Abstract:
A bed for a doll including: mattress board; a headboard fixed to a first
end of the mattress board and including first and second buttons and an
image of a clock; a footboard fixed to a second end of the mattress
board; at least one speaker; and at least one audio device configured to
store a plurality of musical recordings. In response to receipt of a
first signal from the first button, the at least one audio device is
configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one first
musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings. In
response to receipt of a second signal from the second button, the audio
device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one
second musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings.Claims:
1. A bed for a doll, comprising: a mattress board; a headboard fixed to a
first end of the mattress board and including: first and second buttons;
and, an image of a clock; a footboard fixed to a second end of the
mattress board; at least one speaker; and, at least one audio device
configured to store a plurality of musical recordings, wherein: in
response to receipt of a first signal from the first button, the at least
one audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at
least one first musical recording included in the plurality of musical
recordings; and, in response to receipt of a second signal from the
second button, the audio device is configured to play, via the at least
one speaker, at least one second musical recording included in the
plurality of musical recordings.
2. The bed of claim 1, further comprising first and second sideboards fixed to, or fixable to: the mattress board; or the headboard; or the footboard.
3. The bed of claim 1, wherein: the first button includes first indicia indicating a condition related to entering a state of sleep; and, the second button includes second indicia indicating a condition related to entering a waking state.

The bed of claim 3, wherein: the at least one audio device includes a first audio device storing a plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep; and, in response to the receipt of the first signal, the first audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, a first musical recording from the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep.
5. The bed of claim 4, wherein in response to the receipt of the first signal, the first audio device is configured to: randomly select the first musical recording; or, select the first musical recording according to a sequence of previously played musical recordings included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep.

The bed of claim 3, wherein: the at least one audio device includes a first audio device storing a plurality of musical recordings related to entering the waking state; and, in response to the receipt of the second signal, the first audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, a first musical recording from the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the waking state.

The bed of claim 6, wherein in response to the receipt of the second signal, the first audio device is configured to: randomly select the first musical recording; or, select the first musical recording according to a sequence of previously played musical recordings included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the waking state.
8. A bed for a doll, comprising: a mattress board; a headboard fixed to, or fixable to, a first end of the mattress board and including: first and second buttons; and, an image of a clock; a footboard fixed to, or fixable to, a second end of the mattress board; at least one speaker; at least one audio device configured to store: a plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of sleep; and, plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of waking, wherein: in response to receipt of a first signal from the first button, the at least one audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one first musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of sleep; and, in response to receipt of a second signal from the second button, the audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one second musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of waking.
9. The bed of claim 8, further comprising first and second sideboards fixed to, or fixable to: the mattress board; or the headboard; or the footboard.
10. The bed of claim 8, wherein: the first button includes first indicia indicating a condition related to entering the state of sleep; and, the second button includes second indicia indicating a condition related to entering the waking state.
11. The bed of claim 10, wherein the at least one audio device includes a first audio device storing the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep.

The bed of claim 11, wherein in response to the receipt of the first signal, the first audio device is configured to: randomly select the at least one first musical recording; or, select the at least one first musical recording according to a sequence of previously played musical recordings included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep.
13. The bed of claim 10, wherein the at least one audio device includes a first audio device storing the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the waking state.

The bed of claim 13, wherein in response to the receipt of the second signal, the first audio device is configured to: randomly select the at least one second musical recording; or, select the at least one second musical recording according to a sequence of previously played musical recordings included in the plurality of musical recordings related to the waking state.

A bed for a doll, comprising: a mattress board; a headboard fixed to a first end of the mattress board and including: first button including first indicia indicating a condition related to entering the state of sleep; and, a second button including second indicia indicating a condition related to entering the waking state; and, an image of a clock; a footboard fixed to a second end of the mattress board; at least one speaker; at least one audio device configured to store: a plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of sleep; and, plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of waking, wherein: in response to receipt of a first signal from the first button, the at least one audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one first musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of sleep; and, in response to receipt of a second signal from the second button, the audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one second musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering a state of waking.
16. The bed of claim 15, further comprising first and second sideboards fixed to, or fixable to: the mattress board; or the headboard; or the footboard.
17. The bed of claim 15, wherein the at least one audio device includes a first audio device storing the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep.

The bed of claim 17, wherein in response to the receipt of the first signal, the first audio device is configured to: randomly select the at least one first musical recording; or, select the at least one first musical recording according to a sequence of previously played musical recordings included in the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep.
19. The bed of claim 15, wherein the at least one audio device includes a first audio device storing the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the waking state.

