Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
[0001] This invention pertains to container packaging. It relates more particularly, but not specifically, to containers for cosmetics and personal care product packaging.
2. Description of the Related Art
[0002] Nowadays, the market for personal care products and cosmetics is more saturated than it has ever been. It seems like every day there is a new brand with a new idea about how to become or remain beautiful. Consumers, mostly women, are on a journey of exploration. The competition forces producers to become more creative every day. Consumers are looking for more than just a beauty product, they are looking for the next visually appealing, distinctive, signature brand on the market. This stimulates entrepreneurship in the beauty industry and in all consumer categories. And although the current containers seem to be innovative, such is not the case with respect to the caps of the containers. Mid-sized and large brands still limit their creativity within changing the shape, gloss finish and color of their products caps.
[0003] Besides keeping up with the advanced packaging, it seems that young and even established brands need to focus on locally-made, artisanal, natural, and clean products. Consumers are seeking information on the origin of the ingredients. They are drawn to "eco-friendly" products and allured by everything in its organic state. Concentrating on the natural while trying to be authentic is a challenging task, even for leading brands.
[0004] Therefore, what is clearly needed is a more visually appealing container cap that allows consumers to experience product packaging in a more engaging way.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] In one embodiment of the invention, a tillable container cap is provided, comprising a cap with an intermediate wall and a snap on top plate. The cap with an intermediate wall is provided, comprising a cap body, having an open bottom and an open top with a peripheral wall extending upwardly from the open bottom to the open top with an intermediate wall affixed to the peripheral wall of the cap body. The top plate is positioned on the open top and upper share of the peripheral wall to form unitary compartment between the intermediate wall and the top plate for receiving and housing content enclosed in the cap. Also, in one embodiment the peripheral wall is connected to the intermediate wall, so the intermediate wall forms a base for the unitary compartment for receiving and housing content. Also, in one embodiment, the cap body, intermediate wall and top plate are transparent.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
[0006] FIG. 1 is a plan view of a fillable container cap with an intermediate wall and a snap on top plate as seen from the top and bottom according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0007] FIG. 2 is an elevation view of a fillable container cap with an intermediate wall and a snap on top plate as seen from the front, rear, left and right sides according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0008] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a fillable container cap with an intermediate wall and a snap on top plate according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0009] FIG. 4 is a sectional view of a fillable container cap with an intermediate wall and a snap on top plate according to an embodiment of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0010] The inventor provides a fillable container cap with an intermediate wall and a snap on top plate. The present invention is described in enabling detail in the following examples, which may represent more than one embodiment of the present invention.
[0011] FIG. 1 is a plan view of a fillable container cap 100 with an intermediate wall 101 and a snap on top plate 102 as seen from the top and bottom according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fillable container cap 100 in this example is a transparent cap produced commercially for the cosmetic market.
[0012] FIG. 2 is an elevation view of the fillable container cap with the intermediate wall and the snap on top plate as seen from the front, rear, left and right sides according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this example intermediate wall 101 is sealed to a container wall 200 to create an intermediate compartment 201 that allows content to be stored. Snap on top plate 102 has an external flange 203 that allows the top plate to snap on the container by clipping the external flange to an internal ridge 204. That allows the intermediate compartment to be fully isolated and the content in the intermediate compartment completely secured. In this example, fillable container cap 100 has threads 205 as a method of placing the fillable container cap on any suitable container and closing it (container not shown). FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 are a perspective and a sectional view, respectively, of fillable container cap 100 with intermediate wall 101 and snap on top plate 102 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The embodiments include components previously introduced that have not changed in this example, retain original numbers and are not reintroduced. In this example the fillable container cap is transparent and cylindrical, so the perspective view in FIG. 3 is the same from all 360-degree angles.
[0013] It will be apparent to one with skill in the art that the fillable container cap of the invention may be provided using some or all of the mentioned features and components without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. It will also be apparent to the skilled artisan that the embodiments described above are specific examples of a single broader invention, which may have greater scope than any of the singular descriptions taught. There may be many alterations made in the description without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
