20100069982 | TIME BASED ARRHYTHMIA THERAPY EFFICACY CRITERIA - An implantable medical device and associated method classify therapy outcomes and heart rhythms in association with therapy outcome. A therapy success time interval is started in response to delivering an arrhythmia therapy. If normal sinus rhythm is detected after the therapy success time interval expires, the delivered therapy is classified as unsuccessful and the detected arrhythmia is classified as a self-terminating rhythm. | 03-18-2010 |
20100168810 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS DURING OVERDRIVE PACING - A method and apparatus are provided for detecting cardiac arrhythmias during overdrive pacing. A maximum paced rate and a reduced paced rate for a heart are determined, the maximum paced rate being higher than the reduced paced rate. The heart is paced at the maximum paced rate. After the heart is paced at the maximum paced rate for a predetermined amount of time, the heart is paced at the reduced paced rate. | 07-01-2010 |
20100204574 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTIPLE INJECTION PROCEDURES ON HEART VESSELS - An angiographic injector system and a method of controllably delivering medical fluid to a patient from an angiographic injector system are disclosed. A multiple processor control system is used to actively control the injection process and to monitor sensed functions of the system. The multiple processors provide dual redundancy safety circuits for critical control functions such as syringe motor drive speed and current. A motor/servo-amplifier nested control function is also disclosed. A unique method and apparatus are disclosed for establishing injection parameter default values just prior to an injection procedure that are based on physiological values of the patient to be treated. The injector system uses an interactive display panel that presents sequenced set-up screens to the user and which enables the user to select injection procedures, parameters and other modes of operation directly through the interactive panel. | 08-12-2010 |
20110282225 | TECHNIQUES FOR REVIEWING AND ANALYZING IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE SYSTEM DATA - A computing device includes a memory device, a communication module, an interface, a processor, a display controller, and an input device. The communication module wirelessly receives a stream of first electrogram waveforms (EGMs) from an implantable medical device (IMD). The interface receives a stream of second EGMs. The processor stores the first and second EGMs and retrieves the stored first and second EGMs. The display controller displays the first and second EGMs together when the first and second EGMs are received. The input device is configured to receive a selection command from a user. The processor retrieves a portion of at least one of the first and second stored EGMs in response to the selection command. The display controller displays the retrieved portion of the at least one of the first and second stored EGMs while the processor concurrently stores the streams of the first and second EGMs. | 11-17-2011 |
20130066201 | ANGIOGRAPHIC INJECTOR SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE PROCESSOR REDUNDANCY - An angiographic injector system and a method of controllably delivering medical fluid to a patient from an angiographic injector system are disclosed. A multiple processor control system is used to actively control the injection process and to monitor sensed functions of the system. The multiple processors provide dual redundancy safety circuits for critical control functions such as syringe motor drive speed and current. A motor/servo-amplifier nested control function is also disclosed. 20090003438 | Fixed bit rate, intraframe compression and decompression of video - High quality intraframe-only compression of video can be achieved using rate distortion optimization and without resizing or bit depth modification. The compression process involves transforming portions of the image to generate frequency domain coefficients for each portion. A bit rate for each transformed portion using a plurality of scale factors is determined. Distortion for each portion is estimated according to the plurality of scale factors. A scale factor is selected for each portion to minimize the total distortion in the image to achieve a desired bit rate. A quantization matrix is selected according to the desired bit rate. The frequency domain coefficients for each portion are quantized using the selected plurality of quantizers as scaled by the selected scale factor for the portion. The quantized frequency domain coefficients are encoded using a variable length encoding to provide compressed data for each of the defined portions. The compressed data is output for each of the defined portions to provide a compressed bitstream at the desired bit rate. | 01-01-2009 |
20100310114 | WATERMARKING OF MOTION PICTURES - The problem of watermarking a sequence of images from a motion picture can be divided into two parts. The first part is embedding watermarks in the sequence of images. The second part is detecting embedded watermarks in a target sequence of images where the target sequence may have resulted from one or more attacks on an original sequence of images in which the watermarks were embedded. Motion pictures are watermarked by embedding information in different ways in different images. In general, the information to be embedded is used to define a plurality of watermark images. Each watermark image is an apparent pattern of noise in both signal and frequency domains, and is different from the other watermark images. Preferably, each watermark image is temporally uncorrelated with the other watermark images. Each watermark image is used to modify a corresponding image from the motion picture. To detect the presence of the information in a target sequence of images from a motion picture, the target images are processed to determine an alignment with a watermark sequence. When an alignment with the watermark sequence is determined, a sliding window detector is applied to detect the watermark and read the information embedded by the watermark. By embedding the same information in different ways in different images, and then detecting this information by combining data from the different images, the sensitivity of the detector is increased. | 12-09-2010 |

20120249746 | METHODS FOR DETECTING, VISUALIZING, AND CORRECTING THE PERCEIVED DEPTH OF A MULTICAMERA IMAGE SEQUENCE - A set of tools in a media composition system for stereoscopic video provides visualizations of the perceived depth field in video clips, including depth maps, depth histograms, time-based depth histogram ribbons and curves displayed in association with a media timeline, and multi-panel displays including views of clips temporally adjacent to a clip being edited. Temporal changes in perceived depth that may cause viewer discomfort are automatically detected, and when they exceed a predetermined threshold, the editor is alerted. Depth grading tools facilitate matching depths in an outgoing clip to those in an incoming clip. Depth grading can be performed automatically upon detection of excessively large or rapid perceived depth changes. | 10-04-2012 |

20090008004 | SALES PERSON'S TOTE - A carryall or tote is a bag with an open top end that communicates with at least one inner pouch volume. The open top end is closed with a releasable closure. A transparent pocket located upon the front outer surface of the bag holds an accessory, such as an electronic access key or electronic access unit to permit real estate agents to access real properties listed for sale. A back pocket located upon the back outer surface holds one or more business cards or other identification indicia. A length-adjustable neck strap is provided from which the bag may be suspended. Alternatively, the bag may be suspended by one or more belt engaging loops. In some embodiments, a pen pocket may be provided as well as an additional pouch that is releasably fastened to the bag to hold other accessories. | 01-08-2009 |

20130071890 | Production of PHA using Biogas as Feedstock and Power Source - Methods for producing bioplastics from biogas include techniques for the production of PHB using a dirty biogas (e.g., methane from landfill, digester) as both a power source for the process and as feedstock. Biogas is split into two streams, one for energy to drive the process, another as feedstock. Advantageously, the techniques may be implemented off the power grid with no dependence upon agricultural products for feedstock. | 03-21-2013 |
