Abstract:

A dual function stationary bike comprising a central body, a shift mechanism, a bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism and a screen adjustment mechanism is provided. The components of the central body include those that are coordinated to comply with the purpose of a stationary bike: the base components, the handlebar components, the seat components, the pedals components and the resistance assembly. The shift mechanism is installed between the components of the base and of the handlebar, regulates and fixes the relative position between the components of the handlebar and of the base to carry out the two different functions of the stationary bike.

Claims:

1. A dual function stationary bike comprising: central body components, a shift mechanism, a bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism and a screen adjustment mechanism, wherein the central body components include the base components, the handlebar components, the seat components, the pedals components and the resistance assembly; wherein the shift mechanism is located between the base components and the handlebar components, and regulates and fixes the relative position between the handlebar and the base components to carry out two different functions of the stationary bike; wherein the shift mechanism includes: a first elliptical plate fixed in the front tube of the base components, a second elliptical plate fixed in the rear tube of the base components, and a third elliptical plate fixed in the handlebar bar of the handlebar components; wherein the front tube, the rear tube and the handlebar bar are articulated with a pin to guarantee that the three elliptical plates coaxially rotate over an articulation point; wherein in the first elliptical plate there is a first positioning hole, in the second elliptical plate there is a second positioning hole and the third elliptical plate has a strap spring pin in which said pin coordinates with the first and second positioning holes respectively to fix the position and perform the function shift.

The dual function stationary bike of claim 1, wherein the bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism is installed in the upper part of the handlebar bar, including the central body of the adjustment mechanism, and in which said adjustment device coordinates with the resistance assembly to regulate the resistance, wherein the adjustment mechanism has a coaxial bar that protrudes the two ends of the main body, with each end of said bar having a knob, wherein turning each of the knobs can activate the rotation of the coaxial bar and the coordination between the adjustment device and the resistance assembly to reach the purpose of regulating the resistance.

The dual function stationary bike of claim 1, wherein a described screen adjustment mechanism is installed in the cross bar of the handlebar components, and includes a central body of the screen that rotates over the rotation axis and has a position stop, wherein the rotation axis has a protruding point to limit the position, with the position stop and the protruding point being coordinated to guarantee that the central body of the screen can only rotate 180.degree. over the rotation axis, wherein there is a fixation slot in the central body of the panel and a fixation point in the rotation axis, with both coordinated to carry out the temporary fixation of the central body of the panel.

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002] The present utility model refers to a type of fitness equipment, in particular to a type of dual function fitness equipment.

PRIOR ART

[0003] In the field of fitness equipment, stationary bikes are widely used due to their simple and easy to use structure. The existing stationary bikes are divided into vertical and with back support, among others. However, they usually have a sole function, that is, that the user sits in the seat, with his hands on the handlebars and his/her feet in the pedals, simulating the movement of riding a bicycle with a sole function or with some additional functions. For example, some stationary bikes have additional handles that may help to exercise the arms. However, their defect is the sameness of the basic frame of the stationary bike and the possibility of adding a few additional functions, without modifying the general function. Therefore, it is impossible to satisfy more needs.

CONTENT OF THE UTILITY MODEL

[0004] Regarding the problem mentioned in the existing art, this utility model has as purpose to offer a dual function stationary bike, with a simple and easy to regulate structure, that can perform the two functions of horizontal and vertical stationary bike.

[0005] For the purposes of reaching the mentioned purpose, this utility model adopts the following technical solution:

[0006] This dual function stationary bike includes the following that coordinate: the central body components, the shift mechanism, the bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism and screen adjustment mechanism. Among them, the central body components include those that coordinate to comply with the stationary bike function: the base components, the handlebar components, the seat components, the pedals components and the resistance assembly. The mentioned shift mechanism is located between the base components and the handlebar components, and regulates and fixes the relative position between the handlebar and the base components to carry out the two different functions of the stationary bike. The shift mechanism includes: elliptical plate 1 fixed in the front tube of the base components, elliptical plate 2 fixed in the rear tube of the base components and elliptical plate 3 fixed in the handlebar bar of the handlebar components. The front tube, the rear tube and the handlebar bar are articulated with a pin to guarantee that the elliptical plates 1, 2 and 3 coaxially rotate over the articulation point. In the elliptical plate 1 there is a positioning hole 1; in the elliptical plate 2, the positioning hole 2, and the elliptical plate 3 has a strap spring pin, which pin coordinates with the positioning holes 1 and 2 respectively to fix the position and perform the function shift.

[0007] Furthermore, the bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism is installed in the upper part of the handlebar bar; and includes the central body of the adjustment mechanism, which adjustment device coordinates with the resistance assembly to regulate the resistance. The adjustment device has a coaxial bar that protrudes the two ends of the main body. Each end of said bar has a knob. Turning each of them can activate the rotation of the coaxial bar and the coordination between the adjustment device and the resistance assembly to reach the purpose of regulating the resistance.

