20100154746 | Fuel-injection device - A fuel-injection device includes at least one fuel injector, one receiving bore-hole for the fuel injector, and one pipe-shaped pipe connection of a fuel rail. The fuel injector is pushed into the interior of the pipe connection by an upstream inlet connection. A bayonet closure ensures that the fuel injector is fastened in the pipe connection of the fuel rail in a secure and detachable manner. | 06-24-2010 |
20100218742 | Brennstoffeinspritzvorrichtung (Fuel Injection Device) - The fuel-injection device is characterized by an especially low-noise design. The fuel-injection device includes at least one fuel injector and a fuel rail having at least one pipe connection, the fuel injector being introduced into a receiving bore of the pipe connection, and the fuel rail having a discharge opening to supply fuel to the fuel injector. Provided between the fuel injector and the fuel rail is a pressure-wave guide connecting both, in such a way such that dynamic pressure fluctuations in the fuel injector are able to be routed largely past the volume of the receiving bore of the pipe connection. The fuel-injection device is especially suitable for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine having external ignition, but it is also suitable for the injection of fuel into an intake manifold. | 09-02-2010 |

20090252194 | METHOD FOR PASSIVE DETERMINATION OF THE OPERATING TEMPERATURE IN A THERMALLY HIGHLY LOADED DEVICE, AND APPARATUS FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD - A method is provided for determination of an operating temperature in a thermally highly loaded device. Multiple individual passive measurement elements, having a measurable physical parameter depending on a constant temperature set during heat treatment, are provided. The parameter is set differently for each of the different measurement elements which are combined to form an array. In a first measurement, values of the physical parameter for the array are determined before the array is subjected to the operating temperature. The array is subjected to the operating temperature in the device and in a second measurement, values are determined for all the measurement elements in the array. First and second measurement values of the physical parameter for each of the measurement elements are compared and the temperature of the heat treatment of that measurement element whose value of the physical parameter has changed the least is taken as the measured temperature. | 10-08-2009 |

20090120165 | Sampling Leak Detector - A sampling leak detector which comprises a basic device and a sniffling probe connected thereto via a tube. A visual display is located on the sniffling probe. A tactile indicator is provided in a handle. An acoustic indicator is arranged on the basic device. The detector can be switched to a detection mode in which the color in the visual display changes and the indicator are activated when a predetermined leakage rate is exceeded. The detector can also be switched to a locating mode in which leakage rate information is displayed by means of a bar of variable length and a sound is generated which has a parameter depending on the leakage rate information. | 05-14-2009 |
20090193876 | Sniffer lead detector comprising a detector with a quartz window - A sniffer leak detector comprising a detector with a quartz window, the window being selectively permeable to a tracer gas. The quartz window is located in a suction chamber that is connected to a vacuum pump. To reduce the response time, a gas guidance plate is situated in the suction chamber, the guidance plate and quartz window together delimiting a narrow gas guidance chamber. | 08-06-2009 |

20110186294 | OUTSIDE CASING CONVEYED LOW FLOW IMPEDANCE SENSOR GAUGE SYSTEM AND METHOD - The present document describes a sensing apparatus for lowering into a well and cementing therein at a certain depth. The sensing apparatus comprises an elongated casing and a sensor device protruding from an outside surface of the elongated casing for generating measurement data and sending the data to the surface of the well using a cable extending from the sensor device along the outside surface of the casing. A flow of cement is provided between the outside surface of the casing and the well for cementing the casing in place and isolating different layers of the well. Presence of the sensor device and the cable creates an obstruction within the flow path of the cement which may result in the formation of micro-annulus around the sensor device and the cable. In order to address this problem, a plurality of fins is provided around the casing, the fins being shaped to cause a straight flow of cement received at the fins to rotate around the longitudinal axis of the casing when exiting the fins for increasing cement flow between the elongated casing and its surrounding environment to mitigate micro-annulus formation. Another means to address this problem is to provide cable attachments which distance the cable from the casing and thereby let cement flow between the cable and the casing also mitigating micro-annulus formation. | 08-04-2011 |
