20110218775 | System and Method For Providing Data Corresponding To Physical Objects - There is provided a system and method for providing a visualization of data describing a physical structure. An exemplary method comprises defining an unstructured grid that corresponds to a three-dimensional physical structure, the unstructured grid comprising data representative of a property of interest. The exemplary method also comprises defining a probe as an object that comprises a set of topological elements, at least one of which does not share a common plane. The exemplary method additionally comprises providing a visualization of the unstructured grid data on the geometry defined by the probe. | 09-08-2011 |
20110251830 | System and Method For Obtaining A Model of Data Describing A Physical Structure - There is provided a system and method for obtaining a model of data describing a physical structure. An exemplary method comprises defining a three-dimensional (3D) object that corresponds to a physical structure. The 3D object comprises a set of topological elements that each has an initial geometric definition. The exemplary method also comprises creating a subsequent model of the data by updating a subset of the topological elements in the 3D object. Each updated element in the subset has a geometric definition that has changed relative to its initial geometric definition. | 10-13-2011 |
20110259598 | System and Method For Obtaining Data On An Unstructured Grid - There is provided a system and method for obtaining data corresponding to a property of interest on an unstructured grid. An exemplary method comprises defining a path of interest at least a portion of which goes through the unstructured grid. The exemplary method also comprises extracting data corresponding to the property of interest on the unstructured grid where the path of interest and the unstructured grid overlap. | 10-27-2011 |
20110259599 | System and Method For Providing Data Corresponding To Physical Objects - There is provided a system and method for providing data describing a physical structure. An exemplary method comprises defining an unstructured grid that corresponds to a three-dimensional physical structure. The unstructured grid comprises data representative of a property of interest. At least one filter object and a selection criterion are defined. A portion of the unstructured grid data that meets the selection criterion relative to the filter object is selected. | 10-27-2011 |

20110120773 | SWITCHABLE CIRCULATING TOOL - A circulating tool for use in drilling a bore hole, the tool including a plurality of pistons which, by the activation of fluid pressure, move between a first configuration in which a side port of the tool is covered by a piston and a second configuration in which two adjacent pistons separate across the port to allow fluid to jet from the port. In the first configuration, the tool has a continuous cylindrical bore to allow the passage of other tools through the tool, while a flapper valve closes the bore in the second configuration to achieve maximum jetting of fluid from the tool. A third or intermediate configuration is also described so that the tool is operable to switch multiple times between the configurations via an indexing mechanism. | 05-26-2011 |
20120145402 | DEBRIS REMOVAL METHOD AND ASSEMBLY - A method of removing debris from a well is disclosed, comprising RIH to required depth with coiled tubing having at least one closed check valve, moving a sleeve through the check valve to hold it open, opening a flow control valve located on the coiled tubing below the check valve; then reverse circulating a fluid to entrain debris in the wellbore and bring it to surface through the coiled tubing, before releasing the sleeve from the check valve; and POOH with the at least one check valve returned to the closed configuration. By holding the check valves open, reverse circulation can be performed in the well using coiled tubing, so sufficient lift can be achieved to bring the debris to surface even in underbalanced or low pressure wells. Safety measures can be maintained by having at least one check valve in the conventional closed configuration on RIH and POOH. The flow control valve allows the check valve to be opened or closed without pumping any fluid into the well and thus the sleeve can be moved to hold the check valve open with a relatively low pressure. | 06-14-2012 |
