20140122380 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING THE DIAGNOSIS OF AN OBJECT HAVING AT LEAST ONE DISTURBANCE - A method and apparatus are provided for aiding diagnosis of an object showing a disorder and for selecting a finding characterising the state of the object. Each finding is described as a visual pathology by a severity, a symptom constellation of multiple symptoms and by a graphic representation of the symptom constellation. A dialog-based, visual modelling of the state of the object is provided wherein the state of the object is modelled by a current symptom constellation represented by a symbol. The resulting, current object image is immediately graphically output on the display device. Following each case of modification a comparator immediately compares the current symptom constellation against the symptom constellations of stored findings and updates the list of findings of potentially applicable findings. A list of suggestions for examining further symptoms is output, sorted by their differentiation so as to interactively facilitate diagnosis. | 05-01-2014 |

20130168450 | FORMAT PRESERVING CIPHER SYSTEM AND METHOD - Systems and methods for enciphering data are provided. In one embodiment, information is enciphered using a variable block length cipher that returns the encrypted symbol set in any defined symbol set with a radix greater than or equal to the plaintext format. The cipher can be based on DES, AES or other block ciphers. In one example implementation a method for enciphering token information the invention provides for enciphering token information by constructing a tweak of a defined length using token information; converting the tweak to a bit string of a defined size to form a first parameter; converting a number of digits of plaintext to a byte string of a defined size to form a second parameter, wherein the number of digits converted varies; defining a data encryption standard key; applying the data encryption standard key to the first and second parameters; computing a specified number of encryption rounds; and receiving enciphered token information. | 07-04-2013 |
20130254117 | SECURED TRANSACTION SYSTEM AND METHOD - Systems and methods for performing financial transactions are provided. In one embodiment, the invention provides for method for bank card transactions, including: reading the token information at the point of swipe for traditional and non-traditional POS platforms; performing a low-security task on the token information using a first microprocessor, wherein the non-security task includes one or more tasks from the group of encryption determination, encryption-decryption request, key management, token information delivery, or transactional data delivery; and performing a security-related task on the token information using a second microprocessor based on a request from the first microprocessor, wherein the security-related task includes one or more tasks from the group of token information authentication, token information decryption, or token information encryption. Formatting the encrypted information such that it is compatible with the format of the current POS system. | 09-26-2013 |

20110211689 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VARIABLE LENGTH ENCRYPTION - Systems and methods for performing a secure transaction provided. In one embodiment, the method for encrypting data is provided, comprising: selecting clear text data; selecting a symbol set corresponding to the clear text data; encrypting the clear text data using a key, the encrypting comprising the operations of: defining a first portion and a second portion of the clear text data, encrypting the second portion using the key to generate an encryption mask, and encrypting the clear text data by applying the encryption mask to the first portion using a modulus operation while preserving the second portion as unencrypted, thereby resulting in encrypted data comprising an encrypted first portion and an unencrypted second portion; and wherein the encrypted data has the same format as the clear text data, has the same length as the clear text data, and uses the symbol set of the clear text data. | 09-01-2011 |
