20140197996 | PLANAR INVERTED F ANTENNA - Provided is a planar inverted F antenna to which a feeding line can be readily connected. Two slits are provided from the open end side of a main conductive plate that functions as an excitation conductive plate up to locations where input impedance is Z (=50Ω). Between these slits is used as a microstrip line (MSL) and the width (w) is determined such that the characteristic impedance for the transmission line is Z. Power can be supplied by the MSL to the locations where input impedance is Z, by providing the slits from the radiation end side of the main conductive plate and using part of the main conductive plate as the MSL. For connection of the feeding line from the outside, a characteristic impedance (Z) connection line, for example the central conductor for a coaxial line, is used and connected as the feeding pin to the open end of the MSL. The connection position for the feeding pin is not a feeding point as required for position precision, because there is no need to consider position precision and connection can, therefore, be readily made.
