20140056760 | APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR DISINFECTING A SURFACE - The invention relates to improvements in surface disinfection apparatus and methods and in particular to apparatus and methods which may be used to disinfect wounds using high concentration aqueous ozone. The method comprises the steps of flushing an ion exchange means with fluid from a fluid supply and directing the flushing fluid to waste; de-ionising fluid from the fluid supply by passing it through the ion exchange means and directing the process fluid to storage means; and purging the ion exchange means with gas to remove residual process fluid after the de-ionisation process has been completed. | 02-27-2014 |
20140099384 | APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING OZONE - The invention relates to improvements in apparatus and methods for producing ozone. The apparatus comprises: a differential pressure injector, a means for circulating aqueous fluid through the differential pressure injector and programmable control means. An ozone generator is provided for connection to an oxygen source via an oxygen delivery conduit and a first valve means is located in the oxygen delivery conduit. The ozone generator is fluidly connected to the differential pressure injector via an ozone delivery conduit and second valve means are located in the ozone delivery conduit. Pressure monitoring means are located between the ozone generator and the first valve means for providing a pressure measurement to the control means. The valve means and the fluid circulation means are operable to create a negative pressure in the oxygen and ozone delivery conduits and the pressure measurement is used by the control means to determine the integrity of the oxygen and ozone delivery conduits. | 04-10-2014 |
20140100516 | APPARATUS FOR DISINFECTING A SURFACE - The invention relates to improvements in surface disinfection apparatus and in particular to apparatus which may be used to disinfect wounds using high concentration aqueous ozone. The Apparatus comprises application means for applying the fluid to the surface to be treated, fluid delivery means for delivering the fluid to said application means and catchment means for collecting the fluid after it has been applied to the surface. Fluid return means are provided for removing the fluid from the catchment means and means for creating a vacuum in the fluid return means. The apparatus further comprises a releasable coupling having two engagable parts and comprising a plurality of channels, at least one of which channels is connected to the fluid delivery means when the parts are engaged and at least another of which channels is connected to the fluid return means when the parts are engaged. Each channel comprises valve means which open when the engagable parts are engaged to allow fluid to flow through the coupling and are closed when the engagable parts are disengaged to prevent fluid flow. Pressure monitoring means measure the pressure in the fluid return means, wherein the measured pressure is compared to a plurality of pre-set pressure values to determine the correct functioning of the apparatus. If the measured pressure is lower than a first pre-set pressure value fluid is prevented from being delivered to the application means. | 04-10-2014 |

20100296121 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENABLING AND IMPLEMENTING REAL-TIME FACSIMILE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL - Systems and methods are provided for real-time communication (e.g., fax, voice, video) via an IP Network even if a firewall or other restriction element is present or encountered. The real-time nature of the communication is ensured by preestablishing a communication session between a transfer client and a transfer server, between which the firewall or other restriction element is located. Following the preestablishment of the communication session, transmission control messages are exchanged between the transfer server and the transfer client via the preestablished communication session. The preestablished communication session prevents the firewall or other restriction element from blocking or delaying traffic (e.g., fax, voice, video traffic). The preestablished communication session establishes a full duplex communication link without restriction of or by the firewall or other communication restriction element. Accordingly, the firewall or restriction element considers traffic originating from outside of the portion of the IP network where the firewall is located to be in response to a request from the inside the IP Network. Thus, the firewall or restriction element will not act to block or delay the traffic from entry. | 11-25-2010 |
20130003132 | ADAPTIVE FAX TIMERS - Timers involved in facsimile transmissions under the T.30 specification are permitted to adapt to a given situation to improve the chances for successful facsimile transmission over high latency communication networks. The specified T1 through T5 timers for facsimile transmission may be modified in value based on call control related parameters or facsimile transport related parameters. The timers may be set to have a particular range, with a nominal base value and a maximum value, which may exceed the T.30 timer specification. The adaptive timers can be modified based on a number of different criteria related to facsimile transmissions to avoid overlapping command-response situations and stalemates that may result from communications in relatively highly latency networks. The timers may also be adapted to minimize or optimize call length while achieving successful facsimile transmissions. | 01-03-2013 |
