[0011] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a moldable curio assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0012] FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0013] FIG. 3 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0014] FIG. 4 is a right side cut-away view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0015] FIG. 5 is a front view of an alternative embodiment of the disclosure.
[0016] FIG. 6 is a cross sectional view taken along line 6-6 of FIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0017] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new curio device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
[0018] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the moldable curio assembly 10 generally comprises a FIG. 12 that has a body 14, a head 16, a pair of arms 18 and a pair of legs 20. The body 14 is comprised of a clay material. Thus, the body 14 may be manipulated into a selected shape. The clay material may be baked in an oven when the body 14 is manipulated into the selected shape. Thus, the clay material is hardened to retain the selected shape.
[0019] The body 14 has a bottom end 22 and a front side 23. The bottom end 22 is flattened to be positioned on a shelf. Thus, the FIG. 12 may be displayed in a sitting position. The head 16 may include a snout 24 and a pair of ears 26. Thus, the head 16 may have the ornamental appearance of a teddy bear head. Indicia 25 may be printed on the front side 23 and the indicia 25 may comprise a logo or the like.
[0020] Each of the arms 18 is selectively coupled to the body 14 when the body 14 is manipulated into the selected shape. Each of the arms 18 may penetrate the body 14 thereby retaining each of the arms 18 of the body 14. Each of the arms 18 is comprised of a resiliently bendable material. Thus, each of the arms 18 may be manipulated into a selected position. Each of the arms 18 has a distal end 28 with respect to the body 14.
[0021] Each of the legs 20 is selectively coupled to the body 14 when the body 14 is manipulated into the selected shape. Each of the legs 20 may penetrate the body 14 thereby retaining each of the legs 20 on the body 14. Each of the legs 20 is comprised of a resiliently bendable material. Thus, each of the legs 20 may be manipulated into a selected position. Each of the legs 20 has a distal end 30 with respect to the body 14.
[0022] A pair of first paws 32 is provided. Each of the first paws 32 is coupled to the distal end 28 of an associated one of the arms 18. Each of the first paws 32 may have the ornamental appearance of bear paws. A pair of second paws 34 is provided. Each of the second paws 34 is coupled to the distal end 30 of an associated one of the legs 20. Each of the second paws 34 may have the ornamental appearance of bear paws.
[0023] A pair of eyes 36 is provided. Each of the eyes 36 is selectively fastened to the head 16. Thus, each of the eyes 36 enhances an ornamental appearance of the head 16. An adhesive may be used to fasten each of the eyes 36 to the head 16.
[0024] Each of the eyes 36 comprises a lens 38 that has a front wall 40 and a back wall 42. The front wall 40 is convexly arcuate with respect to the back wall 42. The front wall 40 is comprised of a translucent material. The back wall 42 is fastened to an outer surface 44 of the head 16. A disk 46 is movably positioned within the lens 38. The disk 46 is structured to resemble a pupil of an eye.
[0025] In an alternative embodiment 48 as shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of horns 50 may each be coupled to the head 16. Thus, the head 16 may have the ornamental appearance of a dragon or the like. A pair of wings 52 may be provided. Each of the wings 52 may be selectively coupled to a back side 54 of the body 14. Thus, each of the wings 52 may have the ornamental appearance of dragon wings 52.
[0026] In use, the body 14 is manipulated into the selected shape. The body 14 is placed in an oven to bake the body 14. Thus, the body 14 is hardened into the selected shape. Each of the arms 18 is fastened to the body 14 and each of the arms 18 is manipulated into the selected position. Each of the legs 20 is fastened to the body 14 and each of the legs 20 is manipulated into the selected position. Each of the eyes 36 is fastened to the head 16 in a selected position. The body 14 is positioned to sit on a shelf having each of the legs 20 dangling from the shelf.
[0027] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0028] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word "comprising" is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article "a" does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
