[0011] FIG. 1 is a top view of the golf training device of the present invention.
[0012] FIG. 2 is a side view of the golf training device of the present invention.
[0013] FIG. 3 is a front view of the golf training device of the present invention.
[0014] FIG. 4 is a rear view of the golf training device of the present invention.
[0015] FIG. 5 is the golf training device mounted on a golf club of the present invention
[0016] FIG. 6 is a fits into hand while gripping the club of the present invention.
[0017] FIG. 7 is a bottom view of the golf training device of the present invention.
[0018] FIG. 8 is a side view of the golf training device of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0019] Top view of the golf training device formed from molded material as shown in FIG. 1 highlights the curvature of the inside of the golf training device to fit over and onto the golf club.
[0020] Side view of the golf training device as shown in FIG. 2 highlighting curvature to allow for the placement of the index figure on the molded material.
[0021] Front view of the golf training device formed from molded material as shown in FIG. 3 highlights the "V" on the molded material. The golf training device formed from molded material fits into the palm of the hand and also has curvature for comfortable positioning of now thumb and the index finger.
[0022] Rear view of the golf training device formed from molded material as shown in FIG. 4 highlights the curvature of the inside of the golf training device formed from molded material to fit over and onto the golf club.
[0023] The golf training device formed from molded material as shown in FIG. 5 fits over and onto golf club.
[0024] The golf training device formed from molded material as shown in FIG. 6 fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfer's proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club.
A. Overview
[0025] Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, the figures illustrate the golf training device that fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfers proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club.
B. Molded Material
[0026] The material of the golf training device is molded in such a fashion as to provide comfortable positioning of the palm, index finger and thumb on the golf club.
[0027] There is an inside surface and outside surface of the golf training device formed from molded material which may be flexible. The inside surface of the golf training device is curved into a discontinuous cylinder in such manner as to fit over and on to the grip or the shaft of the golf club (see FIG. 1). The outside surface of the golf training device is curved in such a way as to provide a comfortable fit in the hand of the golfers palm, index finger and thumb while gripping the golf club (see FIGS. 2 and 3). The golf training device may be molded to fit in the palm of the hand as well as the index finger and thumb. There is also a "V" molded into the material that sits on the outside of the golf training device between the index finger and thumb to indicate the desired positioning of the hand while gripping the club (see FIGS. 3 and 7).
[0028] The golf training device may be altered to fit a left handed golfer's left hand. The outside curvature of the material would vary to facilitate that.
C. Hardness of Molded Material
[0029] The material is soft/flexible enough to provide feedback to the user for proper grip pressure on the club.
[0030] The material is firm enough to fit onto the golf club but also soft enough to provide some feedback as to the pressure that the golf is gripping the club with the right hand.
[0031] The material may vary in hardness and durability.
D. Inside Molded Material
[0032] The material is molded in such a way as to fit on the grip of the golf club.
[0033] The inside of the golf training device is an open ended diameter large enough to fit over a golf club or golf shaft but small enough for a firm pressure fitting (see FIG. 6).
[0034] The diameter of the cavity defined by the inside surface of the golf training device can be varied to fit over different golf clubs and grip types.
[0035] There is a "V" that fits in between the index finger and thumb to indicate where the golf should position the hand on the club. The "V" is a integral part of the golf training device and is visible to the golfer (see FIGS. 3 and 7).
[0036] The "V" can be different sizes and or different colors to highlight it on the molded material.
F. Connections of Main Elements and Sub-Elements of the Invention
[0037] The curvatures of the outside surface and inside surface of the of training device allow for proper placement of the hand on the club.
G. Alternative Embodiments of the Invention
[0038] The golf training device can be molded to fit into the left hand or a left handed golfer in the same way that it fits into the right hand of a right handed golfer.
H. Operation of Preferred Embodiment
[0039] The golf training device fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfers proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club. The golfer puts the golf training device over and onto the golf club and then positions the molded material in such a way that when in the right hand is properly positioned on the club. The "V" on the molded material should point towards the right shoulder when properly positioned in the right hand and on the golf club.
What has been described and illustrated herein is a preferred embodiment of the invention along with some of its variations.
