20090005990 | Method and system for estimating an agricultural management parameter - A system and method for estimating agricultural parameters for growing crops is well suited for promoting efficient utilization of agricultural inputs (e.g., water consumption). Sensors collect data via one or more vehicles equipped with location-determining receivers. A transmitter transmits the collected environmental data to a data processing system. The data processing system applies the collected environmental data to an agronomic model for determining an agricultural management parameter. A prescription is made available for application of an agricultural input (e.g., water) to a crop in a particular location consistent with the collected environmental data and the agronomic model. | 01-01-2009 |

20140073987 | MINIMALLY INVASIVE SKIN BIOPSY DEVICE FOR REMOVAL OF SKIN CONDITIONS IN THE EPIDERMIS - An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides a device for performing a skin biopsy that includes a generally curved blade to cut the skin at a predetermined depth disposed within or an integral part of a blade holder assembly. The blade holder assembly has an outer surface and the generally curved blade is coupled to the outer surface of the blade holder assembly. The device also includes a housing having an outer wall and said outer wall defining an interior space within the housing, such that the blade holder assembly and generally curved blade are disposed substantially within the inner space of the housing. The device also includes a handle coupled to the blade holder assembly and configured to rotate the blade holder assembly and in turn the generally curved blade within the inner space of the housing to perform the skin biopsy or removal of skin conditions. | 03-13-2014 |

20090136416 | Method for Producing Nano-Particles of Molybdenum Oxide - Method for producing nano-particles includes vaporizing a precursor material to produce a vapor, directing the vapor into an isolation chamber, combining a quench fluid in a gaseous state with a quench fluid in a liquid state to form a quench fluid stream, contacting the vapor contained in the isolation chamber with the quench fluid stream thereby cooling the vapor to produce the nano-particles in a carrier stream, and removing the nano-particles from the isolation chamber. | 05-28-2009 |

20090169437 | Apparatus for Producing Nano-Particles of Molybdenum Oxide - Apparatus for producing nano-particles includes a furnace defining a vapor region therein. A precipitation conduit having an inlet end and an outlet end is positioned with respect to the furnace so that the inlet end is open to the vapor region. A quench fluid supply apparatus supplies quench fluid in a gas state and quench fluid in a liquid state. A quench fluid port positioned within the precipitation conduit is fluidically connected to the quench fluid supply apparatus so that an inlet to the quench fluid port receives quench fluid in the gas state and quench fluid in the liquid state. The quench fluid port provides a quench fluid stream to the precipitation conduit to precipitate nano-particles within the precipitation conduit. A product collection apparatus connected to the outlet end of the precipitation conduit collects nano-particles produced within the precipitation conduit. | 07-02-2009 |

20150265963 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR RECOVERING AMMONIA - A method of removing ammonia from a gas stream may involve the steps of: Providing a primary slurry composition of a molybdic acid at a first pH; providing a secondary slurry composition of a molybdic acid at a second pH, the second pH being numerically lower than the first pH; atomizing the primary slurry composition in the presence of the gas stream to produce a partially processed gas stream, quantities of ammonia in the gas stream combining with the molybdic acid in the primary slurry composition to form a further concentrated primary ammoniated slurry composition; and atomizing the secondary slurry composition in the presence of the partially processed gas stream to produce a processed gas stream, additional quantities of ammonia in the partially processed gas stream combining with the molybdic acid in the secondary slurry composition to form a further concentrated secondary ammoniated slurry composition. | 09-24-2015 |

20100168740 | Heart Wall Ablation/Mapping Catheter and Method - Steerable electrophysiology catheters for use in mapping and/or ablation of accessory pathways in myocardial tissue of the heart wall and methods of use thereof are disclosed. The catheter comprises a catheter body and handle, the catheter body having a proximal section and a distal section and manipulators that enable the deflection of a distal segment of the distal tip section with respect to the independently formed curvature of a proximal segment of the distal tip section through a bending or knuckle motion of an intermediate segment between the proximal and distal segments. A wide angular range of deflection within a very small curve or bend radius in the intermediate segment is obtained. At least one distal tip electrode is preferably confined to the distal segment which can have a straight axis extending distally from the intermediate segment. The curvature of the proximal segment and the bending angle of the intermediate segment are independently selectable. The axial alignment of the distal segment with respect to the nominal axis of the proximal shaft section of the catheter body can be varied between substantially axially aligned (0° curvature) in an abrupt knuckle bend through a range of about −90° to about +180° within a bending radius of between about 2.0 mm and 7.0 mm and preferably less than 5.0 mm. The proximal segment curve can be independently formed in a range of about −180° through about +270° with respect to the axis of the proximal shaft section to provide an optimum angular orientation of the distal electrode(s). The distal segment can comprise a highly flexible elongated distal segment body and electrode(s) that conform with the shape and curvature of the heart wall. | 07-01-2010 |

20140265971 | Battery Charger/Export Power - A system for providing operating or charging current supply in different modes of operation includes an electric machine including a rotor and a stator having stator windings, at least one charge storage device, such as a battery, and an inverter disposed between the charge storage device terminals and the electric machine. A contact arrangement modifies electrical interconnections between phases of the inverter and the stator windings. In a supply mode, the electrical interconnections are controlled so that each inverter phase is electrically interconnected with a stator winding set having windings separated from each other by stator windings in other winding sets for driving the rotor of the electrical machine. In a charge mode, however, these interconnections are controlled so that each inverter phase is electrically interconnected with a stator winding set having windings directly adjacent to each other and are not separated from each other. | 09-18-2014 |
