DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0031] In the following paragraphs, some embodiments of the invention will be described by way of example and not limitation. It should be understood based on this disclosure that various other modifications can be made by those in the art based on these illustrated embodiments.

[0032] Hereinafter, embodiments of a spinning top toy of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0033] FIGS. 1 and 2 show a toy set which includes a spinning top toy 1 and a spinning top launching toy 60 according to the present embodiment.

[0034] In the toy set, the spinning top toy 1 is the spinning top toy which is capable of being used for, so called, battle games. For example, the spinning top toy 1 is used in battle games, and in such battle games, the spinning top toys 1 collide to each other, so that the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent is disassembled by the impact force as shown in FIG. 3.

[0035] The spinning top toy 1 is provided with a shaft part 10, a flywheel 30, and a body part 40 as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. In FIGS. 4 and 5, the spinning top toy 1 is shown with the half cross-sectional surface, but the other half of the spinning top toy 1, which is not shown, becomes a shaft symmetry with respect to a shaft center X. In this specification, the terms "top", "bottom", "left", "right", "front", and "back" refer to the corresponding directions in FIG. 5.

[0036] As shown in FIG. 5, the shaft part 10 is provided with a rotating shaft 11 in the bottom end part, a flange 12 in the vertical direction middle part, and a cylindrical body 13 in the top end part.

[0037] Among them, the flange 12 and the cylindrical body 13 are integrally formed. A column body 14 is provided in the shaft center of the cylindrical body 13. In the top end part of the column body 14, a hook 17 is formed in two sections at the front and the back of the column body 14 in a manner of stretching out to a radial direction outward. The column body 14 is fixedly provided in a shaft lower part 10a. The diameter of the shaft lower part 10a is reduced stepwise in a direction from the flange 12 side to the tip end of the rotating shaft 11, and it is formed in a substantially inverted conical shape as a whole. The shaft lower part 10a is fixed to the flange 12 by a screw, etc., which is not shown.

[0038] In the flange 12 and the cylindrical body 13, a hole 15 is formed in two sections at the front and the back across the flange 12 and the cylindrical body 13. Further, in the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 13, a projection part 16 is formed in two sections at the left and the right. The outer surface of each projection part 16 becomes flush with the outer peripheral surface of the flange 12.

[0039] A cylindrical shape of the shaft part 10 is provided with an urging member 18. The urging member 18 is provided in a manner of surrounding the column body 14 inside the cylindrical body 13. In the outer peripheral of the bottom end part of the urging member 18, a leg part 18a, which extends outward to a radial direction, is formed in two sections at the front and the back.

[0040] As shown in FIG. 5, the urging member 18 with such structure is installed in a manner in which each of the leg parts 18a is exposed from each of the holes 15. The holes 15 allow the movement of the leg parts 18a in the vertical direction, and however, the upper edge of the holes 15 restricts the movement in the upward direction. Further, the urging member 18 is energized in the upward direction by a spring 19, and in a normal condition, the upper end surface of the urging member 18 is positioned in a height approximately equal to the top end of the cylindrical body 13.

[0041] In the upper surface of the urging member 18, a protruding strip (projection) 20, which extends in the radial direction, is formed in two sections at the left and the right.

[0042] A flywheel 30 is formed in a ring shape. In the inner peripheral side of the bottom surface of the flywheel 30, an annular step part 30a is formed so as to be capable of accommodating the flange 12 of the shaft part 10 from a lower side. On the upper surface of the flywheel 30, a projection part 31, which protrudes in an upper direction, is formed in two sections at the left and the right. In the lower side part of each of the projection part 31, a recessed part 32 is formed so as to be capable of accommodating the projection part 16 of the shaft part 10. Further, on the upper surface of the flywheel 30, a tongue-piece part 33, which extends upward, is formed directly outside each of the projection parts 31. The tongue-piece part 33 is projected more upward than the projection part 31.

[0043] As shown in FIG. 6, the body part 40 is provided with a top plate 41, a lower plate 42, and a ring 43.

[0044] FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing the top plate 41 when viewed from the lower side. In the center of the top plate 41, a circular shaped hole 41a is formed. Further, in the lower side of the top plate 41, an inner side annual wall 41b in which the inner diameter is the same size as the diameter of the hole 41a is formed. In the inner surface of the bottom end part of the annular wall 41b, a hook 41c is formed at each of two sections opposite to each other across the shaft center so as to overhang inside in a radial direction. Further, in the lower surface end of each of the hooks 41c, a raised part 41d, which meshes with the protruding strip 20 of the shaft part 10, is formed.

