Abstract:

A temperature controlled garment assembly for heating or cooling a user with moving air includes a jacket that is wearable on a user. A plurality of conduits is integrated into the jacket and each of the conduits is perforated for passing air outwardly therefrom. A housing is integrated into the jacket and a blower is positioned in the housing. The blower blows air into the plurality of conduits when the blower is turned on to blow air onto the user when the user wears the jacket. A heater is positioned in the housing to warm the user when the user wears the jacket and when the heater is turned on. A cooler is positioned in the housing to cool the user when the user wears the jacket and when the cooler is turned on.

Claims:

1. A temperature controlled garment assembly being configured to warm or cool a user, said assembly comprising: a jacket being wearable on a user, said jacket having an inner layer and an outer layer, said outer layer being comprised of a fire resistant material, said outer layer being comprised of a fluid impermeable material, said inner layer being comprised of a fluid permeable material, said jacket having a body and a pair of sleeves; a plurality of conduits, each of said conduits being integrated into said jacket, each of said conduits being perforated wherein each of said conduits is configured to pass air outwardly therefrom; a housing being integrated into said jacket; a blower being positioned in said housing, and into said plurality of conduits when said blower is turned on wherein said blower is configured to blow air onto the user when the user wears said jacket; a heater being positioned in said housing, said heater being in thermal communication with said blower, said heater heating air being blown by said blower when said heater is turned on wherein said heater is configured to warm the user when the user wears said jacket; and a cooler being positioned in said housing, said cooler being in thermal communication with said blower, said cooler cooling air being blown by said blower when said cooler is turned on wherein said cooler is configured to cool the user when the user wears said jacket.

The assembly according to claim 1, wherein each of said conduits has an outer wall, said outer wall of each of said conduits having a plurality of air holes extending therethrough, said air holes being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along an entire length of each of said conduits, said air holes in each of said conduits being directed toward said inner layer of said jacket wherein each of said conduits is configured to direct air onto the user when the user wears said jacket.

The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said plurality of conduits includes a body conduit and a pair of arm conduits, said body conduit being positioned on a back side of said body, said body conduit being vertically oriented in said body, said body conduit having a bottom end and a top end.

The assembly according to claim 3, wherein each of said arm conduits is positioned in a respective one of said arms, each of said arm conduits being fluidly coupled to said top end of said body conduit, each of said arm conduits having a terminal end, said terminal end of each of said conduits being positioned adjacent to a cuff of said respective sleeve.

The assembly according to claim 4, wherein: said housing has an intake and an exhaust, said bottom end of said body conduit being fluidly coupled to said exhaust; said blower being in fluid communication between said intake and said exhaust, said blower urging air inwardly through said intake and outwardly through said exhaust when said blower is turned on.

6. The assembly according to claim 1, further comprising a heat button being movably coupled to said housing, said heat button being electrically coupled to said heater, said heat button turning said heater on and off when said button is manipulated.

7. The assembly according to claim 1, further comprising a cool button being movably coupled to said housing, said cool button being electrically coupled to said cooler, said cool button turning said cooler on and off when said cool button is manipulated.

8. The assembly according to claim 1, further comprising a power supply being coupled to said housing, said power supply being electrically coupled to said blower, said heater and said cooler, said power supply comprising at least one battery.

9. The assembly according to claim 8, further comprising a power button being movably coupled to said housing, said power button being electrically coupled to said power supply, said power button turning said power supply on and off.

10. A temperature controlled garment assembly being configured to warm or cool a user, said assembly comprising: a jacket being wearable on a user, said jacket having an inner layer and an outer layer, said outer layer being comprised of a fire resistant material, said outer layer being comprised of a fluid impermeable material, said inner layer being comprised of a fluid permeable material, said jacket having a body and a pair of sleeves, said body having a back side; a plurality of conduits, each of said conduits being integrated into said jacket, each of said conduits being perforated wherein each of said conduits is configured to pass air outwardly therefrom, each of said conduits having an outer wall, said outer wall of each of said conduits having a plurality of air holes extending therethrough, said air holes being spaced apart from each other and being distributed along an entire length of each of said conduits, said air holes in each of said conduits being directed toward said inner layer of said jacket wherein each of said conduits is configured to direct air onto the user when the user wears said jacket, said plurality of conduits including a body conduit and a pair of arm conduits, said body conduit being positioned on said back side of said body, said body conduit being vertically oriented in said body, said body conduit having a bottom end and a top end, each of said arm conduits being positioned in a respective one of said arms, each of said arm conduits being fluidly coupled to said top end of said body conduit, each of said arm conduits having a terminal end, said terminal end of each of said conduits being positioned adjacent to a cuff of said respective sleeve; a housing being integrated into said jacket, said housing having an intake and an exhaust, said bottom end of said body conduit being fluidly coupled to said exhaust; a blower being positioned in said housing, said blower being in fluid communication between said intake and said exhaust, said blower urging air inwardly through said intake when said blower is turned on, said blower urging air outwardly through said exhaust and into said plurality of conduits when said blower is turned on wherein said blower is configured to blow air onto the user when the user wears said jacket; a heater being positioned in said housing, said heater being in thermal communication with said blower, said heater heating air being blown by said blower when said heater is turned on wherein said heater is configured to warm the user when the user wears said jacket; a cooler being positioned in said housing, said cooler being in thermal communication with said blower, said cooler cooling air being blown by said blower when said cooler is turned on wherein said cooler is configured to cool the user when the user wears said jacket; a heat button being movably coupled to said housing, said heat button being electrically coupled to said heater, said heat button turning said heater on and off when said button is manipulated; a cool button being movably coupled to said housing, said cool button being electrically coupled to said cooler, said cool button turning said cooler on and off when said cool button is manipulated; a power supply being coupled to said housing, said power supply being electrically coupled to said blower, said heater and said cooler, said power supply comprising at least one battery; and a power button being movably coupled to said housing, said power button being electrically coupled to said power supply, said power button turning said power supply on and off.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The disclosure relates to garment devices and more particularly pertains to a new garment device for heating or cooling a user with moving air.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a jacket that is wearable on a user. A plurality of conduits is integrated into the jacket and each of the conduits is perforated for passing air outwardly therefrom. A housing is integrated into the jacket and a blower is positioned in the housing. The blower blows air into the plurality of conduits when the blower is turned on to blow air onto the user when the user wears the jacket. A heater is positioned in the housing to warm the user when the user wears the jacket and when the heater is turned on. A cooler is positioned in the housing to cool the user when the user wears the jacket and when the cooler is turned on.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0018] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new garment device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0019] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the temperature controlled garment assembly 10 generally comprises a jacket 12 that is wearable on a user. The jacket 12 has an inner layer 14 and an outer layer 16. The outer layer 16 is comprised of a fire resistant material and the outer layer 16 is comprised of a fluid impermeable material. In this way the user is protected from flames and from precipitation. The inner layer 14 is comprised of a fluid permeable material, including but not being limited to, an organic textile, a synthetic fabric or any other type of breathable material. The jacket 12 has a body 18 and a pair of sleeves 20, and the body 18 has a back side 22.

