20100070538 | Systems and methods for rapid delivery of tiered metadata - In one embodiment of the present invention, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a set of alphanumeric information. A first set of metadata is generated that is associated with the alphanumeric information, and a second set of metadata is generated that is associated with the alphanumeric information. The first set of metadata is transmitted at a first time and the second set of metadata is transmitted at a second time subsequent to the first time. The first and/or second sets of metadata can be used to trigger an automated trade of a security. | 03-18-2010 |
20140372416 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RAPID DELIVERY OF TIERED METADATA - In one embodiment of the present invention, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a set of alphanumeric information on a single storage device. First, second and third sets of metadata that are different from each other and that are associated with different subsets of the alphanumeric information are generated by processing the alphanumeric information using first, second, and third criteria, respectively. The first set of metadata is transmitted to a user computer at a first time, the second set of metadata is transmitted to the user computer at a second time subsequent to the first time, and the third set of metadata is transmitted to the user computer at a third time subsequent to the second time. The first, second, and/or third sets of metadata can cause the automated transmission of an alert. | 12-18-2014 |

20110304642 | Process and Apparatus for Blending Images - A process and circuit for blending a foreground image (B) with a background image (A), said foreground and background images being arranged in pixels and having color representations (R, G, B). The foreground foreground image (A) has a transparency parameter (T(x,y)) in accordance with a so-called alpha plane representative of the transparency profile to apply to the foreground image. The process involves the steps of:-applying a dithering method on said alpha plane in order to convert said transparency parameter (T) into a one-bit transparency parameter (T′);-use said one-bit transparency parameter (T′) for controlling a multiplexing unit having two inputs respectively receiving the foreground image (A) and the background image (B). In one embodiment, the one-bit transparency parameter T′ into the two extreme values of a range of continuous values, for instance coded on 8 bits. The process then applies a four-pixel interpolation method to the foreground image (A) for the purpose of creating a five level transparency parameter in the blending process, and then uses the five level transparency parameter for controlling a multiplexing circuit for the purpose of achieving blending of the foreground image with the background image. | 12-15-2011 |

20090287033 | Reactor for isoparaffin olefin alkylation - An improved reactor for the autorefrigerant alkylation process has a generally cylindrical upright reactor vessel with the inlet for the refrigerant reactant and the sulfuric acid at its lower end and a series of inlets for the olefin reactant at vertically spaced intervals up the length of the reactor. An extended, sinuous flow path for the reactants is provided by means co-acting baffles which define sequential reaction zones in which alkylation takes place. The baffles interact with a rotary mixer with multiple impellers located on the reactor axis which provides agitation to the mixture ascending the reactor additional to that created by the ebullition of the refrigerant. Outlets for the vaporized refrigerant and the reaction effluent are provided at the upper end of the vessel. In the alkylation process operated in the reactor, the liquid isoparaffin hydrocarbon reactant/refrigerant with a sulfuric acid alkylation catalyst is introduced into the lower end of the reactor and passed along the extended reactant flow path with the olefin reactant introduced at intervals along the path. The reaction mixture flows alternately towards and away from the reactor walls in the sequence of serial reaction zones within the reactor to promote mixing of the isoparaffin reactant with the acid catalyst. With the evolution of the heat of reaction, a portion of the reactant refrigerant is vaporized to effect temperature control in the reactor. Agitation is provided by means of the rotary mixer with its mixing impellers in each of the sequential reaction zones. The vaporized reactant refrigerant and alkylation reaction products leave the reactor at its upper end. | 11-19-2009 |

20140143416 | GENERIC DISCOVERY FOR COMPUTER NETWORKS - A generic discovery methodology collects data pertaining to components of a computer network using various discovery technologies. From the collected data, the methodology identifies, filters and analyzes information related to inter-component communications. Using the communication and application information, the methodology determines reliable relationships for those components having sufficient information available. To qualify more components, the methodology implements a decision service to generate hypothetical relationships between components that are known and components that are unqualified or unknown. The hypothetical relationships are presented to a user for selection, and each hypothetical relationship is preferably associated with an indication of its reliability. | 05-22-2014 |
