Abstract:
As the air conditioning system is operating, the air pressure inside the
air handling unit is negative while the outside air pressure is positive.
This creates a vacuum. The room air streams through the fresh air inlet
into the T-coupling. This air stream then moves through the existing PVC
piping into the existing drain pan. As a result, this air stream pushes
away solid particles that are located at the outlet of the condensate
water pan.
In conclusion, no chemicals in either liquid or tablet farm were needed
to keep the condensate water flowing freely. Plus, there was no need to
intervene manually to get the water flowing. Problems resulting from the
condensate water pan have been solve with this invention.Claims:
1. A condensate water inlet safe guard comprising: a fresh air inlet
pipe; a T-coupling; existing PVC pipe; an existing drain pan; said fresh
air inlet pipe connected to said T-coupling; said T-coupling connected to
said existing PVC pipe; said existing PVC pipe connected to existing
drain pan; when air pressure n the said drain pan is negative and outside
positive pressure air streams through said fresh air inlet pipe and said
T-coupling into said PVC pipe into said existing drain pan.Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0007] This invention relates generally to the field of air conditioning and more specifically to the water system associated with the condensate water pan.
2) Background Art
[0008] The air conditioning drain pan provides the ideal environment for bacteria to grow. At the present time, the removal of bacteria is treated either with tablets or liquid chemicals placed in the drain pan. More often, however, no action is taken to remove the bacteria from the drain pan due to the inconvenience associated with the task.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0009] This invention, solves problems resulting from water either standing in or overflowing from the condensate drain pan. These problems include:
[0010] 1) health issues caused by increased bacteria found in the air due to bacteria growth in the drain pan.
[0011] 2) structural, damages caused by water overflowing from the drain pan.
[0012] At the present time, problems resulting from condensate water lines need to be treated manually.
[0013] This invention automates the removal of water from the drain pan to a designated area outdoors without the need of placing chemicals directly in the drain pan.

[0015] T-coupling (10) is connected to fresh air inlet (11) and existing main condensate water PVC pipes (13) and (14). Drain pan is connected to existing water PVC pipes (13) and (14). Outside fresh air (30) streams through fresh air inlet (11), through the T-coupling (10), through the existing condensate water PVC pipe (14) into the drain pan (12).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0019] Standing water provides the ideal environment for bacteria to grow. Bacteria growth in the condensate drain pan prevents condensate water from flowing into a designated area outside. The water then begins to build up and overflow from the condensate water pan causing water damages to the building structure.
[0020] FIG. 1. and FIG. 2. demonstrate the fresh air stream (30) entering into the drain pan through the fresh air inlet pipe (11) and through the condensate water PVC pipe (10) This air stream forces any solid particle (i.e. bacteria growth) out of the condensate water outlet.
[0021] Since the water now has the ability to flow freely, there is no standing water in the drain pan to cause bacteria growth in the drain pan. Any structural damages due to water overflowing from the condensate water drain pan have been prevented. In addition, no chemicals were needed to prevent bacteria growth.
