Abstract:
A shaping shirt for wear with a blazer appears to be multiple shirts in a
single garment. The shirt is fitted to the user's body and concealing
imperfections, providing a slimmer, more comfortable fit without the
bulky layers. The shirt has the appearance of multiple shirts, is
comfortable and provides body shaping and an aesthetically pleasing
appearance.Claims:
1. A shaping shirt comprising a shirt; said shirt having a collar; said
shirt having a front button closure; and said shirt having an integral
crotch.
2. The shaping shirt of claim 1 wherein said shirt applies shaping to its underarm region.
3. The shaping shirt of claim 1 wherein said shirt applies shaping to its sides region.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The invention relates generally to women's garments, and in particular to a shaping shirt for wear with a blazer. Many women wear shirts with blazers, but have upper bodies with problem areas, are less than satisfied with the bulky look that often results from wearing a blazer which can be highlight body imperfections. A shaping shirt for wear with a blazer, which is contoured and fitted closely to the shape of the woman's body and conceals imperfections, would resolve this problem.

[0006] Accordingly, the invention is directed to a shaping shirt for wear with a blazer. The shirt is closely contoured and fitted to the user's body and conceals imperfections, providing a slimmer, more comfortable fit without the bulky layers. The shirt has the appearance of multiple shirts, is comfortable and provides body shaping and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0010] Referring now to the invention in more detail, the invention is directed to a shaping shirt 10 for wear with a blazer. The shirt 10 is closely contoured and fitted to the user's body and conceals imperfections, providing a slimmer, more comfortable fit without the bulky layers. The shirt 10 provides the appearance of wearing multiple shirts in a single garment. The shirt 10 is comfortable and provides body shaping and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
[0011] The first exemplary embodiment features an otherwise conventional shirt 10, providing a collar 11 and buttons down the front to the waist, secured at the crotch 13 by small, comfortable snaps. The shirt 10 provides a medium to firm shaping function for the underarm region, sides region, abdomen region, hips region, and buttocks region. An alternate embodiment, providing a built-in brassiere, is contemplated.
[0012] To use the first exemplary embodiment, the user pulls the shirt 10 down over the head, buttons up the buttons 12, and closes the snaps in the crotch.
[0013] The shirt 10 is preferably manufactured from a flexible, durable fabric which is elastic and machine washable, such as latex or a polyurethane-polyurea copolymer such as elastane. Components, component sizes, and materials listed above are preferable, but artisans will recognize that alternate components and materials could be selected without altering the scope of the invention.
