Abstract:
A patient progress system allows for all those involved in the treatment,
diagnoses, remedy and suffering of a disease to collect information
related to it. The patient or caregiver login to a software platform and
contribute data. The data could be observations, measurements, test
results, treatment plans and the like. The data is made available to
those participating in the treatment of the disease. Other tools are
included to improve the use of the data to identified trends or plan
treatments.Claims:
1. A patient progress system comprising: a plurality of personal
computing devices in communication with a software platform via network;
the software platform including: data manipulation tools; display
interface; data recall methods; and artificial intelligence engine;
wherein the personal computing devices enable the software platform; and
wherein data related to a disease, its treatment and the results thereof
are captured in the software platform.
2. A method of collecting and using data treat a disease, comprising: contributing data; storing data; analyzing the data; identifying trends in the treatment of the patient; and altering the treatment.

BACKGROUND
1. Field of the Invention
[0001] The present invention relates generally to healthcare systems, and more specifically, to a patient progress system for facilitating the capture and interrogation of data related to events and treatments of a person.
2. Description of Related Art
[0002] Healthcare systems are well known in the art and are effective means to improve or remedy the situation of a person relating to their wellbeing. For example, patients visit medical professionals such as doctors or therapists to receive treatment from illness or injury. Records of these visits and treatments are commonly retained by the doctors for their reference. In cases of chronic or complex illness or injury, treatment may be prolonged and involved. In these cases, several doctors or other professionals collaborate on the treatment. This creates the possibility of confusion as each professional keeps and maintains separate records. Additionally, the data or records collected are subjective to the person recording the data.
[0003] Accordingly, although great strides have been made in the area of healthcare systems, many shortcomings remain.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0010] Illustrative embodiments of the system and method of use of the present application are provided below. It will of course be appreciated that in the development of any actual embodiment, numerous implementation-specific decisions will be made to achieve the developer's specific goals, such as compliance with system-related and business-related constraints, which will vary from one implementation to another. Moreover, it will be appreciated that such a development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine undertaking for those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of this disclosure.
[0011] The system and method of use in accordance with the present application overcomes one or more of the above-discussed problems commonly associated with conventional healthcare systems. Specifically, the invention of the present application allows for the data of a single patient to be collected and stored in a single location. In addition, the input or observations of the patient are considered and applied to the data generated by the medical professionals. These and other unique features of the system and method of use are discussed below and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

Several embodiments of the system are presented herein. [0014] Referring now to the drawings wherein like reference characters identify corresponding or similar elements throughout the several views, FIG. 1 depicts a diagram of a patient progress system in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present application. It will be appreciated that system 101 overcomes one or more of the above-listed problems commonly associated with conventional healthcare systems.
[0015] In the contemplated embodiment, system 101 includes personal computing devices 103 in communication with a software platform 109 via network 107. Data relating to a patient 105 is entered via the software platform 109. The software platform 109 is active on a server 111 or the like. Contributors 113 use a personal computing device to enter data about the patient 105 in the software platform 109.
[0016] Referring now to FIG. 2 the software platform 109 is depicted. The platform 109 includes data manipulation tools 201, display interface 203, data recall methods 205 and an artificial intelligence engine 207.
[0017] In use, the patient 105 or contributor 113 generates information that is transmitted and stored in the software platform 109. The data is manipulated or otherwise interrogated to assist in the treatment of the patient.
[0018] It should be appreciated that one of the unique features believed characteristic of the present application is that both the patient 105 and medical professionals are contributors 113 to software platform 109.
[0019] Referring now to FIG. 3 the interaction 301 of the personal computing 103 device with the software platform 109 is depicted. The personal computing device 103 includes a CPU 309 in communication with the software platform 109 via a mobile transmitter 311. The CPU 309 also communicates or interacts with memory 303, storage 305, input/output devices 307 and a power source 313.
[0020] A method of collecting and using data to treat a disease is depicted by FIG. 4. While it is contemplated that patients with cancer or other serious conditions would be users of the system 101 it is contemplated that the system 101 could be used in the treatment of any condition. Method 401 includes, contributing data 403, storing data 405, analyzing the data 407, identifying trends in the treatment of the patient 409 and altering the treatment 411.
