Abstract:
A leg exercise assembly includes a panel that is laid on a horizontal
support surface. The panel has a prominence extending upwardly therefrom
and the prominence is selectively stood upon with toes thereby
facilitating calf raises to be performed. The prominence is selectively
stood upon with a heel thereby facilitating toe raises to be performed. A
plurality of hooks is coupled to and extends upwardly from the panel. A
pair of plates is provided and each of the plates is selectively
positioned on the prominence to adjust a height of the prominence. A pair
of straps is coupled to the panel and each of the straps engages the toes
when the prominence is stood upon with the heel. Each of the straps is
comprised of a resiliently stretchable material to exercise shin muscles
when the toe raises are performed.Claims:
1. A leg exercise assembly being configured to exercise shin muscles and
calf muscles on a leg, said assembly comprising: a panel being configured
to be laid on a horizontal support surface, said panel having a
prominence extending upwardly therefrom wherein said prominence is
configured to be selectively stood upon with toes extending outwardly
from said prominence thereby facilitating calf raises to be performed,
said prominence being configured to be stood upon with a heel thereby
facilitating toe raises to be performed; a plurality of hooks, each of
said hooks being coupled to and extending upwardly from said panel; a
pair of plates, each of said plates being selectively positioned on said
prominence to adjust a height of said prominence; a pair of straps, each
of said straps being coupled to said panel wherein each of said straps is
configured to engage the toes when said prominence is stood upon with the
heel, each of said straps being comprised of a resiliently stretchable
material wherein each of said straps is configured to exercise shin
muscles.

The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said panel has a first surface, a second surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a front side and a back side, said panel having a slot extending through each of said first and second surfaces to define a handle wherein said handle is configured to be gripped.
3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said prominence extends upwardly from said first surface, said prominence extending between said first and second lateral sides, said prominence being positioned closer to said back side than said front side.

The assembly according to claim 3, wherein said prominence has an exposed surface, said exposed surface having a pair of first wells extending toward said panel, said exposed surface having a pair of second wells extending toward said panel, each of said first wells being spaced from said second wells, each of said first wells being aligned with an associated one of said second wells.
5. The assembly according to claim 4, wherein each of said hooks comprises a leg and a foot, said leg corresponding to each of said hooks extending upwardly from said first surface having said foot corresponding to each of said hooks being spaced from said first surface.

The assembly according to claim 5, wherein said plurality of hooks includes a set of first hooks and a second of second hooks, said set of first hooks being spaced apart from each other and being positioned closer to said first lateral side than said second lateral side, said set of second hooks being spaced apart from each other and being positioned closer to said second lateral side than said first lateral side, said first set of hooks being aligned with said second set of hooks.

The assembly according to claim 1, wherein each of said plates has a bottom surface and a top surface, said top surface corresponding to each of said plates having a plurality of third wells extending toward said bottom surface, each of said plates having a plurality of pegs extending downwardly from said bottom surface.

The assembly according to claim 7, wherein: said prominence has a plurality of first wells; and said pair of plates includes a first plate and a second plate, each of said pegs corresponding to said first plate engaging an associated one of said third wells in said prominence when said first plate is positioned on said prominence to inhibit said first plate from sliding on said prominence, each of said pegs corresponding to said second plate engaging an associated one of said third wells in said first plate when said second plate is positioned on said first plate to inhibit said second plate from sliding on said first plate.

The assembly according to claim 1, wherein: said panel has a first surface, a back side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side; each of said straps has a primary end and a secondary end, said primary end corresponding to each of said straps being coupled to said first surface of said panel having each of said straps being positioned between said prominence and said back side of said panel, each of said straps being oriented collinear with each other such that each of said straps extends beyond an associated one of said first and second lateral sides of said panel.

The assembly according to claim 9, wherein each of said straps has a plurality of apertures extending therethrough, said apertures corresponding to each of said straps being spaced apart from each other and being distributed from said primary end toward said secondary end of said corresponding strap.

The assembly according to claim 10, wherein: said plurality of hooks includes a set of first hooks; and said pair of straps includes a first strap and a second strap, said first strap being manipulated having each of said first hooks engaging a selected pair of said apertures corresponding to said first strap such that said first strap forms an arch on said panel wherein said first strap is configured to extend over the toes, said second strap being manipulated having each of said second hooks engaging a selected pair of said apertures in said second strap such that said second strap forms an arch on said panel wherein said second strap is configured to extend over the toes.

