Abstract:
The high flow water return fitting of the present invention is designed
to connect directly to the end of a water return pipe in a swimming pool,
spa, or the like. Water return fittings have been available for many
years and have the primary purpose of returning filtered water back into
a swimming pool, spa, or the like. However, the water return fitting of
the present invention does not only return water into the swimming pool,
spa, or the like, it also redirects the water outflow above the water
surface, producing a fountain of pressure regulated airborne stream of
aeriated water, substantially increases the area of water in the pool
that can be circulated or agitated,Claims:
1. A water return fitting that connects to a water return line of a
swimming pool, spa, or the like, redirecting the water outflow above the
water surface, producing a fountain of pressure regulated, aeriated
water, substantially increases the area of water in the pool that can be
circulated or agitated, and comprising of: A mounting ring with grooves
and threads ("Mount Ring"), said mounting ring connector having a front
end and a back end and that is in physical connection with said water
return line, and that is in fluid communication with said water return
line. A tube with threads and grooves ("Retaining Tube"), said tube
connector having a front end and a back end and that is in physical
connection with said mounting ring, and that is in fluid communication
with said water return line. A tube with locking clips ("Mount Clip"),
said mount clip connector having a front end and a back end and that is
in physical connection with said mounting ring and retaining tube. A
curved perforated tube with threads and grooves ("Lower Tube"), said
lower tube connector having a front end and a back end and that is in
physical connection with retaining tube and mount clip, and that is in
fluid communication with said water return line. A perforated tube
("Bypass Tube"), said perforated tube having a front end and a back end,
and that is in physical connection with lower tube. A retention ring with
threads and grooves ("Lower Ring"), said lower ring having a front end
and a back end, and that is in physical connection with lower tube and
bypass tube. A tube with threads and grooves ("Upper Tube"), said upper
tube having a front end and a back end and that is in physical connection
with said lower tube, upper ring, and head, and that is in fluid
communication with said water return line. A retention ring with threads
and grooves ("Upper Ring"), said upper ring having a front end and a back
end and that is in physical connection with said upper tube, and head. A
curved tube with threads and grooves ("Head"), said head having a front
end and a back end, and that is in physical connection with extension
tube and curved tube, and that is in fluid communication with said water
return line. A tube with threads and grooves ("Stream Nozzle"), said
stream nozzle having a front end and a back end and that is in physical
connection with said head, and that is in fluid communication with said
water return line. A curved tube with threads, grooves, and a light
emitting within the center of the tube ("lighted Head"), said lighted
head interchangeable with the head of the water return fitting, having a
front end and a back end, and that is in physical connection with
extension tube and curved tube, and that is in fluid communication with
said water return line. A tube with threads, grooves, and multiple
perforations ("Shower Nozzle"), said shower nozzle interchangeable with
the stream nozzle of the water return fitting having a front end and a
back end and that is in physical connection with said head, and that is
in fluid communication with said water return line. A tube with threads,
grooves, and oblong contour ("Blade Nozzle"), said blade nozzle
interchangeable with the stream nozzle of the water return fitting having
a front end and a back end and that is in physical connection with said
head, and that is in fluid communication with said water return line.
2. A water return fitting that connects to a water return line of a swimming pool, spa, or the like according to claim 1 wherein said head is rotatable attached such that said head can rotate 360 degrees relative to upper tube.
3. A water return fitting that connects to a water return line of a swimming pool, spa, or the like according to claim 1 wherein said perforated tubes are encased within one another and alignment allows for the adjustment of water pressure exiting the water return fitting, thus adjusting the distance angle and height.
4. A water return fitting that connects to a water return line of a swimming pool, spa, or the like according to claim 1 wherein said lower tube is adjustable to 360 degrees relative to mount ring
5. A water return fitting that connects to a water return line of a swimming pool, spa, or the like according to claim 1 wherein said nozzle, said lock nut, and said tubular connector are made of a plastic material.
Description:
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention is a water return fitting that connects to the end of a water return line in a swimming pool, spa, or the like and through which filtered water is pumped back into the swimming pool, spa, or the like. A unique curved pressure adjustable tube operates in conjunction with a adjustable head and various nozzle to produce a fountain of aeriated water into the swimming pool, spa, or the like.
[0002] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a detachable fitting to allow ease of mounting and providing disconnection when minimal force is applied to the return fitting preventing a safety hazard to swimmers.
[0003] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a water return fitting that can rotate 360 degrees
[0004] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a water return fitting with a nozzle that can rotate 360 degrees.
[0005] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a pressure regulation method via the perforated tube and sleeve alignment.
[0006] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a water return fitting that is length adjustable enabling the nozzle to protrude above the water surface regardless of the distance from the water return line and the water surface.
[0007] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a water return fitting that is easy to install into the end of a water return line and is manufactured out of plastic material to reduce cost and eliminate risk of corrosion.
[0008] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a water return fitting with multiple parts that can be easily assembled correctly without the need of special tools or equipment.
[0009] The above objects and other features of the present invention, as well as the structure and operation of various embodiments of the present invention, are described in detail below and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
