20100060518 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTONOMOUS, IN-RECEIVER PREDICTION OF GNSS EPHEMERIDES - Methods and apparatus for autonomous in-receiver prediction of orbit and clock states of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are described. Only the GNSS broadcast message is used, without need for periodic externally-communicated information. Earth orientation information is extracted from the GNSS broadcast ephemeris. With the accurate estimation of the Earth orientation parameters it is possible to propagate the best-fit GNSS orbits forward in time in an inertial reference frame. Using the estimated Earth orientation parameters, the predicted orbits are then transformed into Earth-Centered-Earth-Fixed (ECEF) coordinates to be used to assist the GNSS receiver in the acquision of the signals. GNSS satellite clock states are also extracted from the broadcast ephemeris and a parametrized model of clock behavior is fit to that data. The estimated modeled clocks are then propagated forward in time to enable, together with the predicted orbits, quicker GNSS signal acquision. | 03-11-2010 |

20110066101 | NON-INVASIVE OCULAR DRUG DELIVERY - The present invention is drawn to a pharmaceutical compound for the treatment of posterior retinal diseases through topical application of the compound. The compound includes an effective amount of a therapeutic compound, and at least one additional agent that helps to prolong the residence time of the therapeutic compound within the extraocular space, or increase the transport of the therapeutic compound across a tissue of an eye toward and into a posterior ocular region, or both. The invention is additionally drawn to a device and method for delivering the compound. | 03-17-2011 |
20120201800 | Methods and Devices for Sustained In-Vivo Release Of an Active Agent - The present invention includes methods and devices for providing sustained in-vivo release of an active agent to a subject. In some aspects, such release may be achieved by reacting an active agent in-vivo with a depot forming agent in order to form a sustained release active agent depot inside the subject. The depot can then release the active agent over a sustained period of time. | 08-09-2012 |

20150226667 | Spectrographic System Utilizing a Chirped, Pulsed Optical Source - An apparatus and method for measuring the attenuation and dispersion introduced by a sample into an optical signal are disclosed. The apparatus includes a chirped light source, a beam splitter and an optical detector. The beam splitter splits the optical signal generated by the light source into a reference optical signal and a sample optical signal. The sample and reference optical signals are mixed on the detector after the sample optical signal has traversed an experimental sample thus generating a signal having an AC component related to an attenuation and a dispersion introduced by the experimental sample. The optical paths traversed by the reference and sample optical signals between the beam splitter and the detector are chosen such that the reference optical signal and the sample optical signal overlap in time but do not arrive at the optical detector at the same time. | 08-13-2015 |