A leg exercise assembly being configured to exercise shin muscles and calf muscles on a leg, said assembly comprising: a panel being configured to be laid on a horizontal support surface, said panel having a first surface, a second surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a front side and a back side, said panel having a slot extending through each of said first and second surfaces to define a handle wherein said handle is configured to be gripped, said panel having a prominence extending upwardly from said first surface wherein said prominence is configured to be selectively stood upon with toes extending outwardly from said prominence thereby facilitating calf raises to be performed, said prominence being configured to be stood upon with a heel thereby facilitating toe raises to be performed, said prominence extending between said first and second lateral sides, said prominence being positioned closer to said back side than said front side, said prominence having an exposed surface, said exposed surface having a pair of first wells extending toward said panel, said exposed surface having a pair of second wells extending toward said panel, each of said first wells being spaced from said second wells, each of said first wells being aligned with an associated one of said second wells; a plurality of hooks, each of said hooks being coupled to and extending upwardly from said first surface of said panel, each of said hooks being positioned between said prominence and said back side, each of said hooks comprising a leg and a foot, said leg corresponding to each of said hooks extending upwardly from said first surface having said foot corresponding to each of said hooks being spaced from said first surface, said plurality of hooks including a set of first hooks and a second of second hooks, said set of first hooks being spaced apart from each other and being positioned closer to said first lateral side than said second lateral side, said set of second hooks being spaced apart from each other and being positioned closer to said second lateral side than said first lateral side, said first set of hooks being aligned with said second set of hooks; a pair of plates, each of said plates being selectively positioned on said prominence to adjust a height of said prominence, each of said plates having a bottom surface and a top surface, said top surface corresponding to each of said plates having a plurality of third wells extending toward said bottom surface, each of said plates having a plurality of pegs extending downwardly from said bottom surface, said pair of plates including a first plate and a second plate, each of said pegs corresponding to said first plate engaging an associated one of said third wells in said prominence when said first plate is positioned on said prominence to inhibit said first plate from sliding on said prominence, each of said pegs corresponding to said second plate engaging an associated one of said third wells in said first plate when said second plate is positioned on said first plate to inhibit said second plate from sliding on said first plate; and a pair of straps, each of said straps being coupled to said panel wherein each of said straps is configured to engage the toes when said prominence is stood upon with the heel, each of said straps being comprised of a resiliently stretchable material wherein each of said straps is configured to exercise shin muscles, each of said straps having a primary end and a secondary end, said primary end corresponding to each of said straps being coupled to said first surface of said panel having each of said straps being positioned between said prominence and said back side of said panel, each of said straps being oriented collinear with each other such that each of said straps extends beyond an associated one of said first and second lateral sides of said panel, each of said straps having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough, said apertures corresponding to each of said straps being spaced apart from each other and being distributed from said primary end toward said secondary end of said corresponding strap, said pair of straps including a first strap and a second strap, said first strap being manipulated having each of said first hooks engaging a selected pair of said apertures corresponding to said first strap such that said first strap forms an arch on said panel wherein said first strap is configured to extend over the toes, said second strap being manipulated having each of said second hooks engaging a selected pair of said apertures in said second strap such that said second strap forms an arch on said panel wherein said second strap is configured to extend over the toes.

