Abstract

Disclosed herein is a garment. The garment may include a top half garment configured to be worn on an upper body of a human body, wherein the top half garment comprises a torso portion. Further, the garment may include a bottom half garment configured to be worn on a lower body of the human body. Further, the bottom half garment may include a waist portion. Further, the garment may include at least one attachment coupled with the at least one top half garment and the bottom half garment. Further, the at least one attachment may be configured for attaching a top interior surface of the top half garment to the bottom half garment. Further, the attaching may be configured for covering the waist portion with the torso portion.

[0001] The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 62/848,382 filed on May 15, 2019.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Generally, the present disclosure relates to the field of apparel. More specifically, the present invention relates to a garment with multiple reconfigurable components.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] Medical scrubs are standard clothing for medical personnel and usually comprise a top and a pair of pants. While variations in design are common most medical scrub pants are bound to the user's waist via elastic bands or drawstrings, as such it is not uncommon for the pants to fall off or slide off if the user fails to tighten the cord tight enough. If the user ties the drawstring too tight, it creates discomforts in the waist area, therefore the strings needs constant readjustment. Compared to the drawstring, elastic bands tend to lose elasticity and become less secure over time. Having the pants slide off or be pulled down by the patient during patient care accidentally, during a shift is both frustrating and embarrassing for any medical personnel, which can also expose the human body to direct foreign bacteria. These situations add annoyance and pressure to the already stressed medical environment with the added loss of personal dignity.

[0004] Therefore, there is a need for an improved garment that may overcome one or more of the above-mentioned problems and/or limitations.

[0038] According to some embodiments, the disclosure relates to apparel. More specifically, the disclosure relates a set of medical scrubs that combines the top and pants into a one-piece medical scrub and saving the user from the frustrating and embarrassing possibility of their pants accidentally falling off during work, being pulled down by the patient during patient care accidentally, sometimes intentionally by mentally ill or brain-injured patients or by being snagged during transitions.

[0039] According to some embodiments, the present disclosure relates to a one-piece medical scrubs, which is designed to resemble a conventional two-piece medical scrub. The one-piece medical scrub does not slide down from the user's body to expose human parts during patient care or when the human body is transitioning in various positions. The disclosed medical scrubs appear to be as professional as any two-piece medical scrubs but can save the user from the embarrassment and loss of dignity of having pants slide off or be pulled off. Further, the disclosed medical scrubs provide all the relevant equipment, such as pockets, and pen holders like any regular medical scrubs. Further, the present disclosure does not require, but it is allowed for the user to untie and retie any drawstring when the user needs to use the restroom, nor does the user need to pull the pants up and down to use the restroom, due to the unit being one-piece. Further, the present disclosure relates to a one-piece medical scrub, which can prevent pants of the medical scrubs from sliding off or falling off by accident.

[0071] The garment 800 may include a first half 802, a second half 804, and an attachment (not shown). The first half 802, which the user wears as a top, further may include one or more of a collar 816, a first sleeve 806, a second sleeve 808, a plurality of pockets (including a pocket 810), a zipper and a torso region 818. The collar 816 may be V-neck, rounded collar, or other types of collars appears on the medical personnel. Numerous designs are possible for the plurality of sleeves, including but not limited to long sleeves and short sleeves. The plurality of sleeves (the first sleeve 806 and the second sleeve 808) may extend from the torso region 818 of the garment 800. Further, the plurality of sleeves may include a plurality of straps and an attachment mechanism. The plurality of straps may be positioned on the first sleeve 806 and may be configured to hold the user's personal items. For example, the attachment mechanism may include a strap and a button. However, the present disclosure is not limited to these options and other methods may be used including adhesive pads, hooks, or rings. Further, the strap may include a first end and a second end. The first end may be positioned adjacent to the opening of the first sleeve 806. Further, the second end may include an opening and may be configured to allow the user to attach the second end to the button, which is positioned on a region adjacent to the shoulder, away from the opening of the sleeve. The attachment mechanism allows the user to keep the sleeves retracted when the plurality of sleeves is rolled up. In the present disclosure, the user may roll up the first sleeve 806, then pull out the strap and attach the opening of the second end to the button to prevent the first sleeve 806 from falling back to the unrolled position.

[0072] Further, the second sleeve 808 may include a plurality of straps and an attachment mechanism. The plurality of straps may be positioned on the second sleeve 808 and may be configured to hold pens or other writing instruments. In the present disclosure, the attachment mechanism may include a strap and a button, but future embodiments may include different mechanisms, similar to the components mentioned above. Further, the strap may include a first end and a second end. The first end is positioned near the opening of the second sleeve 808. Further, the second end may include an opening and configured to allow the user to attach the second end to the button, which is positioned on a region closer to the shoulder, away from the opening of the sleeve. In reference to FIG. 8, the attachment mechanism may be configured to keep the sleeves retracted in the rolled-up position. Accordingly, the user may roll up the second sleeve 808, then pull out the strap and attach the second opening end to the button to prevent the second sleeve 808 from falling back to the unrolled position.

