20080281659 | Method and Apparatus for Optimization in Workflow Management Systems - Activities within a workflow are either data management activities (DMAs) or non-DMAs. A workflow is typically carried out by a system by executing one activity after the other. This can, however, be very time consuming. A method and system are provided for optimizing a group of activities (GOA) comprising a DMA, whereby the GOA is comprised in the workflow to improve the overall performance. The method determines the DMAs, and for each DMA, a data level statement (DLS). The GOA is determined and a process graph model (PGM) is determined from the GOA so that the DLS is comprised in the PGM and the semantics of the PGM are identical to those of the GOA. The PGM is optimized for which an optimized GOA is determined. The semantics of the optimized GOA are identical to those of the GOA. In the workflow, the GOA is replaced by the optimized GOA. | 11-13-2008 |
20100169148 | INTERACTION SOLUTIONS FOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT - The present invention provides a system, architecture and process to support new interaction paradigms in customer support. Specifically, the approach of the present invention will unify through a new process and innovative system architecture the two basic methods of in house support and online support. To accomplish this unification, the present invention enables customers to work together as peers in problem resolution by exploiting the customer expertise (they work with the products on a daily basis and often have deep understanding what works/does not work). Among other things, the present invention provides: incentives for customers to participate in this new support; a rating infrastructure in which multiple good ratings helps to become “THE EXPERT” by increasing the score; incentives upon receipt of good ratings and or certain score levels; a problem routing mechanism; Master Data Management (MDM) for insights in customers and products. | 07-01-2010 |
20100185510 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TURNING VIRTUAL WORLD PARTICIPANTS INTO REAL LIFE LEADS - The present disclosure details a method and system used for turning human participants who control avatars in a virtual world setting into real life marketing leads. In one embodiment, a virtual location is presented within a virtual world to facilitate interaction with an avatar. The avatar is identified within a master data management system, and a profile of the human behind the avatar is created or retrieved. To encourage the human user to provide real-world information through the avatar within the virtual world, an incentive is offered and awarded as necessary. The real-world information about the human user, such as address or demographic information about the human user is collected and stored in the profile, and eventually synchronized with a CRM system. As appropriate, the data collected and compiled in the CRM system may be used to launch marketing campaigns. | 07-22-2010 |
20100250620 | ONE CLICK CREATION OF LINKAGES BETWEEN MASTER DATA RECORDS - A method and system for creating interrecord relationships between master data records stored in a relational database are provided. The method includes receiving information for a first master data record from a user, searching a plurality of master data records in the relational database for candidates that have a potential of being related to the processed master data record, the searching performed automatically in response to the receiving, determining at least one possible relationship type between the candidates found as a result of the searching and the first master data record, and presenting the at least one possible relationship type and the candidates found as a result of the searching to the user. The disclosed method and system allow a user to create and maintain relationships between multiple master data records with minimal steps. | 09-30-2010 |
20110055147 | GENERATING EXTRACT, TRANSFORM, AND LOAD (ETL) JOBS FOR LOADING DATA INCREMENTALLY - Systems, methods and articles of manufacture are disclosed for generating an incremental ETL job from an instance of an abstract ETL operator model representing an exhaustive ETL job for loading data from a source schema to a target schema. In one embodiment, the abstract operator model may be extended to include incremental variants of operators of the abstract ETL operator model. From the instance of the abstract ETL operator model and from the extended ETL operator model, a corresponding instance of the extended ETL operator model may be generated. An incremental ETL job may be deployed from the instance of the extended ETL operator model. The incremental ETL job may be executed to load data from the source schema to the target schema. | 03-03-2011 |
20120227055 | Workflow Processing System and Method with Database System Support - Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing and using techniques for automatic workflow processing in a workflow processing computer system. A data management system support module receives a data management activity description, determines a set of set references associated with the data management activity, determines a set of data sources associated with the set of set references within a data management system, determines whether the data management system includes infrastructure for accessing the references and for accessing the data sources, in response to determining that the infrastructure is not included, automatically creates the infrastructure from information in a metadata repository coupled to the data management system, replaces in the data management activity description references to set references and references to data sources by references to the infrastructure in the data management system, and delivers the data management activity description for execution by the system. | 09-06-2012 |
20120330911 | AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF INSTANTIATION RULES TO DETERMINE QUALITY OF DATA MIGRATION - During migration of data from at least one data source to a target system, data quality is determined by obtaining metadata associated with the target system, automatically generating instantiated rules for assessing a quality of data to be loaded from the at least one data source into the target system, where the instantiated rules are dependent upon the obtained metadata associated with the target system, and applying a quality analysis based upon the instantiated rules to the data to be loaded into the target system. The quality analysis provides an indication of a level of compliance of the data with requirements of the target system. | 12-27-2012 |
20130198857 | PROCESSING OF RESTRICTED ACCESS DATA - Embodiments related to processing of restricted-access data. An aspect includes receiving a request for data from a user by a storage system infrastructure comprising a centralized database that stores non-restricted access data and a local system that stores restricted-access data associated with a first set of areas or entities and comprising a federated database for providing a federated view, wherein the requested data comprises restricted-access first data and non-restricted access second data. Another aspect includes based on an association of the user, routing, by a routing entity, the request to the local system. Another aspect includes receiving the request at the at least one federated database of the local system. Another aspect includes retrieving from the federated database the restricted-access first data and the non-restricted access second data. Another aspect includes displaying the federated view comprising the restricted-access first data and the non-restricted access second data to the user. | 08-01-2013 |
20140059561 | REALLOCATING JOBS FOR CHECKING DATA QUALITY - The invention provides for checking data quality of data of an application program by a data quality management system. At least one of a plurality of jobs are executed for evaluating the data for compliance with one or more quality criteria. The runtime behavior of the at least one executed job is monitored to determine a current runtime behavior of the executed job. The monitored job is reclassified by reallocating the job to a job set representing the determined current runtime behavior. | 02-27-2014 |
