Abstract:
Systems and methods for controlled IP access using a distributed ledger
are disclosed. An example system may include a controller configured to:
access a distributed ledger including intellectual property (IP) data
about IP assets, where the IP assets include an aggregate stack of IP;
tokenize the IP data; and interpret a distributed ledger operation
corresponding to one of the IP assets. The controller may also be
configured to: determine an analytic result value in response to the
distributed ledger operation and the tokenized IP data, where the
analytic result value includes statistical information corresponding to
access events for an IP asset or distribution of IP assets according to
access event rates; and to provide a report of the analytic result value;
and record a transaction on the distributed ledger in response to
providing the report.Claims:
1. A transaction-enabling system comprising a controller, wherein the
controller is configured to: access a distributed ledger comprising a
plurality of intellectual property (IP) data corresponding to a plurality
of IP assets, wherein the plurality of IP assets comprises an aggregate
stack of IP; tokenize the plurality of IP data; interpret a distributed
ledger operation corresponding to at least one of the plurality of IP
assets; determine an analytic result value in response to the distributed
ledger operation and the tokenized plurality of IP data, wherein the
analytic result value comprises statistical information corresponding to:
access events for the at least one of the plurality of IP assets, or
distribution of the plurality of IP assets according to access event
rates; provide a report of the analytic result value; and record a
transaction on the distributed ledger in response to providing the
report.
2. The system of claim 1, wherein the distributed ledger operation comprises at least one operation selected from the operations consisting of: accessing IP data corresponding to one of the plurality of IP assets; executing a process utilizing IP data corresponding to one of the plurality of IP assets; adding IP data to the distributed ledger, the added IP data corresponding to an additional IP asset added to the aggregate stack of IP; and removing IP data from the distributed ledger, the removed IP data corresponding to one of the plurality of IP assets removed from the aggregate stack of IP.
3. The system of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to restrict elements associated with the report based at least in part on a target entity for the report.
4. The system of claim 3, wherein the restricted elements include at least one of information within the report or a type of report available.
5. The system of claim 3, wherein the restricted elements include at least one of an underlying set of distributed ledger operations or related IP assets utilized by the controller to inform the report.
6. The system of claim 3, wherein the controller is further configured to restrict elements by providing at least one restricted element as a default parameter value.
7. The system of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to restrict elements based at least in part on an entity requesting the report.
8. The system of claim 7, wherein the restricted elements include at least one of: information within the report, a type of report available, an underlying set of distributed ledger operations, or related IP assets utilized to inform the report.
9. The system of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to restrict elements by providing at least one restricted element as a default parameter value.
10. A method, comprising: accessing a distributed ledger comprising a plurality of IP data corresponding to a plurality of IP assets, wherein the plurality of IP assets comprises an aggregate stack of IP; tokenizing the IP data; interpreting a distributed ledger operation corresponding to at least one of the plurality of IP assets; determining an analytic result value in response to the distributed ledger operation and the tokenized IP data, wherein the analytic result value comprises statistical information corresponding to: access events for the at least one of the plurality of IP assets, or distribution of the plurality of IP assets according to access event rates; providing a report of the analytic result value; and recording a transaction on the distributed ledger in response to providing the report.
11. The method of claim 10, further comprising restricting elements associated with the report based at least in part on a target entity for the report.
12. The method of claim 11, wherein restricting elements include at least one of: restricting information within the report or restricting a type of report available.
13. The method of claim 11, wherein restricting elements include at least one of: restricting an underlying set of distributed ledger operations, or restricting related IP assets utilized to inform the report.
14. The method of claim 11, wherein restricting elements defaults to restricting one or more default parameter values.
15. The method of claim 10, further comprising restricting elements associated with the report based at least in part on an entity requesting the report.
16. The method of claim 15, wherein restricting elements includes at least one of: restricting information within the report, restricting a type of report available, restricting an underlying set of distributed ledger operations, or restricting related IP assets utilized to inform the report.
17. The method of claim 10, further comprising restricting elements by providing at least one restricted element as a default parameter value.
18. A transaction-enabling system comprising a controller, wherein the controller is configured to: access a distributed ledger comprising a plurality of intellectual property (IP) data corresponding to a plurality of IP assets, wherein the plurality of IP assets comprises an aggregate stack of IP; tokenize the plurality of IP data; interpret a distributed ledger operation corresponding to at least one of the plurality of IP assets; determine an analytic result value in response to the distributed ledger operation and the tokenized plurality of IP data, wherein the analytic result value corresponds to access events for the at least one of the plurality of IP assets; provide a report of the analytic result value; and record a transaction on the distributed ledger in response to providing the report.
19. The system of claim 18, wherein the controller is further configured to restrict elements associated with the report based at least in part on a target entity for the report.
20. The system of claim 19, wherein the restricted elements include at least one of information within the report or a type of report available.
