed at least partially beneath a surface of the earth. The pipe extends through the interior chamber. The pumping orifice is coupled with the pipe and adapted for coupling with a pump to extract the leaked petroleum products from the interior chamber.

|Use of Nanoparticles in Cleaning Well Bores - Embodiments relate to removing residue from a well bore and well bore equipment with a treatment fluid composition, and in some embodiments, to treatment fluid compositions that comprise nanoparticles. An embodiment provides a method of removing drilling fluid residue from the surfaces of well equipment. The method comprising: applying a solid nanoparticle film to at least a portion of the surfaces of the well equipment with a treatment fluid comprising solid nanoparticles; and allowing the solid nanoparticles to interact with the surfaces of the well equipment and the drilling fluid residue adhered to the surfaces of the well equipment to remove at least a portion of the drilling fluid residue from the surfaces of the well equipment.

|Downhole Debris Removal Tool and Methods of Using Same - A downhole tool for removing debris from a wellbore comprises a mandrel and a shroud disposed around a portion of the mandrel. The mandrel includes at least one mandrel port in fluid communication with a mandrel bore. The shroud includes a cavity and a shroud port. Debris laden fluid is pulled into the shroud cavity by flowing fluid through the mandrel bore, out the mandrel port, into the shroud cavity, and through the shroud port. The debris-laden fluid is pulled into the shroud cavity due to a pressure differential created by the flow of the fluid through the mandrel port and out of the shroud port. As the debris laden fluid flows into the shroud cavity, the debris is captured within the tool.

Cleaning the switchable magnetic filter may include removing filtered particles using a fluid. The fluid may be at least one of: i) the downhole fluid; and ii) engineered fluid. The method may further include estimating a parameter of interest of the downhole fluid in the sample chamber.
|Non-Rotating Wellbore Casing Scraper - A torque resistant casing scraper for attachment to a drillstring is comprised of a one piece tool body having rotationally unrestrained two-piece blade carriers with hardened diamond-shaped cutting blades and rotationally unrestrained two-piece axial centralizers. Adjoining blade carriers and centralizers rotate independently of the drillstring and the blade carriers interlocked to prevent relative rotation between the blade carriers and to index, or orient the cutting blades as desired along the longitudinal axis of the casing scraper. The diamond-shaped cutting blades and the indexed blade carriers allow both right-handed and left-handed drillstring rotation without reducing utility or effectiveness of the scraper. The casing scraper is particularly effective for deep, near-horizontal wellbores.

A plurality of axial slots extend through the sidewall of the skirt member, the axial slots being spaced circumferentially around the skirt member. |SUBTERRANEAN PUMP WITH PUMP CLEANING MODE - A method to dislodge debris from a pump system in which the pump system includes a down-hole pump coupled by a rod string to an above-ground pump actuator, which is coupled to a controller configured to operate the pump system, and where the actuator has an adjustable stroke length. The method also includes determining that the pump system should begin operating in a pump clean mode, implementing the pump clean mode configured in the controller, and cycling the pump actuator at a preset command speed using a preset starting stroke length, preset acceleration rate and a preset deceleration rate. The method also includes continuing to cycle the pump actuator while incrementally decreasing the stroke length by a preset stroke length increment resulting in increased pump cycling frequencies. Further, the method calls for determining that the pump clean mode is complete, and returning the pump system to a normal operation mode.
|MODULAR ASSEMBLY FOR PROCESSING A FLOWBACK COMPOSITION STREAM AND METHODS OF PROCESSING THE SAME - A method for processing a flowback composition stream from a well head is provided. The flowback composition stream has a first flow rate and a first pressure. Method also includes controlling the first flow rate to a second flow rate by regulating the flowback composition stream to a second pressure. The method also includes separating the flowback composition stream into a first gas stream and a condensed stream The method includes discharging the condensed stream to a degasser and degassing a carbon dioxide rich gas from the condensed stream. The method also includes mixing the carbon dioxide rich gas stream with the first gas stream to produce a second gas stream. The method includes controlling the third flow rate of the second gas stream by regulating the third pressure of the second gas stream to a fourth pressure that is different than the third pressure.

