20090200460 | ETHANE IMPLANTATION WITH A DILUTION GAS - To implant a carbon-containing species, a gas containing carbon is ionized in the ion chamber. The ionization of this gas will typically produce a number of ionized species. However, many of these resulting ionized species are not beneficial to the desired implant, as they contain only non-carbon atoms. These species must be eliminated before the implantation, leaving only carbon-based species. However, the current of the desired species may be low, thereby requiring extra energy or time to implant the desired dosage of carbon into a substrate. This can be improved through the use of a second gas. This second gas is used to dilute the primary carbon-containing gas to be ionized in the ion chamber. By incorporating this dilution gas, more of the resulting ionized species are beneficial to the carbon implantation. | 08-13-2009 |

20140373725 | CARTRIDGE AND ASSEMBLY FOR OBTAINING A BEVERAGE - A cartridge for obtaining a beverage by injecting into the cartridge a pressurized fluid, comprising a box-like body, which accommodates a substance from which it is possible to extract the beverage, and which accommodates on its inside an insert which separates the substance from a bottom wall of the box-like body, forming an interspace. The insert comprises an orifice for the passage of the beverage toward the interspace, whereas the bottom wall comprises a region which can be pierced to obtain an opening for the outflow of the beverage. In the interspace there is a basin which is arranged laterally with respect to the pierceable region in order to accumulate the beverage received directly from the orifice and make it flow out of the opening by overflowing. | 12-25-2014 |

20120172944 | METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR OPTIMIZING CARDIAC OUTPUT, PREVENTING BACKWARD HEART FAILURE, AND MINIMIZING DIASTOLIC MYOCARDIAL WALL STRESS BY CONTROLLING LEFT VENTRICULAR FILLING - Apparatus for diastole trimming including a controller for producing a diastole ending signal, and one or more leads connected to the controller, for carrying the signal to lead connections to a heart, characterized by the controller detecting when a left ventricle (LV) of the heart is mostly full, and producing the diastole ending signal such that the diastole duration is trimmed. Apparatus for diastole trimming including a controller for producing a diastole ending signal, and a connection to a pacemaker, characterized by the controller having decision rules for indicating to the pacemaker when to fire and end the diastole. A method of programming a pacemaker characterized by increasing cardiac output by trimming duration of diastole. A method for increasing cardiac output including producing a signal to trim diastole duration, thereby increasing heart rate (HR) and increasing a product of stroke volume (SV) times HR. Related apparatus and methods are also described. | 07-05-2012 |