[0045] Further, in the inner surface of the annular wall 41b, in the upper position than the hook 41c, a protrusion 41e is formed in two sections at the left and the right. The protrusions 41e are used for mounting the cylindrical shaped decoration part 44 as shown in FIG. 5. That is, in the present embodiment, the decoration part 44 is used so as to distinguish one from others of the spinning top toy 1. As the decoration part 44, multiple types in which the shape and the color of the upper surface are different are offered. The decoration part 44 is in a columnar shape, and a groove 44a in which the protrusions 41e are fitted into is formed in the outer peripheral surface. After fitting the protrusions 41e with the engagement part (entrance) of the groove 44a in the vertical direction, the edge of the groove 44a and the protrusions 41e are engaged by rotating the decoration part 44 in a predetermined direction, so that the decoration part 44 is mounted on the top plate 41.

[0046] Further, in the upper wall of the top plate 41, an arcuate slit 41f through which the tongue-piece part 33 of the flywheel 30 is inserted from the lower side is formed in two sections at the left and the right. The one end side of the width of each of the slits 41f in the circumferential direction is wider and the other end side is narrower.

[0047] Further, in the lower side of the top plate 41, a cylindrical shaped boss 41g at each of two sections opposite to each other across the shaft center is formed. A male screw (not shown) is formed in the inner surface of the holes of the boss 41g.

[0048] In the outermost circumference of the top plate 41, an outside annular wall 41h, which hangs downward, is formed.

[0049] FIG. 8 is a perspective view showing a lower plate 42 when viewed from the upper side. In the lower plate 42, a hole 42a, in which the annual wall 41b of the top plate 41 is inserted from the upper side, an arcuate slit 42b, which is positioned under each of the slits 41f of the top plate 41, and a hole 42c, in which each of the bosses 41g of the top plate 41 is inserted from the upper side, are formed.

[0050] Further, a cylindrical erected wall 42d is formed in an upper surface outer peripheral side of the lower plate 42. In the bottom end part outer surface of the erected wall 42d, a flange part 42e which stretches out to the radial direction outward is formed. In the flange part 42e, an overhanging portion 42f is formed in two sections at the front and the back in a manner of stretching out to the radial direction outward and being raised. The overhanging portion 42f is in a nearly triangular shape when viewed from the outward radial direction. The overhanging portion 42f is provided with the first collision part. On the upper surface of the front side of the rotation direction of the overhanging portion 42f, a collision face 420f is formed. The collision face 420f is formed as a tilting face which is inclined downward towards the front end of rotation direction of the spinning top toy 1. In the outer periphery of the erected wall 42d, a plurality of protrusion parts 42i for positioning the ring 43 at the first rotation position and the second rotation position is formed.

[0051] Further, a recessed part 42g is formed in the lower plate 42. The recessed part 42g has an opening from the hole 42a of the center of the lower plate 42 to the flange part 42e. A locking member 45 is arranged in the recessed part 42g as shown in FIGS. 5 and 10. The locking member 45 is provided to be capable of reciprocally moving in the radial direction of the lower plate 42 along the extending direction of the recessed part 42g. A recessed part 45a is formed in the lower side of the base part of the locking member 45. By engaging the recessed part 45a with a floor plate (not shown) of the recessed part 42g, the stroke of the locking member 45 is adjusted. At the outer end side of the locking member 45, a locking part 45b is formed. When the body part 40 is mounted on the shaft part 10, the locking part 45b abuts to the outer periphery of the cylindrical body 13 and keeps in a state of projecting above the flange part 42e.

[0052] FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing the ring 43 when viewed from the upper side. The body of the ring 43 is formed in a cylindrical shape. In the bottom end part inner periphery of the ring 43, an annular flange part 43a which stretches out to the radial direction inward is formed. When the top plate 41 and the lower plate 42 are assembled, the annular flange part 43a is sit on the flange part 42e of the lower plate 42, and it is held between the annular wall 41h of the top plate 41 and the flange part 42e of the lower plate 42.

[0053] Further, in the ring 43, an overhanging portion 43b is formed in each of two sections, which face each other across the shaft center, in a manner of stretching out to the radial direction outward and being raised. The overhanging portion 43b is formed in a nearly inverse triangular shape when viewed from the radial direction outward. The overhanging portion 43b is provided with the second collision part. A collision face 430b is formed in the lower surface of the front side of the rotation direction of the overhanging portion 43b. The collision face 430b is formed as a tilting face which is inclined upward towards the rotation direction of the front end of the spinning top toy 1.

[0054] Further, a recessed part 43c is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the flange part 43a. When the ring 43 rotates with respect to the lower plate 42, the ring 43 is positioned by engaging one of the plurality of protrusion parts 42i. In the embodiment, there are multiple protrusion parts 42i, and the ring 43 is positioned at one of the first rotation position and the second rotation position.

