Patent application title: Soccer Boot

Inventors:  Tonny Lukongwa (Everett, WA, US)  Elias Asberry (Mill Creek, WA, US)
IPC8 Class: AA43B326FI
USPC Class: 36 97
Class name: Boots, shoes, and leggings boots and shoes with adjustment of shoe size
Publication date: 2015-12-10
Patent application number: 20150351487

Abstract:

The invention is a soccer boot adapted by the movement of a player's foot to provide a full spectrum of boot positions for better performance on the soccer field with three identified positions: an outsole neutral position, an outsole up position and an outsole down position. The unique components of the boot are a plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles and a plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles. The outsole neutral position is naturally selected by the player foot by partially straightening the plurality of vamp wrinkles and simultaneously partially straightening the outsole wrinkles. The outsole up position is naturally selected by the player foot by fully buckling the vamp wrinkles and fully stretching the outsole wrinkles. The outsole down position is naturally selected by the player foot by fully stretching the vamp wrinkles and fully buckling the outsole wrinkles.

Claims:

1. A soccer boot with a three motion sole comprising a plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles and a plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles wherein the three motion sole is selected by a player foot.

2. The soccer boot according to claim 1 where an outsole neutral position is selected by the player foot by partially straightening the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles and simultaneously partially straightening the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles.

3. The soccer boot according to claim 1 where an outsole up position is selected by the player foot by fully buckling the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles and fully stretching the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles.

4. The soccer boot according to claim 1 where an outsole down position is selected by the player foot by fully stretching the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles and fully buckling the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles.

5. The soccer boot according to claim 1 where a full spectrum of outsole positions are selected by the player by the player flexing their foot between the outsole up position and outsole down position.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0004] This invention relates to footwear by a player worn during soccer training, soccer games and other sports.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] This invention pertains to a right and left soccer boot that has dual sets (upper and lower) of wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles corresponding with three identified ranges on a boot outsole configuration spectrum: 1) Outsole Neutral Position, 2) Outsole Up Position, and 3) Outsole Down Position.

[0006] These deformable portions of the boot permit bending of the forefoot relative to the rest of the boot to change the length and shape of the forefoot in order to allow a sports player to achieve maximum results in sports where boots are the player's tools, aiding the user in finding and using the sweet spots of the boot to improve precision, trapping, holding and velocity. The invention allows a user's foot and boot to better approximate the natural flexibility of bare feet as opposed to rigid shoes/boots that limit a player's ability to use the natural flexibility of their feet.

[0007] Traditional prior art shoes (FIG. 1) with inflexible soles and inflexible uppers limit a user's kicking velocity because the user's distal forefoot (or toe section) is the primary kicking surface which is limited in shape, hardness and texture and therefore limited in the potential for precision, trapping and holding and velocity.

[0008] Although the right soccer boot is shown in the drawings, a stereo image left boot is also claimed.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING

[0009] FIG. 1 is a traditional prior art soccer shoe.

[0010] FIG. 2 is a left side view of a right soccer boot in the outsole neutral position.

[0011] FIG. 3 is a bottom view of a right soccer boot in the outsole neutral position.

[0012] FIG. 4 is a top view of a right soccer boot in the outsole neutral position.

[0013] FIG. 5 is a front view of a right soccer boot in the outsole neutral position.

[0014] FIG. 6 is a back view of a right soccer boot in the outsole neutral position.

[0015] FIG. 7 is a right side view of a right soccer boot in the outsole neutral position.

[0016] FIG. 8 is a left side view of a right soccer boot in outsole up position.

[0017] FIG. 9 is a left side view of the right soccer boot in outsole down position.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0018] The invention is a right and left soccer boot 10 with a plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 14 and a plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 12 (see FIG. 2-7). These wrinkles flex with a player's foot to allow a spectrum of sole positions for improved ball handling. The boot 10 adjusts between a neutral (FIG. 2-7), an up (FIG. 8) and a down (FIG. 9) position and the ranges between these positions.

[0019] The soccer boot 10 neutral position (FIG. 2-7) is where an outsole neutral position is selected by the player foot by adjusting the player's foot to partially straightening the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 14 and simultaneously partially straightening the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 12.

[0020] The soccer boot outsole up position is selected by the player's foot by fully buckling the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 14 and fully stretching the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 12.

[0021] The soccer boot outsole down position is selected by the player's foot by fully stretching the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 14 and fully buckling the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 12.

[0022] A full spectrum of outsole positions between the outsole up and outsole down positions are selected by the player flexing their foot with the boot following the movement of the foot selectively stretching and buckling the plurality of vamp upper wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 14 and the plurality of outsole wavy sinusoidal preformed expandable wrinkles 12.