[0073] The torso region 818 may be positioned between the first sleeve 806 and the second sleeve 808. The torso region 818 may be connected to the attachment on one side and connected to the collar 816 on the opposite side. The plurality of pockets may be integrated into the torso region 818 of the first half 802. In the present embodiment, one pocket 810 is positioned near the upper region of the user. Further, two or more pockets may be positioned closer to the second lower half. Future embodiments may involve a different number of pockets in different positions. Further, the zipper may be positioned on the front or the back of the torso region 818 and configured to allow the user to unzip an opening from the collar 816 to the direction of the second half 804. Further, the zipper may include a cover, which is configured to shield the zipper after the user pulls the zipper to a fully zipped position. When the user wears the garment 800, the user may undo the zipper to reveal an opening, then step into the first half 802, introduce both legs into the second half 804, then introduce both arms into the first and second sleeves 806-808 of the first half 802, pull the zipper to a fully zipped positioned, and cover the zipper with the cover. In an alternative embodiment, instead of using a zipper, the first half 802 may include a plurality of buttons to open and close the first half 802. Moreover, elastic material may be used around the plurality of buttons to facilitate the opening of the first half 802 and allow the user to open the first half wider. The plurality of buttons may also include a cover to cover up the buttons the same way the zipper is covered.

[0074] Further, the attachment may be positioned between the first half 802 and the second half 804. In the present disclosure, the attachment may be made of mesh-like type of material to connect the inside of the first half 802 to the second half 804 and allow the torso region 818 of the first half 802 to cover part of the waist region 820 of the second half 804. Various types of connecting materials may be used for future embodiments. In an alternative embodiment, the attachment may include a zipper to integrate the first half 802 and the second half 804. The zipper allows the user to separate the first half 802 from the second half 804. Therefore, in the event the one of the two components get damaged or soiled, each half can be individually replaced.

[0075] The second half 804 may include a first leg sleeve 812, a second leg sleeve 814, a plurality of pockets, a waist region 820, and a second zipper. The waist region 820 may be positioned between the attachment and the first and second leg sleeves. The first leg sleeve 812 and the second leg sleeve 814 may extend from the waist region 820 of the second half 804 to cover the legs of the user. Claims

1. A garment comprising: a top half garment configured to be worn on an upper body of a human body, wherein the top half garment comprises a torso portion; a bottom half garment configured to be worn on a lower body of the human body, wherein the bottom half garment comprises a waist portion; and at least one attachment coupled with the at least one top half garment and the bottom half garment, wherein the at least one attachment is configured for attaching a top interior surface of the top half garment to the bottom half garment, wherein the attaching is configured for covering the waist portion with the torso portion.

2. The garment of claim 1, wherein the torso portion is movable between a rest state corresponding to the torso portion juxtaposed with the waist portion and a lift state corresponding to a lower part of the torso portion displaced away from the waist portion, wherein in the rest state, the lower part of the torso portion is configured to cover the waist portion.

3. The garment of claim 1, wherein the torso portion comprises a neck cutaway disposed on a first torso end of the torso portion forming a neck opening, wherein the neck cutaway is associated with at least one shape forming a collar.

4. The garment of claim 1, wherein at least one of the top half garment and the bottom half garment comprises at least one slit disposed on at least one of the torso portion and the waist portion, wherein the at least one slit allows access to an interior space of the top half garment and the bottom half garment for wearing the top half garment on the upper body and the bottom half garment on the lower body.

5. The garment of claim 4, wherein at least one of the top half garment and the bottom half garment comprises at least one fastener disposed of proximal to the at least one slit, wherein the at least one fastener is associated with a fastened state and an unfastened state, wherein the at least one fastener allows access to the interior space of the top half garment and the bottom half garment through the at least one slit in the unfastened state, wherein the at least one fastener does not allow access to the interior space of the top half garment and the bottom half garment through the at least one slit in the fastened state.

The garment of claim 1, wherein the top half garment comprises a plurality of sleeves, wherein the plurality of sleeves comprises a first sleeve and a second sleeve, wherein the first sleeve is attached to a first side end of the torso portion and the second sleeve is attached to a second side end to the torso portion, wherein the first side end opposes the second side end.

7. The garment of claim 6, wherein a sleeve of the plurality of sleeves comprises a plurality of straps, wherein the plurality of straps is disposed on an outer sleeve surface of the sleeve, wherein the plurality of straps is configured for holding at least one object to the sleeve.

