Abstract:
A tubular conduit dispensing spout is fluidly connected and integrated to
a partially hollow anchor screw shaped body having a main valve for
regulating the dispense and flow of a supply liquid or dry granular
products though the spout opening. Within the spout valve body are slot
openings allowing for the easeful flow of product from the spout opening
to another point.Claims:
1. A reusable spout comprising a hollowed conduit body, wherein said body
has one or more intake holes and multiple external screw threads, wherein
said spout has a closed sharp puncture point at a first end defining a
tip, and a second end having an internal 1/3 split diverter within an
opening, such that said one or more intake holes and said opening define
a conduit to allow fluid or granular products to pass through.
2. The reusable spout of claim 1, wherein the spout comprises nylon or other synthetic durable material.
3. The reusable spout of claim 1, wherein the spout comprises zinc or similar durable metal, or natural material.
4-8. (canceled)
9. The reusable spout of claim 1, wherein the 1/3 split diverter is made of a pliable material.
10-11. (canceled)
12. The reusable spout of claim 1, wherein the body is tubular.
13. The reusable spout of claim 1, wherein the body is funnel shaped.
14. The reusable spout of claim 1, comprising an attached cap configured to seal the opening.
Description:
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] This invention relates to a conduit dispenser spout and more particularly to a liquid or dry granular product conduit dispensing spout that allows for the easeful flow of a liquid or granular product from a carton type container to a given end point.
INVENTION BACKGROUND
[0002] Throughout history, various types of spouts have been used for the conduit dispensing of liquids, grains and other materials. Examples of different spouts include those found on tea pots, as well as the various types of coffee pouring vessels, beverage bottle necks, water faucets, roof gutters, water hoses. Spouts can also be as rudimentary as punched paper flap opening found on baking soda and powder washing detergent boxes. Some examples of US patents on spouts include: [0003] Diverter spout, U.S. Pat. No. 6,925,662 [0004] No-spill, vapor-recovery, container spout, U.S. Pat. No. 6,889,732 [0005] Spout structure of a drinking fountain for a pet, U.S. Pat. No. 6,786,180 [0006] Beverage bottle nipple and adapter U.S. No. Pat. 7,185,775 [0007] Drinking vessel with retractable straw U.S. No. Pat. 7,093,735 [0008] Closure with hinged hook U.S. No. Pat. 6,766,917
[0009] Though such designs have come into rather common use and commercial success, there has been a continuing need for improvement in terms of multi-functionality and ease for the consumer.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0010] The device is typically tube or funnel shaped and provides ease in pour out a measured amount of a given product in a continual stream.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0011] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the new design for the Twist-in-Pour-out Spout.
[0012] FIG. 2 is a top plan view of the new design for the Twist-in-Pour-out Spout.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0013] The present invention therefore aims at providing a pour spout that eases the overall access to a contained liquid or granular products typically accessed via a number of poorly designed integrated flap spouts or so-called recloseable milk-type carton openings. Generally a spout does not consist of an attached body that is insertable into an object. By incorporating a penetrating `opener` the consumer has virtual immediate access to a product with minimal manipulation of a consumer product such has a box of cane sugar, powdered laundry detergent, or a carton of milk. At the opening immediately within the mouth of the spout is a removable, pliable 1/3 split diverter that acts to separate or, to an extent, sift in particular, granular products, which may tend to compress and clog when pouring. Important features of this spout utility are that its structure allows for the hygienic access to a product, as the consumer has not the need to use their fingers, or inappropriate devices such as knives, corkscrew, etc, to gain access of the product, and that the item is reusable, and therefore environmentally friendly. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with regard to the following description, appended claims, and accompanying drawings.
[0014] FIGS. 1 and 2 show the reusable spout 1 having a body with two ends. The first end 2 is pointed to puncture into the desired container, while the second end comprises an opening 3. Intake holes 4 are provided on the body which allow granulated or liquid material to flow into the body and out the opening 3. An attached cap 5 can be used to seal the opening 3 close. The body of the spout 1 also includes external screw threads 6 to secure the spout 1 into the container while pouring out the contents through the opening 3. A split divider 7 is also shown within the opening 3.