[0006] The disclosure and prior art relates to exercise devices and more particularly pertains to a new exercise device for exercising and stretching calf muscles and shin muscles.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a panel that is laid on a horizontal support surface. The panel has a prominence extending upwardly therefrom and the prominence is selectively stood upon with toes thereby facilitating calf raises to be performed. The prominence is selectively stood upon with a heel thereby facilitating toe raises to be performed. A plurality of hooks is coupled to and extends upwardly from the panel. A pair of plates is provided and each of the plates is selectively positioned on the prominence to adjust a height of the prominence. A pair of straps is coupled to the panel and each of the straps engages the toes when the prominence is stood upon with the heel. Each of the straps is comprised of a resiliently stretchable material to exercise shin muscles when the toe raises are performed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new exercise device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
[0017] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the leg exercise assembly 10 generally comprises a panel 12 that is selectively laid on a horizontal support surface 14. The horizontal support surface 14 may be a floor or the like. The panel 12 has a first surface 16, a second surface 18 and a peripheral edge 20 extending therebetween. The peripheral edge 20 has a first lateral side 22, a second lateral side 24, a front side 26 and a back side 28. Additionally, the panel 12 has a slot 30 extending through each of the first and second surface 18s to define a handle for gripping the panel 12.
[0018] The panel 12 has a prominence 32 extending upwardly from the first surface 16. The prominence 32 is selectively stood upon with toes 33 thereby facilitating calf raises to be performed. The prominence 32 is selectively stood upon with a heel 35 thereby facilitating toe raises to be performed. The prominence 32 extends between the first 22 and second 24 lateral sides and the prominence 32 is positioned closer to the back side 28 than the front side 26.
[0019] The prominence 32 has an exposed surface 34 and the exposed surface 34 has a pair of first wells 36 extending toward the panel 12. The exposed surface 34 has a pair of second wells 38 extending toward the panel 12 and each of the first wells 36 is spaced from the second wells 38. Each of the first wells 36 is aligned with an associated one of the second wells 38. The prominence 32 may have a height ranging between approximately 10.0 cm and 15.0 cm.
[0020] A plurality of hooks 40 is provided and each of the hooks 40 is coupled to and extends upwardly from the first surface 16 of the panel 12. Each of the hooks 40 is positioned between the prominence 32 and the back side 28. Each of the hooks 40 comprises a leg 42 and a foot 44. The leg 42 corresponding to each of the hooks 40 extends upwardly from the first surface 16 having the foot 44 corresponding to each of the hooks 40 is spaced from the first surface 16.
[0021] The plurality of hooks 40 includes a set of first hooks 46 and a second of second hooks 48. The set of first hooks 46 is spaced apart from each other and is positioned closer to the first lateral side 22 than the second lateral side 24. The set of second hooks 48 is spaced apart from each other and is positioned closer to the second lateral side 24 than the first lateral side 22. Additionally, the first set of hooks 40 is aligned with the second set of hooks 40.
[0022] A pair of plates 50 is provided and each of the plates 50 is selectively positioned on the prominence 32 to adjust a height of the prominence 32. Each of the plates 50 has a bottom surface 52 and a top surface 54. The top surface 54 corresponding to each of the plates 50 has a plurality of third wells 56 extending toward the bottom surface 52. Each of the plates 50 has a plurality of pegs 58 extending downwardly from the bottom surface 52. Each of the plates 50 may have a thickness ranging between approximately 2.0 cm and 5.0 cm.
[0023] The pair of plates 50 includes a first plate 60 and a second plate 62. Each of the pegs 58 corresponding to the first plate 60 engages an associated one of the third wells 56 in the prominence 32 when the first plate 60 is positioned on the prominence 32. In this way the first plate 60 is inhibited from sliding on the prominence 32. Each of the pegs 58 corresponding to the second plate 62 engaging an associated one of the second wells 38 in the first plate 60 when the second plate 62 is positioned on the first plate 60. Thus, the second plate 62 is inhibited from sliding on the first plate 60.
[0024] A pair of straps 64 is provided and each of the straps 64 is coupled to the panel 12. Each of the straps 64 engages the toes 33 when the prominence 32 is stood upon with the heel 35. Additionally, each of the straps 64 is comprised of a resiliently stretchable material. In this way each of the straps 64 exercises shin muscles when the toe raises are performed.
[0025] Each of the straps 64 has a primary end 66 and a secondary end 68 and the primary end 66 corresponding to each of the straps 64 is coupled to the first surface 16 of the panel 12. Each of the straps 64 is positioned between the prominence 32 and the back side 28 of the panel 12. Moreover, each of the straps 64 is oriented collinear with each other such that each of the straps 64 extends beyond an associated one of the first 22 and second 24 lateral sides of the panel 12.
[0026] Each of the straps 64 has a plurality of apertures 70 extending therethrough. The apertures 70 corresponding to each of the straps 64 is spaced apart from each other and is distributed from the primary end 66 toward the secondary end 68 of the corresponding strap 64. The pair of straps 64 includes a first strap 72 and a second strap 74. The first strap 72 is manipulated having each of the first hooks 46 engaging a selected pair of the apertures 70 corresponding to the first strap 72. In this way the first strap 72 forms an arch on the panel 12 to extend over the toes 33. The second strap 74 is manipulated having each of the second hooks 48 engaging a selected pair of the apertures 70 in the second strap 74. Thus, the second strap 74 forms an arch on the panel 12 to extend over the toes 33.
[0027] In use, the panel 12 is laid on the support surface and the prominence 32 is stood upon with the toes 33. Thus, calf raises can be performed to exercise calf muscles. The calf muscles are selectively stretched by standing on the panel 12 having the toes 33 being positioned in the prominence 32. The calf raises and calf stretches are performed to warm up for athletic activities or the like. Additionally, the calf raises and calf stretches are performed to treat a leg 42 injury or the like. Each of the first 60 and second 62 plates are selectively positioned on the prominence 32 to increase an intensity of the calf raises and stretches.
[0028] The first strap 72 is manipulated to position each of the first hooks 46 in the selected apertures 70. Thus, the first strap 72 forms an arch of a selected height and the toes 33 of a corresponding foot 44 are positioned beneath the first strap 72. The toes 33 are selectively raised and lowered to exercise the shin muscles. The second strap 74 is manipulated to position each of the second hooks 48 in the selected apertures 70. Thus, the second strap 74 forms an arch of a selected height and toes 33 of a corresponding foot 44 are positioned beneath the second strap 74. The toes 33 are selectively raised and lowered to exercise the shin muscles and to warm up the shin muscles prior to athletic activities. Additionally, the toes 33 raises are performed to treat symptoms of shin splints and other shin injuries. Each of the first 60 and second 62 plates are selectively positioned on the prominence 32 to increase an intensity of the toe raises.
[0029] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