[0020] A plurality of conduits 24 is provided and each of the conduits 24 is integrated into the jacket 12. Each of the conduits 24 is perforated to pass air outwardly therefrom. Each of the conduits 24 has an outer wall 26 and the outer wall 26 of each of the conduits 24 has a plurality of air holes 28 extending therethrough. The air holes 28 are spaced apart from each other and are distributed along an entire length of each of the conduits 24. The air holes 28 in each of the conduits 24 are directed toward the inner layer 14 of the jacket 12 to direct air onto the user when the user wears the jacket 12.

[0021] The plurality of conduits 24 includes a body conduit 30 and a pair of arm conduits 32. The body conduit 30 is positioned on the back side 22 of the body 18 and the body conduit 30 is vertically oriented in the body 18. The body conduit 30 has a bottom end 34 and a top end 36. Each of the arm conduits 32 is positioned in a respective one of the sleeves 20 and each of the arm conduits 32 is fluidly coupled to the top end 36 of the body conduit 30. Each of the arm conduits 32 has a terminal end 38 and the terminal end 38 of each of the conduits 24 is positioned adjacent to a cuff 40 of the respective sleeve 20.

[0022] A housing 42 is integrated into the jacket 12 and the housing 42 has an intake 44 and an exhaust 46. A pocket 41 may be sewn onto an outer surface 43 of the inner layer 14 of the jacket 12. The housing 42 may be removably positioned in the pocket 41. The bottom end 34 of the body conduit 30 is fluidly coupled to the exhaust 46. A blower 48 is positioned in the housing 42 and the blower 48 is in fluid communication between the intake 44 and the exhaust 46. The blower 48 urges air inwardly through the intake 44 when the blower 48 is turned on. Additionally, the blower 48 urges air outwardly through the exhaust 46 and into the plurality of conduits 24 when the blower 48 is turned on. In this way the blower 48 can blow air onto the user when the user wears the jacket 12. The blower 48 may comprise an electronic blower that includes an electric motor and a fan that is coupled to the electric motor.

[0023] A heater 50 is positioned in the housing 42 and the heater 50 is in thermal communication with the blower 48. The heater 50 heats air that is blown by the blower 48 when the heater 50 is turned on. In this way the heater 50 can warm the user when the user wears the jacket 12. The heater 50 may comprise an electric heater that has an operational temperature ranging between approximately 80.0 degrees Fahrenheit and 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit.

[0024] A cooler 52 is positioned in the housing 42 and the cooler 52 is in thermal communication with the blower 48. The cooler 52 cools air that is blown by the blower 48 when the cooler 52 is turned on. In this way the cooler 52 can cool the user when the user wears the jacket 12. The cooler 52 may comprise a peltier cooler or other miniaturized type of electronic cooler 52.

[0025] A heat button 54 is movably coupled to the housing 42 and the heat button 54 is electrically coupled to the heater 50. The heat button 54 turns the heater 50 on and off when the button is manipulated. A cool button 56 is movably coupled to the housing 42 and the cool button 56 is electrically coupled to the cooler 52. The cool button 56 turns the cooler 52 on and off when the cool button 56 is manipulated.

[0026] A power supply 58 is coupled to the housing 42 and the power supply 58 is electrically coupled to the blower 48, the heater 50 and the cooler 52. The power supply 58 comprises at least one battery 60. A power button 62 is movably coupled to the housing 42 and the power button 62 is electrically coupled to the power supply 58. The power button 62 turns the power supply 58 on and off.

[0027] In use, the jacket 12 is worn when the user is working outdoors or when the user is working in a hazardous environment. The power button 62 is depressed to turn the blower 48 on for blowing air on the user while the user wears the jacket 12. In this way the user can be kept cool in a hot environment. Additionally, the cool button 56 can be depressed to cool the air below ambient temperature for additionally cooling. The heat button 54 can be depressed to heat the air blown by the blower 48. In this way the user can be warmed when the user is working in a cold environment.

[0028] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
