Description:
BACKGROUND
[0001] This disclosure relates to a blanket that can be wrapped around a user, and more particularly to a blanket that can be wrapped around the legs of the user in a manner wherein the blanket will not interfere with normal standing or walking.
[0002] The conventional blankets used by users are square or rectangle in shape. These blankets are good to be used when a user is sleeping or lying. However, the blankets are not proper when the user is sitting on chair or relaxing on couch.
[0003] The conventional blankets used by users slip from chair or couch while sitting, walking, or relaxing or cannot be laid on the child in a stroller without interfering with the retaining straps of the stroller or being bunched up so that the legs are exposed and not properly covered. Furthermore, at times the blanket simply gathers on the chair instead of being properly spread on the users. Therefore, the convention blankets are not appropriate for the users using blankets for a long duration of time.
[0004] Unfortunately, the lack of innovation and effective investment in research and development to address the issues which had no solution to these problems. Accordingly, there exists a need for innovation in relation to this technology in the market.
[0005] Hence, the present disclosed invention focuses to provide for a blanket wrap for the users. The blanket can be wrapped around the legs of the users and can be adjusted as per their requirements without dragging of the blanket on the ground.

[0020] Referring to FIG. 1, a blanket wrap 100 to be used for users. The blanket wrap 100 comprises a blanket 102 and a plurality of closures 104 provided with the blanket.
[0021] In one embodiment, the blanket 102 is provided with a "V" cut 106 on one side of the blanket. The side of the blanket having the "V" cut 106 is the bottom end side 110 of the blanket 102 and the side opposite to this is the top end side 112 of the blanket 102.
[0022] In one embodiment, the blanket 102 is provided with a plurality of closures 104 preferably on the bottom end side 110 of the blanket 102. Further, the closures 104 are used to create the leg wrap for the users such as the blanket can be properly wrapped around the legs of the users. In one embodiment, the blanket can be used as a traditional blanket and cover the user and not wrap around the user.
[0023] In one embodiment, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the blanket is reinforced 108 at the split of the "V" cut 106 at the bottom end side 110 of the blanket. Further, the "V" cut at the bottom end side of the blanket is made long enough to easily cover the complete leg of the user. Further, the "V" cut length is approximately half of the blanket length.
[0024] In one embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 1, the bottom end of the blanket is having the "V" cut 106 which divides the bottom end of the blanket into two flaps 114. The two flaps 114 at the bottom end of the blanket are a left flap and a right flap.
[0025] The disclosed invention is illustrated in an exemplary FIG. 3, wherein the Figure demonstrates the use of the blanket wrap by the user. The Figure illustrates that the end of the blanket which has the "V" cut 106 is kept towards the bottom side 110 and the side opposite to the bottom side is the top end side or top side 112. Further the two flaps of the bottom end 114 of the blanket are folded to wrap both the legs of the user by using plurality of closures 104.
[0026] In one embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 4, the right flap and the left flap of the bottom end side 110 of the blanket are provided with a cinch strap 116 at the bottom of the flaps 114 of the blanket wrap 100. The cinch strap is provided at the bottom of both the flaps to keep the blanket secured around the ankle region of the legs and to avoid the dragging of excess blanket on the floor. In one embodiment, the cinch strap is adjustable to allow the user to adjust how tight the blanket is secured.
[0027] Referring to in FIG. 4A and 4B, the strap of the cinch strap 116 can be secured using a closure 118, preferably near the calf region of the leg of the user, so that the strap does not hang around and interferes with the normal activity of the leg. FIG. 4B, closely and clearly indicates how the cinch strap is tightened and is secured using a cinch strap.
[0028] Referring to FIG. 5, the left flap of the bottom end of the blanket is provided with a plurality of closures 104 to wrap the left flap around the left leg and the right flap around the right leg of the user. The user can properly wrap the blanket around the left and right leg and kept in position by using the closures provided on the left and right flap. Further, the closures are positioned at the various points in the left and right flap of the blanket wrap. The positions of the closures shall preferably be located at the hip region, the knee point and the ankle point.
[0029] In one embodiment, as indicated in FIG. 6, the top end of the blanket is provided with the detachable closure 120 so as to make the blanket stay when wrapped high around the body of the user.
[0030] In one embodiment, the closures include strap closures, hook and loop (e.g. Velcro.RTM.) closures, clip closures, magnetic snap closures, buttons, and snap closures or a cinch strap closures.
[0031] In one embodiment, the blanket wrap is available in three (3) sizes, for the use by different age groups. The sizes shall be small for the infants or children, medium for teens and young users and large for middle aged and elderly.
[0032] In one embodiment, a pocket can be optionally added on the front of the blanket wrap which are to be used by the teens or the adults. The pocket can be used for keeping quick items including cash, keys, wallets, medicines. These things can be accessed quickly when kept in pocket without the need of standing of the user.
[0033] In one embodiment, the blanket wrap can be made in various materials or light material depending upon the weather requirement of the users. Further, the blanket can be made of light or heavier or quilted material.
[0034] While the embodiments have been described in connection with the preferred embodiments of the various figures, it is to be understood that other similar embodiments may be used or modifications and additions may be made to the described embodiment for performing the same function without deviating therefrom. Therefore, the disclosed embodiments should not be limited to any single embodiment, but rather should be construed in breadth and scope in accordance with the appended claims.
