20130179438 | GOAL-ORIENTED USER MATCHING AMONG SOCIAL NETWORKING ENVIRONMENTS - Embodiments of the present invention provide an approach for goal-based user matching among social networking environments. In a typical embodiment, a querying user is asked to respond to a series of questions related to goals, criteria, and criteria priorities (and, optionally, a desired “degree” of separation among other users). The querying user will submit his/her responses, which are then parsed and prioritized accordingly. Based on the responses, social networking sites are then searched to identify a set (e.g., at least one) of candidate users that are potential collaboration partners with the querying user. This set of candidate users may be arranged in a list and sorted according to a best match to the querying user's responses. The list can then be provided to the querying user. In addition, invites can be sent to the set of candidate users to invite such users to connect/collaborate with the querying user. | 07-11-2013 |

20130335318 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DOING HAND AND FACE GESTURE RECOGNITION USING 3D SENSORS AND HARDWARE NON-LINEAR CLASSIFIERS - A method of controlling a mobile or stationary terminal comprising of the steps of one of multiple ways for 3D sensing a hand or face, recognizing the visual command input by trained hardware that does not incorporate instruction based programming and then causing some useful function to be performed by the recognized gesture on the terminal. This method is to enhance gross body gesture recognition in practice today. Gross gesture recognition has been made accessible by providing accurate skeleton tracking information down to the location of a person's hands or head. Notably missing from the skeleton tracking data, however, are the detailed positions of the person's fingers or facial gestures. Recognizing the arrangement of the fingers on a person's hand or expression on his or her face has applications in recognizing gestures such as sign language, as well as user inputs that are normally done with a mouse or a button on a controller. Tracking individual fingers or the subtleties of facial expressions poses many challenges, including the resolution of the depth camera, the possibility for fingers to occlude each other, or be occluded by the hand and performing these functions within the power and performance limitations of traditional coded architectures. This unique codeless, trainable hardware method can recognize finger gestures robustly and deal with these limitations. By recognizing facial expressions, additional information like approval, disapproval, surprise, commands and other useful inputs can be incorporated. | 12-19-2013 |

20120060866 | SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR MONITORING THE STATUS OF A DISHWASHING MACHINE - The present disclosure describes various embodiments of devices and systems for monitoring the clean/dirty status of dishes inside a dishwashing machine. In one embodiment, for example, a dishwasher status indicator can include one or more vessels for holding water to visibly indicate that a dishwashing cycle is complete. In another embodiment, the indicator can include an attachment feature or portion, such as a hook attached to the vessel. The hook can be configured to removably attach the indicator to a dishwasher frame or rack. A user can quickly determine the clean/dirty status of dishes in the dishwasher by observing whether the vessel is holding water. | 03-15-2012 |

20130117709 | Smart Window Creation in a Graphical User Interface - A method for controlling a graphical user interface (GUI) comprises preparing a window for displaying at an intended display location in a window display operation. The location of GUI control elements of the window at the intended display location and the location of a graphical cursor are identified. GUI control element location and the graphical cursor location are compared. The window display operation is modified if the two coincide, for example by moving the window display location so that they do not coincide. | 05-09-2013 |

20140165044 | TESTING PROGRAM CODE CREATED IN A DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM - A processor-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product determines a testing regime for program code created in a development system. A risk factor of a user of the development system is calculated based on information relating to previous activities of the user. The calculated risk factor, which describes a likelihood of the user damaging the development system, is used to determine a testing regime for testing program code. | 06-12-2014 |

20100172270 | Distributed Storage of Routing Information In a Link State Protocol Controlled Network - A distributed hash table is implemented to store routing information on a network. Node IDs exchanged in connection with implementation of a link state routing protocol are used as keys in the distributed hash table, and routes are stored at one or more nodes on the network. When a route is learned, the route is processed against the set of keys to determine which nodes should store the route. When a route is needed, the route is processed against the set of keys to determine which nodes should have the route information. The manner in which the route is processed against the set of keys is the same in both instances, so that the DHT may be used to store and retrieve route information on the network. The DHT may be implemented to store MAC addresses, IP addresses, MPLS labels, or other information of interest to enable routes to be stored and learned by network elements on the network. | 07-08-2010 |

20080225780 | USE OF DISTRIBUTED HASHTABLES FOR WIRELESS ACCESS MOBILITY MANAGEMENT - A method, apparatus and system for management of a wireless communication network in which the system has a plurality of access nodes. A distributed hash table (“DHT”) is created. The DHT contains mobility management data of mobile devices using the wireless communication network. The DHT is stored across at least a portion of the plurality of access nodes. | 09-18-2008 |
20140376383 | Systems and Methods for Traffic Engineering in Software Defined Networks - Traffic engineering vector operations that are capable of being independently solved can provide near-linear scalability through the exploitation of massively parallel processing. Optimization can be performed simultaneously on different paths in a data plane, as well as on different links within the same path (or within the same set of paths). In some embodiments, the traffic engineering vector operations include an adjustable alpha-fairness variable that allows managers to achieve different levels of fairness/throughput. Hence, embodiment alpha fairness techniques provide flexible policy execution, while maintaining excellent scalability for large network implementations. | 12-25-2014 |