8. The garment of claim 6, wherein a sleeve of the plurality of sleeves comprises a first sleeve end and a second sleeve end, wherein the first sleeve end is attached to the torso portion and the second sleeve end extends over an arm of the human body to a second end position in relation to the first sleeve end, wherein the second end position is at least one arm length from the first sleeve end.

9. The garment of claim 8, wherein the sleeve is retractable from the second end position to a retracted position, wherein the retracted position is at least one arm length from the first sleeve end.

10. The garment of claim 9, wherein the sleeve comprises an attachment mechanism disposed on the sleeve, wherein the attachment mechanism comprises a first mechanism part and a second mechanism part, wherein the first mechanism part is disposed on the sleeve between the first sleeve end and the second sleeve end, wherein the second mechanism part is disposed on the second sleeve end, wherein the first mechanism part is detachably attachable with the second mechanism part for releasably holding the second sleeve end at the retracted position.

11. The garment of claim 1, wherein the bottom half garment comprises a plurality of leg sleeves disposed on a second waist end of the waist portion, wherein the plurality of leg sleeves comprises a first leg sleeve and a second leg sleeve, wherein the plurality of leg sleeves covers legs of the human body.

12. The garment of claim 1 further comprising at least one mask coupled to the top half garment, wherein the at least one mask comprises a fixed periphery and a free periphery, wherein the at least one mask is attached to a first torso end of the torso portion, wherein the at least one mask is extendable over at least one part of a head of the human body covering at least one part of a face associated with the head, wherein the at least one mask is a respirator.

13. The garment of claim 1, wherein the at least one attachment is configured for detachably attaching the interior surface of the top half garment to the bottom half garment.

14. The garment of claim 1, wherein the at least one attachment is configured for attaching at least one part of the interior surface of the top half garment to the bottom half garment for forming at least one closable opening along a waist periphery of the waist portion, wherein the at least one closable opening is transferable between a closed state and an open state based on at least one relative movement of the lower body with respect to the upper body, wherein the torso portion is configured for covering the at least one closable opening in the closed state and the open state.

15. The garment of claim 14, wherein the at least one relative movement comprises a first relative movement and a second relative movement, wherein the first relative movement is opposite to the second relative movement, wherein the first relative movement transitions the at least one closable opening from the closed state to the open state and the second relative movement transitions the at least one closable opening from the open state to the close state.

16. The garment of claim 14 further comprising at least one garment fastener disposed on at least one of the top half garment and the bottom half garment proximal to the at least one closable opening, wherein the at least one garment fastener is associated with a fastened state and an unfastened state, wherein the at least one garment fastener allows transitioning of the at least one closable opening between the closed state and the open state in the unfastened state, wherein the at least one garment fastener does not allow transitioning of the at least one closable opening between the closed state and the open state in the fastened state.

17. The garment of claim 1, wherein the top half garment comprises a plurality of torso pockets configured for holding at least one object to the top half garment, wherein the plurality of torso pockets is disposed on an outer torso surface of the torso portion, wherein the plurality of torso pockets comprises at least one first torso pocket and at least one second torso pocket, wherein the at least first torso pocket is disposed on the outer torso surface proximal to a first torso end of the torso portion, wherein the at least one second torso pocket is disposed on the outer torso surface proximal to a second torso end of the torso portion.

18. The garment of claim 1, wherein the bottom half garment comprises a plurality of waist pockets configured for holding at least one object to the bottom half garment, wherein the plurality of waist pockets is disposed on an outer waist surface of the waist portion, wherein the plurality of waist pockets comprises at least one first waist pocket and at least one second waist pocket, wherein the at least first waist pocket is disposed on a front surface of the outer waist surface, wherein the at least one second waist pocket is disposed on a rear surface of the outer waist surface.

The garment of claim 1, wherein the at least one attachment comprises a mesh material, wherein a first mesh end of the mesh material is attached to the top interior surface and a second mesh end of the mesh material is attached to a bottom interior surface of the bottom half garment for the attaching of the top interior surface to the bottom half garment.

20. A garment comprising: a top half garment configured to be worn on an upper body of a human body, wherein the top half garment comprises a torso portion; a bottom half garment configured to be worn on a lower body of the human body, wherein the bottom half garment comprises a waist portion; and at least one attachment coupled with at least one of the top half garment and the bottom half garment, wherein the at least one attachment is configured for attaching a top interior surface of the top half garment to the bottom half garment, wherein the at least one attachment comprises a mesh material, wherein a first mesh end of the mesh material is attached to the top interior surface and a second mesh end of the mesh material is attached to a bottom interior surface of the bottom half garment for the attaching of the top interior surface to the bottom half garment, wherein the attaching is configured for covering the waist portion with the torso portion.
