20150013920 | BATTERY POWERED VENETIAN AND ROMAN SHADE SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE - A Venetian shade and Roman shade assembly is presented having a header with a drive shaft assembly positioned in the header, the drive shaft having a plurality of lift and tilt spool assemblies. A motor controller assembly is removably positioned within the header and connected to the drive shaft assembly. The motor controller assembly includes a motor, a plurality of batteries and a motor controller that is wirelessly controllable by a remote. When the motor of the motor controller assembly is activated, the motor rotates the drive shaft assembly thereby raising or lowering the shade material as well as tilting the shade material. | 01-15-2015 |
20140352897 | Bottom Load Bracket For An Architectural Covering - An architectural covering with a roll tube rotatably connected to mounting brackets at opposing ends and having shade material wrapped around the roll tube. The roll tube has a hollow interior with a motor assembly, a battery tube assembly and a spring assembly positioned within the hollow interior of the roll tube. One end of the architectural covering is mounted to a top loading bracket whereas the opposite end of the architectural covering is connected to a bottom loading bracket. The bottom loading bracket includes a recessed portion having an axel opening and a deflectable clip member that covers the axel opening. As an axel is inserted into the bracket, the clip member deflects allowing the axel to enter the axel slot and the clip member locks the axel into the axel slot. In this way an improved method of installing architectural coverings is presented. | 12-04-2014 |
20140305601 | Spring counterbalance apparatus and method - A spring counterbalance apparatus and method consists of a shade system with a torque profile, where the shade system is connected with a drive shaft. A first spring system is connected with the drive shaft where the first spring system is a standard wound spring system. A second spring system is connected with the drive shaft where the second spring system is a reverse wound spring system and where, in combination, the first spring system and the second spring system produce a counterbalance torque profile approximately equal to the shade system torque profile. | 10-16-2014 |
20140076503 | ROTATABLE DRIVE ELEMENT FOR MOVING A WINDOW COVERING - A curtain assembly comprises a rotatable drive element wherein at least one helical guide structure is formed on, or into, the outer surface of the drive element. A drive attachment element having a structure that communicates with the helical guide structure to move the drive attachment element axially along the drive element when the drive element is rotated. Specific embodiments incorporate either a manual or motor-driven rotation assembly for rotating the drive element. Further specific embodiments involve a helical guide structure that comprises a helical groove and a structure that comprises a tooth that engages with the helical groove. | 03-20-2014 |
