Abstract:
A robot toy comprising arms legs, torso and head each made of toy
buildings or skyscrapers which connect, transform, and assemble into a
toy robot is disclosed.Claims:
1. A transformable toy in the shape of a multistory building comprising:
a) a top part of the building haying an articulating connection at the
bottom of the top part for connecting to the center part of the building;
b) a left and right part of the building haying an articulating
connection for connection to the center part of the building; c) a left
and right bottom part of the building haying an articulating connection
for connecting to the bottom left and right bottom of the center part of
the building; d) the center part of the building haying an articulating
connection at the top for connecting the top part of the building, a left
and right articulating connection at the left and right of the center
part for connecting the left and right part of the building, and a bottom
left and right articulating connection for connecting the left and right
bottom part of the building; and e) wherein each of the parts of the
building are connected such that when the parts are articulated they can
be assembled into a toy robot haying arms, legs, a head and a torso, or
assembled into a toy building having a single construction as a
multistory building.

3. A method of assembling a toy robot in a transformational manner comprising selecting a plurality of multistory toy buildings and then using the toy buildings to assemble a pair of arms, a pair of legs, a torso, and a head.
4. A method according to claim 3 wherein the toy buildings are arranged in a city manner before assembling as a toy.
5. The toy building, wherein the lower left and right part of the building are designed to be articulated to form the feet of the toy robot.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The present invention relates to a toy robot. In particular, it relates to a toy robot that is formed or transformed from a plurality of individual multistory buildings.
[0004] Description of Related Art
[0005] The transformable toy is classically a toy that transforms from a toy that moves, runs, or the like, such as a car, into a robot-type toy with arms, legs, torso and head. A multitude of games, toys, cartoons and the like have been fashioned around this idea over the years. A number of design and utility patents have also captured a number of characteristics of these types of robot toys. These types of toys also suffer from the difficulty of figuring out how to make the toy transform, or at least form in the first place. Accordingly, while cartoons and videos can utilize the magic of movies, actual toys have become either impossible to manufacture, extraordinarily expensive, and/or extremely delicate. Having a robot toy that transforms without the above problems has been needed in the art for some time.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The present invention relates to the invention that, instead of making a transformable toy robot from another toy that moves, creating a transformable toy from objects which are not normally movable nor associated with robots, i.e. multistory buildings. This solves the problems above and makes the toys easier to make, as well as functions as a basis for cartoons and stories different than the current transformable toys.
[0007] Accordingly, in one embodiment, there is a robot toy comprising:
[0008] a) a pair of arms connected to a torso;
[0009] b) a pair of legs connected to a torso;
[0010] c) a torso;
[0011] d) a head connected to the torso; and
[0012] e) wherein each of the pair of arms, legs, torso and head are comprised of an assemblage of one or more multistory toy buildings wherein the buildings can be separated into buildings or assembled into a toy robot.
[0013] And, in yet another embodiment, there is a method of assembling a toy robot in a transformational manner comprising selecting a plurality of multistory toy buildings and then using the toy buildings to assemble a pair of arms, a pair of legs, a torso, and a head.

[0024] As used herein the phrase "pair of arms" refers to robot arms, each arm comprising one or more multistory buildings or part of buildings. The intersection of buildings can be utilized as arm joints or shoulder joints where the arm is attached to the torso or pieces of buildings used to assemble appendages (e.g. arms, legs, head, etc.). The arm includes hands, which can be part of a single building or multiple buildings, attached to the arm opposite the shoulder of the torso where the arm attaches.
[0025] As used herein the phrase "pair of legs" refers to robot legs, each leg comprising one or more multistory buildings or pieces of buildings. The intersection of buildings can be utilized as leg joints or hip joints where the leg is attached to the torso. The leg includes feet, which can be part of a single building or a separate building, attached to the leg opposite the hip of the torso where the leg attaches.
[0026] As used herein the term "torso" refers to the body of the robot as shown in the example figures, which can be made of one or more buildings or pieces of buildings arranged as a robot torso, including shoulders, breast plates and the like.
[0027] As used herein the term "head" refers to a robot head comprising one or more multistory buildings or pieces of buildings shaped to form a robot head. In one embodiment buildings, or pieces thereof, can be utilized for robot accessories, such as boots, hats, etc.
[0028] As used herein, the phrase "multistory toy building" refers to buildings greater than one story, such as skyscrapers or smaller buildings, as shown in the figures and examples. These buildings can be toy size, or any size, and can be in a cartoon toy manner or in a buildable toy manner.
[0029] As used herein the phrase "toy robot" refers to a toy of any size which has a humanoid shape, including arms, legs, head, and torso, but, while having a humanoid appearance, is not a human, but rather, made of buildings.
[0030] As used herein the phrase "transformational manner" refers to the abilities of the plurality of multistory toy buildings to be gathered together and interconnect to form a robot. One skilled in the art for building toy robots could adapt toy buildings to connect to one another by the manner known in the art for toy robots, thus adapting the toy buildings with connections, devices or means.
[0031] As used herein the phrase "city manner" refers to the multistory toy buildings being arranged in a manner such that the collection looks like a city with many multistory buildings, such as along a toy street, in a skyline, or the like. The buildings can then be assembled in a transformational manner from city manner to toy robot. In other embodiments, the buildings are just separate buildings.
[0032] Now referring to the Drawings, FIG. 1 is a toy robot made of multistory buildings. It consists of a robot 1 with arms 2, legs 3, torso 4, head 5, and accessories 8, including accessory boots 7, which, assembled together, form a robot made of multistory buildings 6.