|Multi-purpose Through Tubing Tool - A tubular cleaning tool can be delivered through tubing and then hydraulically or mechanically actuated to rotate blades about respective pivot location into approximately a 45 degree orientation for commencement of tool rotation and cleaning a larger tubular that is below. Each of the blades has a cantilevered distal end that further features at least one articulated link. The outer periphery of the articulated distal segment has hard facing to enhance the cleaning effect and to reduce blade wear. The remainder of the blade outer surface can also have hard facing for similar reasons. The distal segment can be biased toward the surrounding tubular when the blades extend to put the segment in the needed orientation for cleaning.

|DRILL STRING MOUNTABLE WELLBORE CLEANUP APPARATUS AND METHOD - A drill pipe mountable wellbore cleaning tool apparatus is of an improved configuration that enables attachment to a drill pipe joint having first and second connector end portions and a cylindrically shaped portion in between the connector end portions. The drill pipe joint with attached debris cleaning tool or tools is made part of a drill string. The apparatus includes a support sleeve that is mounted to the drill pipe joint in between the connector end portions. The support sleeve abuts but does not invade the integrity of the cylindrical portion. Centralizers are attached to the opposing ends of the support sleeve, with each centralizer overlapping a portion of the support sleeve. The support sleeve carries one or more debris cleaning tools in between the centralizers. These tools enable debris to be removed from a wellbore. At least one locking clamp is attached to the cylindrical portion next to a said centralizer. The locking clamp prevents the support sleeve from moving longitudinally along the drill pipe joint.
|SWAB PUMPING ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH AN OIL WELL - A swab pumping assembly for use with a casing of a wellbore has a base suitable for positioning at a location adjacent to the wellbore, a reel rotatably positioned on the base, a motor operatively connected to the reel so as to rotate the reel, a line wrapped around the reel and having a portion extending outwardly therefrom, a shaft connected to the line and suitable for movement in the wellbore as the line plays out or plays in, and at least one swab cup affixed to the shaft. The swab cup has a peripheral edge suitable for bearing against an inner wall of the casing.
|Two-Piece Plunger with Sleeve and Spear for Plunger Lift System - A plunger lift system has a plunger with a sleeve and a spear that dispose in tubing. The sleeve and spear can move in the tubing between a bumper and a lubricator. The sleeve has a passage for fluid to pass therethrough, and the spear can insert partially into the sleeve's passage. The sleeve and spear fall independently of one another from the surface to the bumper. When disposed on the bumper, the sleeve and spear mate together. Building gas pressure downhole can then lift the mated sleeve and spear, which can sweep liquid along the tubing and push the liquid along with them to the surface.
|DOWNHOLE MAGNET, DOWNHOLE MAGNETIC JETTING TOOL AND METHOD OF ATTACHMENT OF MAGNET PIECES TO THE TOOL BODY - A tool for suspending in a well retrieves various metal debris from the well, and includes an elongated tool body with a plurality of magnets included in a plurality longitudinal ridges which are circumferentially spaced. In the method a plurality of magnets can be positioned within openings, recesses, or pockets in each ridge, and held in place by one or more retaining plates, the tool being connected to a drill string and lowered into a well.
|Mainbore Clean Out Tool - An assembly configured to be disposed within a well at an intersection of a parent bore of the well and a lateral bore of the well is provided. The assembly includes a junction having a mainbore leg and a lateral leg, as well as a passage in the mainbore leg configured to receive a flowing fluid. A port in the mainbore leg is in fluid communication with the passage such that the flowing fluid in the passage creates a suction at the port to draw debris in the well through the port and into the passage.

|DOWNHOLE CLEANING TOOL AND CLEANING METHOD - The present invention relates to a downhole cleaning tool for removing residues or precipitation solids on an inner face of a casing or liner. The downhole cleaning tool comprises a tool body having a bore and a wall, at least one inlet in the wall of the tool body, said inlet being fluidly connected with the bore, a solid removing element connected with the tool body for releasing solids of the inner face of the casing or liner, and a fluid cleaner section comprising a chamber, a filter within the chamber for separation of the solids from the fluid and a pump fluidly connected with the bore for sucking fluid with released solids in through the inlet into the chamber, wherein the solid removing element comprises at least one projecting part projecting from the tool body and a spring arranged between the tool body and the projecting part, and wherein the at least one inlet may be arranged adjacent the projecting parts for suction of released solids. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole system and a cleaning method for removing residues or precipitation solids on an inner face of a casing or liner.
