20090221206 | SPINNING APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING FINE THREADS BY SPLICING - A spinning apparatus for producing fine threads by splicing, which comprises a plurality of protruding spinneret jets disposed in a spinneret jet portion and having spinning orifices from which the spinning dopes exit as monofils and having a plurality of acceleration jets, in particular Laval jets, whose cross section reduces, only to widen downstream of the smallest cross section, which are assigned to the spinning orifices is proposed to be provided with means for feeding gas streams which surround the monofils and are accelerated by the acceleration jets. The acceleration jet, in an at least partially plate-shaped gas jet portion, is constructed as a funnel-shaped depression into which the spinneret jet reaches to form gas flow channels. Means for relative displacement of the gas jet part and of the spinneret jet part relative to one another are provided such that the flow cross section of the gas flow channels is alterable and/or the position of the smallest cross section of the acceleration jets is adjustable in relation to the spinning orifices. | 09-03-2009 |
20130217290 | SPINNERET FOR SPINNING THREADS, SPINNING DEVICE FOR SPINNING THREADS AND METHOD FOR SPINNING THREADS - The invention relates to a spinneret for spinning threads from a spinning mass—in the form of a melt or solution of natural or synthetic origin—comprising a rotationally symmetrical spinneret. The rotationally symmetrical spinneret inner part is surrounded at least partially by a rotationally symmetrical outer part, wherein in the longitudinal direction between the spinneret inner part and outer part an insulating chamber is formed, in which a gas, preferably air, is received in order to form an insulating gas layer. The invention further relates to a spinning device for spinning threads from a spinning mass, comprising a spinneret part and a gas nozzle part arranged at a distance from the spinneret part. A plurality of spinnerets according to the invention are inserted in the spinneret part and project from the spinneret part, facing the gas nozzle part, and the gas nozzle part comprises a plurality of gas nozzles associated with the spinnerets. The gas nozzles are designed as acceleration nozzles for a gas flow that is conducted through the respective gas nozzle and encompasses the monofilaments. Said spinnerets are used in a method for producing spunbonded materials or yarns from polymers of natural or synthetic origin, in order to build up said materials or yarns from extremely fine threads having an average thread diameter of less than 1 μm. The threads from the individual spinnerets can also be collected using conventional winding mechanisms to form yarns on bobbins. | 08-22-2013 |

20110224802 | SHOCK ABSORBING APPARATUS AND METHOD - The present invention in one embodiment is a vacuum pump including a compressible elastomeric member with an internal reservoir enclosing a volume of fluid, an outlet port providing fluid communication between the internal reservoir and a fluid sink, and an inlet port providing fluid communication between the internal reservoir and a fluid source. The pump further includes first and second pressure elements coupled to the elastomeric member on opposing sides. At least one of the first and second pressure elements is adapted to apply a longitudinal force along, and a rotational force about, an axis extending through the compressible elastomeric member. Upon the application of a longitudinal compression force to the compressible elastomeric member, fluid flows from the internal reservoir to the fluid sink and upon the application of a longitudinal expansion force, fluid flows from the fluid source to the internal reservoir. Upon the application of a rotational force, the elastomeric member exerts a counter-rotational force. | 09-15-2011 |

20120123559 | PUMP COMPRISING A MOVING WALL AND USE OF A PUMP OF THIS TYPE - The invention relates to a pump comprising a wall, which forms an enclosed fluid volumetric space and which can be moved by a first force in a direction resulting in a decrease in volume and, after a preceding decrease in volumetric space, can be moved by a second force in a direction resulting in an increase in volume. The pump also comprises an inlet valve, which communicates with an inlet valve, and comprises an outlet valve in an outlet line of the fluid volumetric space. The inventive pump has a compact design due to the fact that it is provided in the form of a vacuum pump whose volumetric space can be decreased by the external first force acting against an elastically deformable material whose restoring force, after the external force ceases, generates the second force acting counter to the generated vacuum. | 05-17-2012 |