The bed of claim 19, wherein in response to the receipt of the second signal, the first audio device is configured to: randomly select the at least one second musical recording; or, select the at least one second musical recording according to a sequence of previously played musical recordings included in the plurality of musical recordings related to the waking state.

TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a bed or cradle for a doll including at least one audio device and at least one speaker and buttons to play musical recordings, stored in the at least one audio device, related to falling asleep or awakening.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Bed or cradles for dolls are known. However, known beds or cradles have limited interactivity elements.
SUMMARY
[0003] According to aspects illustrated herein, there is provided a bed or cradle for a doll, including: a mattress board; a headboard fixed to a first end of the mattress board and including first and second buttons and an image of a clock; a footboard fixed to a second end of the mattress board; at least one speaker; and at least one audio device configured to store a plurality of musical recordings. In response to receipt of a first signal from the first button, the at least one audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one first musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings. In response to receipt of a second signal from the second button, the audio device is configured to play, via the at least one speaker, at least one second musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings.

The discussion that follows is directed to a musical doll bed; however, it should be understood that the discussion is applicable to a musical doll cradle as well. Bed 100 includes mattress board 102, headboard 104, footboard 106, sideboards 108, at least one speaker 110, and at least one audio device 112. Unless noted otherwise, the discussion that follows is directed to a single speaker 110. Unless noted otherwise, the discussion that follows is directed to a single audio device 112. In an example embodiment, the headboard and foot board are fixed to ends 114 and 116, respectively, of the mattress board. In an example embodiment, the headboard and foot board are separate from the mattress board and are fixable to ends 114 and 116, respectively, of the mattress board. In an example embodiment, the side boards are fixed to some or all of the mattress board, the headboard, and the footboard. In an example embodiment, the side boards are separate from the mattress board, the headboard and the footboard and are fixable to some or all of the mattress board, the headboard, and the footboard.
[0020] Headboard 104 includes buttons 118 and 120 and image 122 of a clock. Audio device 112 is configured to store a plurality of musical recordings. In response to receipt of a signal from button 118, for example button 118 is pushed to generate the signal, audio device 112 is configured to play, via speaker 110, at least one musical recording included in the plurality of musical recordings. In response to receipt of a signal from button 120, for example button 120 is pushed to generate the signal, audio device 112 is configured to play, via speaker 110, at least one musical recording, different from the recording played in response to the signal from button 118, included in the plurality of musical recordings. Buttons 118 and 120 can be any buttons known in the art.
[0021] In an example embodiment, button 118 includes indicia 124 indicating a condition related to entering a state of sleep. For example, button 118 is labelled "Sleep." In an example embodiment, button 120 includes indicia 126 indicating a condition related to a waking state. For example, button 120 is labelled "Wake Up."

In an example embodiment, the at least one speaker 110 includes speakers 110A and 110B and the at least one audio device includes audio devices 112A and 112B. Audio device 112A is configured to store a plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep and audio device 112B is configured to store a plurality of musical recordings related entering the waking state. In response to the receipt of the signal from button 118, audio device 112A is configured to play, via speaker 110A, a musical recording from the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the state of sleep. In response to the receipt of the signal from button 120, audio device 112B is configured to play, via speaker 110B, a musical recording from the plurality of musical recordings related to entering the waking state. In an example embodiment, wires 127 connect buttons 118 and 120 to devices 112A and 112B, respectively.

Bed 100 is not limited to a specific size, shape, or configuration. For example, bed 100 is not limited to particular colors, patterns, cut-outs, sculpted components, engravings, or other decorative features. Bed 100 is not limited to a particular material of construction or materials of construction. For example, metal, wood, plywood, composite materials, plastic, or cloth can be used as appropriate. The mattress board, headboard, footboard, and sideboards can be fastened together by any means known in the art, including, but not limited to adhesives or threaded fasteners. In an example embodiment, portions of bed 100 designated for receiving threaded fasteners are reinforced.
[0029] In an example embodiment, the headboard, the footboard, or the sideboards are decorated by painting, cut-outs, sculptured, engraved, or flashing elements. In an example embodiment, headboard 102 includes two layers with inner symmetrical grooves to accommodate wires 127 connecting buttons 118 and 120 to devices 112A and 112B, respectively.
[0030] In an example embodiment, the mattress board includes central stiffening rib 130, which reinforces the mattress board. In an example embodiment, the mattress board includes housing 132 for device 112.