[0008] Furthermore, the described screen adjustment mechanism is installed in the cross bar of the handlebar components, and includes: the central body of the panel that rotates over the rotation axis and has a position stop. The rotation axis has a protruding point to limit the position. The position stop and the protruding point to limit the position are coordinated to guarantee that the central body of the panel can only rotate 180.degree. over the rotation axis. On the other hand, there is a fixation slot in the central body of the panel and a fixation point in the rotation axis. Both are coordinated to carry out the temporary fixation of the central body of the panel.

[0009] When adopting the above mentioned technical solution, this utility model works as an ordinary horizontal stationary bike in its normal operation and, through the shift mechanism, the user can rotate it and fix the handlebar mechanisms to fix the angle and transform it into a vertical stationary bike. The user exercises from the other direction placing the feet in the pedals and the hands in the handles. In this manner, the shift is performed free of the two functions, with a simple and easy to regulate structure.

[0010] On the other hand, in order to coordinate with the bidirectional use function, this utility model also includes an adjustment mechanism of bidirectional resistance, easy to use, that is installed in the upper part of the handlebar bar to guarantee that the user can regulate the resistance in both directions. Furthermore, in the cross bar of the components of the handlebar, the screen adjustment mechanisms is installed to guarantee that the user, when exercising sitting or vertically, can rotate the panel at any time to perform the adjustment of 180.degree. and read the data in the screen in both sides.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0019] Hereunder, the utility model with the drawings and embodiments are described in detail.

[0020] FIGS. 1-7 show the embodiment in this utility model, dual function stationary bike, that includes the following that coordinate: the components of the central body 1, the shift mechanism 2, the bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism 3, the screen adjustment mechanism 4; among them, the components of the central body 1 include those that are coordinated to comply with the stationary bike function: the base components 11, the handlebar components 12, the seat components 13, the resistance assembly 14 and the pedals components 15. The shift mechanisms 2 is installed between the base components 11 and the handlebar components 12 and regulates and fixes the relative position between the handlebar components 12 and those of the base 11 to perform the two different functions of the stationary bike. The shift mechanism 2 includes: elliptical plate 1 1111 fixed in the front tube 111 of the base components 11, elliptical plate 2 1121 fixed in the rear tube 112 of the base components 11 and elliptical plate 3 1211 fixed in the handlebar bar 121 of the handlebar components 12. The front tube 111, the rear tube 112 and the handlebar bar 121 are articulated with a pin to guarantee that the elliptical plates 1 1111, 2 1121 and 3 1211 coaxially rotate over the articulation point. In the elliptical plate 1 1111 there is a positioning hole 1 11111; in the elliptical plate 2 1121, the positioning hole 2 11211; and the elliptical plate 3 1211 has a strap spring pin 12111, which pin coordinates with the positioning holes 1 11111 and 2 11211 respectively to fix the position and carry out the function shift.

[0021] The described bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism 3 is installed in the upper part of the handlebar bar 121; it includes the central body of the adjustment mechanism 31, which adjustment device 32 coordinates with the resistance assembly 14 to regulate the resistance. The adjustment device 32 has a coaxial bar 33 that protrudes the two ends of the main body 31. Each end of said bar 33 has a knob 34. When turning each of them, 34 can activate the rotation of the coaxial bar 34 and the coordination between the adjustment device 32 and the resistance assembly 14 to reach the purpose of regulating the resistance.

[0022] The described screen adjustment mechanism 4 is installed in the cross bar 122 of the handlebar components 12, including: the central body of the panel 41, which rotates over the rotation axis 42 and has a position stop 411. The rotation 42 has a protruding point to limit the position 421. The position stop 411 and the protruding point to limit the position 421 are coordinated to guarantee that the central body of the panel 41 can only rotate 180.degree. over the rotation axis 42. On the other hand, there is a fixation slot 412 in the central body of the panel 41 and a fixation point 422 in the rotation axis 42. Both are coordinated to make the temporary fixation of the central body of the panel 41.

[0023] During its use, this utility model works as an ordinary horizontal stationary bike in its normal operation. The user exercises while seated in the seat holding the handles. If he wants to shift to the vertical stationary bike function, the spring pin is elevated; the handlebar components are moved to perform the coaxial rotation through the articulation point of the plates 1, 2 and 3. The spring pin makes the movement along the elliptical plate until automatically finding the positioning hole in the front tube and fixes the position. Through the shift mechanism, the components of the handlebar can rotate and fix their angle to transform into vertical stationery bike.

[0024] The user can exercise placing the feet in the pedals and the hands in the handles from the other direction. This way the shift is reached free of the two functions, with a simple and easy to regulate structure.

[0025] In order to coordinate the bidirectional use function, this utility model also includes a bidirectional resistance adjustment mechanism that is installed in the upper part of the handlebar bar to guarantee that the user can easily regulate the resistance in both directions. Furthermore, in the cross bar of the handlebar components the screen adjustment mechanisms is installed to guarantee that the user, when exercising either sitting or vertically, can rotate the panel at any time to carry out an adjustment of 180.degree. and read the data in the screen at both sides.
