20150221930 | ELECTROLESS DEPOSITION OF Bi, Sb, Si, Sn, AND Co AND THEIR ALLOYS - The present invention relates to production of composite materials utilizing an electroless deposition method for coating substrates with bismuth, antimony, tin, silicon, cobalt and their various compositional alloys. Substrates may be materials comprised of copper, brass, carbon, and silicon. These substrates are immersed in aqueous or ethylene glycol based solutions containing soluble ions of the desired coating material. The present invention generates desired coatings at room temperature during a period of immersion of one hour or less. In one exemplary embodiment, the method provides the electroless deposition of silicon onto copper nanoparticles in a room temperature solution of ethylene glycol. The coated nanoparticles may then be processed to form a battery electrode. In another exemplary embodiment, the method provides electroless deposition of tin onto brass foil in a room temperature aqueous solution. Battery electrodes may then be punched from the coated sheet. | 08-06-2015 |

20090188796 | Method For Identifying At Risk Cardiovascular Disease Patients - The invention provides a data base of LDL, I, IIa, IIb, IIIa, IIb, IVa, IVb and HDL2a, HDL2b, HDL 3a, HDL 3b and HDL 3c together with patient data such as HDL-C, LDL-C, Apo A, ApoB, Lp(a) and patient personal data useful for treatment, diagnosing, and monitoring cardiovascular disease. The data base contains the LDL and HDL subfraction data in quantitative mg/dl values and permits deriving relationship amongst the LDL and HDL values and cardiovascular disease. Quantitative data permits more effective treatment and monitoring of cardiovascular disease. For example, quantitative differences in LDL and HDL subclass levels can determine the need for more or less aggressive treatment. The data base which includes patient events, procedures, interventions which is correlated to LDL and HDl quantitative subclass data permits development of personalized patient treatment plans and monitoring the effectiveness of such treatment. Thus, LDL and HDL quantitative subfraction data can be used to more effectively treat and monitor cardiovascular disease. | 07-30-2009 |

20150174435 | Personal Air Filter - A personal air filter device with an air filter assembly retained in the air filter holding member is disclosed. An ear support member is attached to the air filter holding member and can be hung over the ear of the user to support the air filter holding member. Alternatively, a clip member attached to the air filter holding member can be utilized to attach the device to the user's clothing or accessories. An air tube assembly extends from the air filter holding member to the mouthpiece for the purpose of breathing filtered air flowing through the air filter assembly. An air intake check valve situated near the end of the air tube attached to a mouthpiece retaining member and an air outflow check valve situated near the outer surface of the mouthpiece retaining member to ensure exhaled air is directed out of the device and is not reinhaled. | 06-25-2015 |
