20100175766 | REMOTE CONTROL WATER METER - The present invention an apparatus and system for remotely operating a combination water meter and shut off valve. The apparatus and system is operated by a computer at the utility sending a signal via phone line or radio modem to the meter. Once the meter receives the signal to close, a small solenoid will open. This will allow water to enter the fill chamber, causing the piston to rise. The top of the piston is connected to a gate valve. This valve may turn off the water supply to a customer's home. To turn the water back on, a signal can be sent again to the meter, opening the drain solenoid. This allows the water to leave the fill chamber. The piston is then lowered from the return spring, opening the gate valve, allowing water to flow. | 07-15-2010 |

20140056474 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOGNIZING POLYGON STRUCTURES IN IMAGES - Technology is disclosed herein for recognizing and processing planar features in images such as walls of rooms. A method according to the technology receives a digital at a computing device. The computing device recognizes a polygonal region of the digital image corresponding to a planar feature of an object captured in the digital image. The computing device further processes the polygonal region of the digital image according to user instructions. The processed polygonal region of the digital image is visualized on a display of the computing device in real time. | 02-27-2014 |
20150015598 | ACCURATE PAINT COLOR REPRODUCTION ON DIGITAL IMAGES - Technology is disclosed herein for accurate paint color reproduction on digital images. A method according to the technology identifies a computerized color representation closely corresponding to the paint color swatch number of interest from a color sample database. The method applies the identified computerized color representation to the relational function to generate a paint color representation adjusted by an ambient light condition extracted from the area of interest in the image. Then, the method reproduces the paint color representation adjusted by the ambient light condition on the area of interest in the image. | 01-15-2015 |

20150309962 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MODELING A POPULATION TO PREDICT INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOR USING LOCATION DATA FROM SOCIAL NETWORK MESSAGES - A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and apparatus for predicting a location behavior of at least one individual are disclosed. For example, the method receives a plurality of social networking messages having spatial location data and user identification information, filters the plurality of social networking messages to remove one or more of the plurality of social networking messages that are not related to mobility of a user to create a filtered plurality of social networking messages, creates a population model by applying a kernel density estimation to the filtered plurality of social networking messages, creates an individual model for each different user identification by applying the kernel density estimation to a subset of the filtered plurality of social networking messages for the each different user identification and generates a probability density function map that predicts the location behavior of the at least one individual. | 10-29-2015 |
