DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0019] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new storage device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
[0020] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 7, the disposable wipes storage assembly 10 generally comprises a box 12 that is comprised of a fluid impermeable material, such as steel or the like, to contain moistened cleaning wipes 14. The box 12 has a bottom wall 16 and an outer wall 18, and the outer wall 18 has a distal edge 20 that defines an opening 22 into the box 12. A first lid 24 is hingedly coupled to the box 12 for closing the box 12 and the first lid 24 has a cut 26 extending therethrough to dispense the moistened cleaning wipes 14 outwardly therethrough. As is most clearly shown in FIG. 6, the bottom wall 16 has a pair of holes 27 extending therethrough to engage fasteners in a wall for mounting the box 12 to the wall.
[0021] The first lid 24 has a top wall 28 and a perimeter wall 30 extending away therefrom, and the perimeter wall 30 has a front side 32 and a back side 34. The back side 34 is hingedly coupled to the distal edge 20 of the outer wall 18 of the box 12 and the cut 26 extends through the top wall 28 of the first lid 24. A clasp 36 is coupled to the first lid 24 and the clasp 36 releasably engages the box 12 when the first lid 24 is closed for retaining the first lid 24 in a closed position. The clasp 36 is positioned on the front side 32 of the perimeter wall 30 and the clasp 36 engages the outer wall 18 of the box 12 when the first lid 24 is closed. A lip 38 is coupled to and extends away from the top wall 28 of the first lid 24 and the lip 38 forms a closed loop that surrounds the cut 26.
[0022] A second lid 40 is hingedly coupled to the first lid 24 and the second lid 40 covers the cut 26 when the second lid 40 is closed. Conversely, the second lid 40 exposes the cut 26 when the second lid 40 is opened to facilitate the moistened cleaning wipes 14 to be drawn outwardly therefrom. The second lid 40 has an upper wall 42 and a perimeter wall 44 extending away therefrom, and the perimeter wall 44 of the second lid 40 has a distal edge 46 with respect to the upper wall 42. The distal edge 46 of the perimeter wall 44 of the second lid 40 has a groove 48 extending toward the upper wall 42. The groove 48 receives the lip 38 on the top wall 28 of the first lid 24 when the second lid 40 is closed such that the second lid 40 forms a fluid impermeable seal with the lip 38. In this way the second lid 40 inhibits the moistened cleaning wipes 14 from drying out. In an alternative embodiment 50 as is most clearly shown in FIG. 7, a stand 52 is provided that has a base 54 and a pole 56. The pole 56 has distal end 58 with respect to the base 54 and the bottom wall 16 of the box 12 is coupled to the distal end 58 of the pole 56.
[0023] In use, the moistened cleaning wipes 14 are placed in the box 12 and the first lid 24 is closed to retain the moistened cleaning wipes 14 in the box 12. The second lid 40 is opened and one or more moistened cleaning wipes 14 is drawn outwardly through the cut 26 for use. The second lid 40 is closed when the desired number of moistened cleaning wipes 14 is drawn out of the box 12 to inhibit the moistened cleaning wipes 14 in the box 12 from drying out.
[0024] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0025] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word "comprising" is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article "a" does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
