Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE

Field of the Disclosure

[0001] The disclosure relates to music playing doll devices and more particularly pertains to a new music playing doll device for attachment to a child to encourage the child to dance with the doll.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

[0002] An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a doll including a body section. A head is attached to and extends upwardly from the body section, a pair of legs is attached to and extends downwardly from the body section, and a pair of arms is attached to and extends laterally from the body section. Each of a plurality of band is attached to the doll. A sound playing assembly is mounted on the doll and plays music when the sound playing assembly is actuated.

[0003] There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

[0004] The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0005] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0006] FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a dance encouraging doll assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0007] FIG. 2 is a side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0008] FIG. 3 is a rear view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0009] FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0010] FIG. 5 is a side in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0011] FIG. 6 is a schematic view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0012] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new music playing doll device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0013] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the dance encouraging doll assembly 10 generally comprises a doll 12 including a body section 14. A head 16 is attached to and extends upwardly from the body section 14. A pair of legs 18 is attached to and extends downwardly from the body section 14. A pair of arms 20 is attached to and extends laterally from the body section 14. The doll 12 is comprised of a flexible cloth material such that each of the head 16, body section 14, legs 18 and arms 20 may each be comprised of a cloth material. The doll 12 may have any number of aesthetic appearances including facial features, hair, clothes and the like. The doll 12 may have a height between 30 inches and 48 inches.

[0014] A plurality of bands 22 is attached the doll. More particularly, each of the bands 20 may be elongated and have a pair of ends 24 which are attached to the doll 12. Each of the arms 20 terminates with a hand 26 and each of the hands 26 has one of the bands 22 attached thereto. The bands 22 may be positioned on a palm side 28 of an associated one of the hands 26. Each of the legs 18 terminates with a foot 30 and each of the feet 30 has one of the bands 22 attached thereto. The bands 26 on the feet 30 are positioned on a bottom side 32 of an associated one of the feet 30. The bands 26 may be comprised of a resiliently stretchable material.

[0015] A sound playing assembly 34 is mounted on the doll 12. The sound playing assembly 34 plays music when the sound playing assembly 34 is actuated. The sound playing assembly 34 may include a housing 36 mounted on the doll 12 and which contains a control circuit 38 electrically coupled an electronic memory 40 having one or more songs mounted thereon. One or more switches 42 are mounted on the housing 36 and are operationally coupled to the control circuit 38 wherein actuation of one of the switches 42 causes the control circuit 38 to access one of the songs and play such audibly on a speaker 44 electrically coupled to the control circuit 38. If multiple switches 42 are used, each may be associated with a particular song. Thus as shown in FIG. 1, four switches 42 may be provided. The songs stored on the electronic memory 40 may be songs which are well known and encourage dancing.

[0016] In use, the assembly 10 is used as would be a conventional doll, however the child may attach the doll to their hands and feet with the bands 22 such that the child's feet are coupled to the feet 30 of the doll 12 and the child's hands are coupled to the hands 26 of the doll . Thus, as the child dances the doll 12 will dance with the child. This will encourage the child to dance.

[0017] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0018] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word "comprising" is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article "a" does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