[0055] The first rotation position is the rotation position where the ring 43 is rotated in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the spinning top toy 1 with respect to the lower plate 42, and the tilting face of the overhanging portion 43b abuts to the collision face 420f of the overhanging portion 42f (FIG. 12(A)). The second rotation position is the rotation position where the ring 43 rotates to the rotation direction of the spinning top toy 1 with respect to the lower plate 42, and the collision face 420f of the overhanging portion 42f abuts to the tilting face of the overhanging portion 43b (FIG. 12(B)). In the first rotation position, the collision face 420f of the overhanging portion 42f is covered by the overhanging portion 43b, so that the collision face 430b of the overhanging portion 43b becomes only the new collision face. Further, in the second rotation position, the collision face 430 of the overhanging portion 43b is covered by the overhanging portion 42f, so that the collision face 420f of the overhanging portion 42f becomes only the new collision face.

[0056] Next, the structure for assembling the top plate 41, the lower plate 42, and the ring 43 will be described. The annual wall 41b of the top plate 41 is inserted into the hole 42a of the lower plate 42. The bosses 41g of the top plate 41 is inserted into the holes 42c of the lower plate 42. In a state in which the flange part 43a of the ring 43 is held by the annular wall 41h of the top plate 41 and the flange part 42e of the lower plate 42, by screwing the male screws (not shown), which is provided with washers, to the female screws of the bosses 41g from the lower side of the lower plate 42, the top plate 41, the lower plate 42, and the ring 43 are assembled. The top plate 41 and the lower plate 42 are configured as a body main part with respect to the ring 43.

[0057] Next, the engaging means 50 of the ring 43 will be described.

[0058] The engaging means 50 is provided with the locking member 45. On the other hand, in the ring 43, the recessed parts 50a, 50b are formed to correspond to the two rotation positions.

[0059] By the engaging means 50, as shown in FIGS. 11(A) and 11(B), the ring 43 is engaged at any of the recessed parts 50a, 50b, so as to be engaged at the first rotation position and the second rotation position.

[0060] A plurality of the engaging means 50 may be provided.

[0061] Next, the assembly method of the spinning top toy 1 will be described.

[0062] Here, it is assumed that the assembly of each of the shaft part 10 and the body part 40 has been already finished as shown in FIG. 5.

[0063] First, the shaft part 10 and the flywheel 30 are assembled to be a fitting state by engaging the projection part 16 of the shaft part 10 to the recessed part 32 of the flywheel 30 from the lower side. Next, this assembled body is brought close to the body part 40 from the lower side. At this point, the tongue-piece parts 33 of the flywheel 30 of the aforementioned assembled body are engaged with a predetermined end of the arcuate slits 41f of the body part 40 through the slits 42b. In this state, the hooks 17 of the shaft part 10 are not overlapped with the hooks 41c of the body part 40 in the vertical direction. This is the disassembled state. After that, the shaft part 10 of the aforementioned assembled body is pressed to the body part 40 side. Then, the flywheel 30 is pressed against the lower surface of the body part 40. Further, the spring 19 inside the shaft part 10 is contracted and the urging member 18 is lowered, so that the hooks 17 of the shaft part 10 are relatively pushed more upward than the hooks 41c of the body part 40. The shaft part 10 is integrally rotated with the flywheel 30 with respect to the body part 40 until the tongue-piece part 33 moves to the end which is the opposite side of the predetermined end. And then, it becomes the state in which the hooks 17 of the shaft part 10 and the hooks 41c of the body part 40 are vertically overlapped. When a hand is removed from the shaft part 10, the lower surface of the hooks 17 of the shaft part 10 and the upper surface of the hooks 41c of the body part 40 are abutted by the urging force of the spring 19 inside the shaft part 10. This state, in which the lower surface of the hooks 17 of the shaft part 10 and the upper surface of the hooks 41c of the body part 40 are abutted is the assembled state. With such structure, the shaft part 10, the flywheel 30, and the body part 40 are assembled, so that the spinning top toy 1 is built.

[0064] Next, an example of how to play with the spinning top toy 1 will be described.

[0065] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a launcher for rotating and driving the spinning top toy 1.

[0066] In the example of how to play by spinning the spinning top toy 1, a battle is performed with the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent.

