Abstract:

What is new in this invention is that by installing the TWIN DISHWASHERS, kitchens will never need to have a backlog of dirty dishes in plain view, or stacked in the sink. Dishes will always have a place to be out of sight, whether clean or dirty, with very little additional cost to the purchase of the two dishwashers that work in tandem.

Claims:

1. I claim that by sharing the motor and pump between two dishwashers I have created a cost effective way to solve the problem of no where to put dirty dishes and arguments about taking the dishes that are clean and putting them in the kitchen cabinets: I claim that this invention has applications in a family home, a mobile home, a boat, RVs, etc. anywhere where space needs to be optimized and relationships need to focus on keeping the peace and keeping the kitchen clean.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

[0001] This invention has been spurred by a lifetime of constant bickering of children assigned the job of loading and unloading the dishwasher. I am tired of the arguments and thought this would a cheap and easy way to keep dishes from piling up in the sink while others wait for the designated dish unloader to do their chore. I also hate that the job of moving in an RV requires the cleaning, drying, and storing of every last cup and dish, before being able to leave. If everything has a place, based on being clean or dirty there is order. I like order.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The purpose of this application is to manufacture one kitchen appliance composed of twin receptacles for dishes in two dishwashers, but with a shared motor and water pump, such that the loading and unloading of dishes to the kitchen cabinets will be ended. By having two dishwashers side by side, one receptacle can hold clean dishes with regular access, while the other can hold dirty dishes. This will alternate with each load washed. There is no more moving dishes to stack in the kitchen cabinets nor leaving dishes in the sink until the dishwasher has been unloaded.

[0003] The substantial cost of buying two separate machines will be greatly reduced by putting the pump and engine in the shared wall space between the two dishwashers. The control panel will allow the operator to select the right or left machine receptacle to run each time. Each machine will have its own spray arm, detergent loading, and extraction pipe (which "y" feeds behind to a singular drain pipe).

[0004] In terms of operation, all will be the same with the exception of the dial that chooses the right or left machine. One motor and one water pump service both dish receptacles. Each receptacle, will contain alternating clean and dirty dishes, with clean dishes being stored IN the dishwasher until empty. The machine with dirty dishes runs when full and then becomes the storage for the clean dishes. What was the clean stored dish holder, now becomes the dirty dish holder. One offshoot of this functional storage facility is the storage of dishes on mobile kitchens (boats, campers, RV's) where dishes, both clean and dirty will be given a designated spot in the dishwasher, rather than in cabinets that can shuffle during movement. Every dish will have a defined fitted storage spot in the racks, irregardless of if it is clean or dirty. No extra space will be taken up storing yet again in cabinets--just twin dishwashers side by side, sharing one motor and pump.

[0005] I pledge that TWIN DISHWASHERS is my invention and I can find no other in existence.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] Most homes, RVs, mobile homes, boats, etc. have one dishwasher--if they are lucky. Most people argue about who has to unload the clean dishes so the dirty dishes in the sink can be loaded. Dirty dishes are added till it is full. Then it will be run and become clean dishes that have to be unloaded into the kitchen cabinets. Argument time again. This invention stops this.

[0023] By having two dishwashers side by side, one can be the designated dirty dish holder, no longer being seen left in the sink. The other will hold the clean dishes till individually used up.

[0024] There will not be the added expense or sense of extravagance in having two dishwashers. The counter top (no. 1) will cover both machines. An enclosed center panel will hold the shared water pump (no. 6) and shared motor (no. 5). The functioning of each dishwasher's receptacle (no. 2 and no. 3) will be the same, but the space and water jet sprayers (no. 4 and no. 5) with be independent to each machine.

[0025] On the motor a switch that turns on either the left or the right machine to start washing, is on the motor (no 7).

[0026] There will be no need for arguing who will unload the dishwasher. It will provide storage for both dirty and clean dishes and at all times, creating neatness in the kitchen.
