20110293135 | DOCUMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD - A software tool referred to as a “mailman” monitors certain folders on a network for new scanned documents. A user places a stamp on a document, then uses a digital copier to store the scanned document to one of the monitored folders on the network. When the mailman sees a new scanned document in one of the folders it is monitoring, the mailman retrieves the document, processes the document to determine the number on the stamp, queries a Post Office application for document processing instructions corresponding to the stamp number, performs any required processing of the document, then delivers the processed document to the Post Office. When the Post Office receives the processed document, the processed document is stored in a document repository in the Post Office, and is processed by the Post Office according to document processing instructions corresponding to the stamp number. | 12-01-2011 |

20110154032 | Mobile Security System and Method - A system and method for providing a secure environment for mobile telephones and other devices are disclosed. The system and method may utilize trust zoning, layered memory, and a secure matrix model having, for example, a memory protection module for protecting memory; a secure debug module for ensuring security of the debug module; a secure file system module for protecting the secure file system; and a trusted time source module for protecting components. Embodiments of the present invention may protect against security attacks on a variety of hardware and software components while permitting suitable levels of accessibility for developmental and maintenance purposes. | 06-23-2011 |
20110170611 | VIDEO ENCODING AND DECODING TECHNIQUES - This disclosure describes video encoding techniques capable of reducing the number of processing cycles and memory transfers necessary to encode a video sequence. In this manner, the disclosed video encoding techniques may increase video encoding speed and reduce power consumption. In general, the video encoding techniques make use of a candidate memory that stores video blocks in columns corresponding to a search space for a motion estimation routine. A memory control unit addresses the candidate memory to retrieve multiple pixels in parallel for simultaneous comparison to pixels in a video block to be encoded, e.g., using Sum of Absolute Difference (SAD) or Sum of Squared Difference (SSD) techniques. A difference processor performs the parallel calculations. In addition, for subsequent video blocks to be encoded, the candidate memory can be incrementally updated by loading a new column of video blocks, rather than reloading the entire search space. | 07-14-2011 |

20150081443 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADVERTISING - An advertisement sharing system transmits by a processor an advertisement to a first user device based on a criterion for transmitting the advertisement. A request is received from the first user device to share the advertisement with a second user device. A reference to the advertisement and/or advertisement is transmitted to the second user device. A request is received from the second user device to retrieve the advertisement related to the reference to the advertisement and/or advertisement. Whether or not to transmit the advertisement to the second user device is determined based on the request from the second user device and the criterion for transmitting the advertisement. The advertisement is transmitted to the second user device based on the determination. | 03-19-2015 |