[0067] In this case, a charge of the spinning force of the spinning top toy 1 is performed by the launcher 60. In the inside part, the launcher 60 is provided with a disk which is not shown, and the disk is energized in one rotational direction by the power spring which is not shown. When the string, which is not shown, wound around the disk is pulled by a handle 61, the disk is rotated, and therefore, the spinning top holder 62 is rotated. The rotation of the spinning holder 62 is transmitted to the spinning top 1 by the forks 63 projected downward, so that the spinning top toy 1 is rotated. In this case, the forks 63 are inserted to the arcuate slits 41f of the body part 40. When the handle 61 of the launcher 60 is pulled to the end, the rotation of the disk and the spinning top holder 62 is stopped, and on the other hand, the spinning top toy 1 is rotated further by the inertia force, so that the spinning top toy 1 is released from the spinning top holder 62 in accordance with tilting faces 63a of the forks 63.

[0068] The spinning top toy 1 which is launched in such manner, is rotated in a predetermined direction in a predetermined field. When it collides with the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent, by the impact fore of the collision, the opposite direction force, which is opposite to the rotation direction of the shaft part 10 and the flywheel 30, is applied to the body part 40. With this, the body part 40 is relatively rotated to the direction opposite to the rotation direction of the shaft part 10 and the flywheel 30.

[0069] And then, the engagement position of the raised parts 41d of the lower surface of the body part 40 and the protruding strips 20 is changed in accordance with the relative rotation of the shaft part 10 with respect to the body part 40. When it reaches the locking releasing position, the hooks 41c of the body part 40 are removed from the hooks 17 of the shaft part 10, so that the body part 40 is separated from the shaft part 10 by the urging force of the spring 19 inside the shaft part 10. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, the spinning top toy 1 is disassembled.

[0070] In the spinning top toy 1, as shown in FIG. 11(A), in an adjacent state, when the overhanging portion 43b is positioned closer to the front side of the rotation direction of the spinning top toy 1 than the overhanging portion 42f, only the collision face 430b functions as the collision face, so that when it collides with the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent, the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent is brought down by the collision face 430b.

[0071] Further, as shown in FIG. 11(B), when the overhanging portion 42f is positioned closer to the front side of the rotation direction of the spinning top toy 1 than the overhanging portion 43b, only the collision face 420f functions as the collision face, so that when it collides with the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent, the spinning top toy 1 of the opponent is brought up by the collision face 420f.

[0072] The embodiments of the present invention were described above, but the present invention is not limited to the aforementioned embodiments, and needless to say, various modifications may be made within the scope that does not depart from the essential point of the present invention.

[0073] For example, the collision face of the overhanging portion 43b is formed by the tilting face 430 which is inclined downward towards the front end of the rotation direction of the spinning top toy 1. And on the other hand, the collision face 420f of the overhanging portion 42f is formed by the tilting face which is inclined upward towards the front end of the rotation direction, but the shape of the collision faces may be different from each other.

[0074] Further, the two collision faces 420f, 430b which are different from each other are provided, and only the collision face 430b is configured to rotate around the shaft center as the center, but it may be more than or equal to three collision faces. Further, in this case, the respective collision faces may be configured to rotate around the shaft center as the center.

[0075] Further, the collision face 430b is formed in the ring 43, which is an example of the rotation body and is provided with respect to the shaft center as the center, and each of the overhanging portions 43b in which the collision face 430b is formed may be provided in the body main part to be movable in the circumferential direction.

[0076] In the aforementioned embodiments, it discloses about the spinning top toy 1 which is rotated in one direction, but it may be applied to the spinning top toy 1 which is rotated in both directions. In this case, when a symmetrical shape in the front and the back of the overhanging portion in the rotation direction may be formed as the overhanging portions 42f, 43b of the present embodiment, the same attaching function at the time of the rotation in one direction and at the time of the rotation in the other direction can be obtained. Needless to say, the shapes of the front and the back of the overhanging portions 42f, 43b in the rotation direction may be made different, so that the different attacking functions at the time of the rotation in one direction and at the time of the rotation in the other direction can be obtained.

[0077] Further, in the aforementioned embodiments, the overhanging portion 43b is moved to the position where the overhanging portions 42f, 43b are adjacent to each other, but if there is a case in which the attaching function, etc. may be changed by changing the position relationship in the circumference direction of the overhanging portion 42f and the overhanging portion 43b, the overhanging portion 43b may be engaged in a separate position between the overhanging portion 42f and the overhanging portion 43b. In this case, it is not particularly limited, but it is preferable not to demonstrate the function of the collision face of the other overhanging portion by relatively moving the particular overhanging portion.

[0078] Further, the shapes of the engaged side overhanging portion and the movable side overhanging portion or the shapes of the collision faces may be reversed, and the shapes of the engaged side overhanging portion and the movable side overhanging portion or the shapes of the collision faces are not limited to the aforementioned shapes.
