Abstract:

Methods and systems for a monitoring system for data collection in an industrial environment including a data collector communicatively coupled to a plurality of input channels connected to data collection points operationally coupled to an industrial component in at least one of an oil processing system or gas processing system; a data storage structured to store a plurality of stored process condition states; a data acquisition circuit structured to interpret a plurality of detection values from the collected data; an expert system detection circuit structured to detect a process condition in response to the plurality of detection values, wherein the expert system detection circuit generates a process condition notification if a process condition is detected that matches one of the plurality of stored process condition states; and a response circuit structured to provide an alert in response to the process condition notification.

A monitoring system for data collection in an industrial environment, the system comprising: a data collector communicatively coupled to a plurality of input channels connected to data collection points operationally coupled to at least one industrial component in at least one of an oil processing system or gas processing system; a data storage structured to store a plurality of stored process condition states for the at least one industrial component; a data acquisition circuit structured to interpret a plurality of detection values from the collected data, each of the plurality of detection values corresponding to at least one of the plurality of input channels; an expert system detection circuit structured to detect a process condition associated with the at least one industrial component in response to the plurality of detection values, wherein the expert system detection circuit generates a process condition notification if a process condition is detected that matches one of the plurality of stored process condition states; and a response circuit structured to provide an alert in response to the process condition notification.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the response circuit is further structured to adjust an operating parameter of the at least one industrial component in response to the process condition notification.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the response circuit is further structured to adjust a process parameter of the at least one industrial component in response to the process condition notification.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein expert system detection circuit utilizes a neural network expert system to detect the process condition.

5. The system of claim 4, wherein the neural network expert system performs a pattern recognition to detect the process condition.

6. The system of claim 4, wherein the neural network expert system performs a system classification to detect the process condition.

7. The system of claim 4, wherein the neural network expert system performs an optimization process in response to the process condition detection.

8. A computer-implemented method for data collection in an industrial environment, the method comprising: collecting data from a plurality of input channels communicatively coupled to a data collector, wherein the plurality of input channels is connected to data collection points operationally coupled to at least one industrial component in at least one of an oil processing system or gas processing system; storing in a data storage a plurality of stored process condition states for the at least one industrial component; interpreting a plurality of detection values from the collected data with a data acquisition circuit, each of the plurality of detection values corresponding to at least one of the plurality of input channels; analyzing the collected data with a data analysis circuit; detecting a process condition with an expert system detection circuit, wherein the process condition is associated with the at least one industrial component in response to the plurality of detection values, and generating a process condition notification if a process condition is detected that matches one of the plurality of stored process condition states; and providing an alert with a response circuit in response to the process condition notification.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising adjusting an operating parameter of the at least one industrial component in response to the process condition notification.

10. The method of claim 8, further comprising adjusting a process parameter of the at least one industrial component in response to the process condition notification.

11. The method of claim 8, wherein detecting a process condition with an expert system detection circuit utilizes a neural network expert system in detecting the process condition.
