The first and second vertical leg members have a first height relative to the base member. The first and second vertical leg members each have an opening configured to receive at least one strand of the at least one layer of reinforcement material. Third and fourth vertical leg members are on opposing sides of the base member and have a second height relative to the base member different from the first height of the first and second vertical leg members. The third and fourth vertical leg members each have an opening configured to receive at least one strand of the at least one layer of reinforcement material.05-01-2014
20140215954PAPERBOARD SHELL FOR SUPPORTING CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT ELEMENT DURING CONCRETE POUR - A reinforcement support is provided for use in connection with concrete reinforcement elements and poured concrete. The reinforcement support includes a tubular paperboard shell having first and second ends with a channel extending therebetween. At least a first notch is formed into the first end extending towards the second end with the first notch being configured to supportingly accommodate at least one concrete reinforcement element.08-07-2014
20150013263Sleeve Device For Transferring Bending Moments - A sleeve device for transferring bending moments induced in a reinforced concrete slab includes a generally hollow member and tension rebars. The hollow member is positioned and fastened on a bottom formwork defining the reinforced concrete slab. The tension rebars are connected to opposing sides of an upper portion of the hollow member either directly or using rebar connectors. The hollow member creates a void in the reinforced concrete slab by pouring of concrete around an outer wall of the hollow member. The hollow member transfers compressive stresses across a bottom of the hollow member and tensile stresses through the tension rebars and the upper portion of the hollow member. The affixed tension rebars are spliced with regular reinforced concrete slab rebars to develop tensile stresses that are transferred through the relatively stiffer hollow member to retain a slab moment capacity.01-15-2015
20160108620CLIP FOR SECURING REBAR - The present invention is a clip for securing more than two rebar rods. The rods may be secured in a planar or three-dimensional lattice configuration. In a planar configuration, the clip accommodates two parallel rebar rods and a third rod perpendicular to the first two. Alternatively, the clip may secure three mutually perpendicular rods. The clip is constructed of at least two mutually perpendicular planar surfaces. Each planar surface is recessed in a seat for holding a rod. Each seat has a semicircular arch where the rod sits, with an optional rectangular opening for inserting the rod. In a preferred embodiment, the clip has five seats. Two seats are parallel with a coincident axis in the x-direction. Two other seats are side-by-side with parallel axes in the y-direction. Another seat has an axis in the z-direction. Each rod is held in place by other rods.04-21-2016

20110308192Rebar Clip For Joining Different Size Bars - A rebar clip is provided for joining a larger diameter rebar to a smaller diameter rebar transverse to the larger diameter rebar. In a first embodiment the clip includes diameter reducing tabs extending into upper arches of the clip for engagement with smaller diameter bars crossed on top of larger diameter bars. In a second embodiment the clip includes diameter reducing tabs extending into lower arches of the clip so that the clip may hold larger diameter bars on top of smaller diameter bars. A guide track for a clip applying gun is provided which allows for use with either version of clips and with clips of the same nominal diameter for joining equal size bars.12-22-2011
20140305067TRUSS-WALL INSTALLATION SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS - A method for installing a truss-wall stud unit includes coupling a set of bottom plates with a foundation, coupling a set of hinge brackets with the set of bottom plates, coupling a first partial truss with a second partial truss to form a truss-wall stud unit, coupling the truss-wall stud unit with the bottom plates and hinge brackets, and hoisting the truss-wall stud unit into a substantially vertical position. A system includes truss-wall stud units which are connected to bottom plates using hinge brackets. Once connected to the hinge brackets and bottom plates, the truss-wall stud units are hoisted upright into a substantially vertical position using a cable system with a cable support system. Temporary interlocking spacer bars are used to brace the truss-wall stud units at predetermined intervals.10-16-2014
20150075110DUAL MESH LEVEL REINFORCEMENT BAR SUPPORT CHAIR ASSEMBLY - An assembly includes a reinforcement bar and a plurality of bar chair attached at spaced locations thereto. The bar chairs have an upper concave seat portion, and pairs of legs. The legs are spot welded to the reinforcement bar at locations, and at a height ‘h’ for the prescribed concrete cover for the reinforcement bar. The legs are located on opposing or alternating sides of the reinforcement bar to evenly distribute the construction loads onto the chair legs. As the reinforcement bar is attached to the legs of the wire form, the concave seat portion is oriented to support a reinforcement bar oriented at 90° to the reinforcement bar.03-19-2015

20100000173SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR CAST IN PLACE CONDUIT, JUNCTION BOXES AND SIMILAR STRUCTURES - Poured concrete floors and ceilings in buildings contain electrical conduit, air conditioning conduit, plumbing and junction boxes, for example. These conduits must withstand the rigorous activity of a construction floor and the concrete poured on them during the construction phase. Rod support structures made out of steel rod stock are used to hold the conduit and junction boxes in place on a temporary plywood floor in between rebar. The support structures have feet. The poured concrete floor covers the conduit, junction boxes and support structures. The footprint of each of the support structures is designed to be as small as possible by having minimum contact with a temporary plywood floor. When the plywood floor is removed, the support structures are substantially buried in the concrete. The concrete floor is underneath the feet, providing minimum exposure of the feet to the surface of the concrete next to the plywood floor.01-07-2010
