Description:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a quick change back up pad, and more particularly to a quick change back up pad which can effectively dissipate heat.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] In view of a fact that at present, a quick change back up pad in use causes a grinding disc to generate a problem of excessively high temperature due to high-speed rotation, various manufacturers all research and develop a technique for reducing the temperature of the grinding disc. Taiwan utility model patent No. M531405 discloses a buffing transfer disc, and the buffing transfer disc can be driven to rotate by an electric drive tool to grind an object. The buffing transfer disc includes a disc body, an engagement member, a bearing assembly, and a drive unit. The disc body comprises a plurality of air exit holes, the engagement member is mounted on a surface of the disc body and comprises a plurality of vent holes respectively communicated with the plurality of air exit holes, the bearing assembly is mounted on the disc body and can drive the disc body to rotate, and the drive unit is connected between the bearing assembly and the electric drive tool. When the buffing transfer disc is actually used, a grinding disc can be connected to the engagement member through a fitting engagement member, such that the grinding disc can perform heat dissipation through the plurality of air exit holes when rotating with the disc body.

[0003] However, it can be found from the above disclosure of Taiwan utility model patent No. M531405 that since the engagement member and the fitting engagement member are tightly engaged (in one embodiment, the engagement member and the fitting engagement member are constituted by a hook-like structure and a ring-like structure of a Velcro tape), a surface of the grinding disc covered by the fitting engagement member, the engagement member and the disc body will be difficult to perform heat dissipation, thereby causing a problem that the grinding disc has an excessively high temperature and is inconvenient to use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] A main objective of the present invention is to solve a problem that a grinding disc is difficult to perform heat dissipation since a surface thereof is covered in the conventional implementation.

[0005] To achieve the above objective, the present invention provides a quick change back up pad, selectively assembled on a grinding hand tool, which includes a grinding disc and a base. The base is connected between the grinding disc and the grinding hand tool. Wherein, the quick change back up pad comprises a gap formed between the base and the grinding disc and communicated to the outside, a plurality of air holes communicated with the gap is formed through the base, and the plurality of air holes forms an airflow for performing heat exchange on the grinding disc during a rotation process of the quick change back up pad.

[0006] In one embodiment, the plurality of air holes is circularly disposed in the base. The plurality of air holes is disposed in the outer edge of the base. Further, a distance between any two of the plurality of air holes is the same as each other.

[0007] In one embodiment, shapes of the plurality of air holes are all circular shapes.

[0008] In one embodiment, the base comprises a concave surface facing the gap. In one embodiment, the grinding disc comprises a first assembly portion disposed at the center of a surface of the grinding disc, and the base comprises a second assembly portion disposed at the center of the base and used for the first assembly portion to assemble and fix.

[0009] Compared with conventional implementation, the present invention has the following features through the above embodiments:

[0010] In the present invention, the gap is formed between the grinding disc and the base and the base comprises the plurality of air holes communicated with the gap, such that the airflow may flow into from the gap due to the rotation of the quick change back up pad to bring heat energy generated by the operation of the quick change back up pad to the outside of the plurality of air holes, thereby solving a problem that a grinding disc is difficult to perform heat dissipation since a surface thereof is covered in the conventional implementation.

[0014] FIG. 4 is a schematic top view when the present invention is implemented.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0015] Detailed description and technical contents of the present invention are described with reference to the accompanying drawings as follows:

[0016] Please referring to FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4, the present invention provides a quick change back up pad 1. The quick change back up pad 1 can be mounted on a grinding hand tool 2 such that the grinding hand tool 2 performs a grinding operation on an object (not shown) after driving the quick change back up pad 1 to rotate. The quick change back up pad 1 includes a grinding disc 11 and a base 12. The grinding disc 11 is mounted on one side of the base 12 such that a gap 13 communicated to the outside is formed between the grinding disc 11 and the base 12. Specifically, a surface of the grinding disc 11 may comprises a ground particle (e.g., metal or a stone grain), and the base 12 can be made of a elastic material (e.g., rubber). A plurality of air holes 121 is formed through the base 12, and the plurality of air holes 121 is communicated with the gap 13, respectively. In one embodiment, the plurality of air holes 121 is circularly disposed in the base 12, as shown in FIG. 4. A distance between any two of the plurality of air holes 121 can be the same as each other. If viewed from the assembled structure of the grinding disc 11 and the base 12, the grinding disc 11 comprises a first assembly portion 111, the base 12 comprises a second assembly portion 122, and the first assembly portion 111 can be mounted in the second assembly portion 122 such that the grinding disc 11 is fixed to one side of the base 12, as shown in FIG. 3. In one embodiment, the first assembly portion 111 is a stud, and the second assembly portion 122 is a screw hole for the stud (i.e., the first assembly portion 111) to screw and fix. In another embodiment, the first assembly portion 111 is a plurality of fitting pieces, and the second assembly portion 122 is a plurality of fitting holes for one of the plurality of fitting pieces to fit respectively.

[0017] The detailed configuration of the quick change back up pad 1 can be clearly known from the above technical description. Therefore, the present invention will further describe a use procedure of the quick change back up pad 1 and an implementation generated by the use procedure. During the use procedure of the quick change back up pad 1, the base 12 is connected between the grinding disc 11 and the grinding hand tool 2 such that the grinding hand tool 2 drives the grinding disc 11 to rotate through the base 12. In one embodiment, the base 12 comprises an shaft hole 123, the grinding hand tool 2 comprises a drive shaft 21, the drive shaft 21 can be mounted in the shaft hole 123, and the grinding hand tool 2 can interlock the drive shaft 21 to drive the quick change back up pad 1 to rotate through a pneumatic drive mode or electric drive mode. When the quick change back up pad 1 in rotation comes into contact with an object surface (not shown) to perform a grinding operation, since the gap 13 is formed between the grinding disc 11 and the base 12 and the base 12 comprises the plurality of air holes 121 communicated with the gap 13, such that the plurality of air holes 121 forms an airflow during the rotation process of the quick change back up pad 1. Wherein, the airflow flows from the gap 13 into a space between the grinding disc 11 and the base 12 due to the rotation of the quick change back up pad 1, and then brings heat energy generated by the operation of the quick change back up pad 1 to the outside of the plurality of air holes 121 from between the grinding disc 11 and the base 12. In addition, if the grinding disc 11 is deformed because of extruding the object surface, the airflow flows from one side of the gap 13 having a smaller space towards one side of the gap 13 having a larger space and is discharged by part of the plurality of air holes 121. Accordingly, the quick change back up pad 1 performs a heat exchange action on the grinding disc 11 through the airflow generated in the plurality of air holes 121 to perform heat dissipation, thereby solving a problem that a grinding disc 11 is difficult to perform heat dissipation since a surface thereof is covered in the conventional implementation. Therefore, in order to enable the quick change back up pad 1 to have better heat dissipation effects at the time of the rotation, in one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, shapes of the plurality of air holes 121 are all circular shapes such that the airflow discharges heat energy smoothly from the plurality of air holes 121. In addition, the plurality of air holes 121 can be disposed in the periphery of the base 12 (in other words, the plurality of air holes 121 is disposed at positions of the base 12 close to the outer side), such that the airflow can quickly flow to the plurality of air holes 121 to discharge the heat energy after entering a space between the grinding disc 11 and the base 12 from the gap 13. In addition to two embodiments described above, the base 12 comprises a concave surface 124 facing the gap 13, and as shown in FIG. 3, the concave surface 124 may lengthen the gap 13 between the grinding disc 11 and the base 12, thereby increasing the heat dissipation space of the airflow.
