Abstract:
A strip foam floor mat includes a rectangular main body with two long
sides and two short sides, and each side has plural complementarily
shaped first convex teeth and first notches disposed apart from one
another, a pair of complementarily shaped second convex tooth and second
notch disposed at each corner at both ends of each side, and a pair of
complementarily shaped third convex tooth and third notch disposed
adjacent to each other and at positions of the multiple length of the
short side along each long side, and the third convex tooth is in the
same protruding shape of the second convex tooth when the two main bodies
are spliced, and the third notch is the same concave shape of the
adjacent second notch when the two main bodies are spliced.Claims:
1. A strip foam floor mat, comprising: a rectangular main body, including
two long sides and two short sides, and the long side having a length
equal to a multiple of the length of the short side, and the multiple
being at least three; a plurality of first convex teeth and first
notches, disposed with an interval apart from one another on each of the
long sides and short sides, and their concave and convex shapes being
complementary to one another; a second convex tooth and a second notch,
disposed at four corners of the main body and at both ends of each of the
long sides and short sides, and the second convex tooth of each long side
is disposed immediately next to the second notch of the adjacent short
side, and the second convex tooth of each long side is disposed away from
the second convex tooth of the adjacent short side, and the concave and
convex shapes of each second convex tooth and each second notch being
complementary to each other; and a third convex tooth and a third notch,
disposed at positions of the multiple length of the short side along each
long side and immediately next to each other, and the concave and convex
shapes of each third convex tooth and each third notch being
complementary to each other, and the third convex tooth being in the same
shape as that of the protruding second convex tooth when splicing the
second convex teeth of the two main bodies, and the third notch being in
the same shape as that of the concave adjacent second notch when splicing
the second convex teeth of the two main bodies.
2. The strip foam floor mat of claim 1, wherein each of the first convex teeth has a bevel expanded outwardly from a root portion on both sides of each first convex tooth respectively, and ends of the two bevels are cut and aligned precisely with each other to form a plane.

The strip foam floor mat of claim 1, wherein one side of each second convex tooth has a first bevel expanded outwardly from a root portion, and the other side of said each second convex has a relatively shorter second bevel expanded outwardly from a root portion, and a third bevel retracted at an acute angle from the second bevel, and ends of the first bevel and the third bevel are cut and aligned precisely with each other to form a plane.
4. The strip foam floor mat of claim 1, wherein one side of each third convex tooth has a first bevel expanded outwardly from a root portion, and the other side of said each third convex tooth has a third bevel retracted from a root portion, and ends of the first bevel and the second bevel are cut and aligned precisely to form a plane.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a foam floor mat, in particular to the strip foam floor mat that can be spliced in different patterns.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] With reference to FIG. 8 for a conventional foam floor mat, the foam floor mat comprises a main body 9 in a square shape, and four sides 91, each having a plurality of first teeth 92 and a plurality of corresponding first notches 93 with concave and convex shapes corresponding to one another, and both ends of each side 91 also have a second tooth 94 and a second notch 95 at the positions of four corners of the main body 9. If two main bodies 9 are spliced, the plurality of first teeth 92 on the side 91 of one of the main bodies 9 are spliced and combined with the plurality of first notches 93 on the side 91 of the other main body 9, and their concave and convex shapes are matched with one another, and the second tooth 94 at a side corner of a main body 9 is spliced with the second notch 95 at a side corner of the other main body 9, and their concave and convex shapes are matched with one another, so that a flat floor mat can be assembled in a predetermined area.
[0003] When the aforementioned main bodies 9 are spliced, the first tooth 92 and the first notch 93 of the two main bodies 9 must be aligned precisely with each other and the second tooth 94 must be aligned precisely with the second notch 95 before the side 91 of one of the main bodies 9 can be combined with the side 91 of the other main body by the precise-alignment splicing method. Obviously, the conventional structure of the main bodies 9 just provides a splicing method for one pattern only and fails to provide a change of patterns through the splicing method. Besides the limited splicing patterns, the appearance of the conventional foam floor mat shows different decorative effects by means of lines and colors on the surfaces of the main bodies 9 only. Obviously, the conventional foam floor mat requires improvements, and it is a main subject of the present invention to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks of the conventional foam floor mat.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0004] Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art by providing a strip foam floor mat, wherein the structure of a main body having first convex teeth and first notches, second convex teeth and second notches, and third convex teeth and third notches can splice main bodies into different patterns, so that the spliced floor mat can have different patterns.
[0005] To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides a strip foam floor mat comprising a rectangular main body, and the main body includes two long sides and two short sides, wherein the long side has a length which is equal to a multiple of the length of the short side, and the multiple is at least three; each of the long sides and short sides has a plurality of first convex teeth and first notches, each disposed with an interval apart from each other and their concave and convex shapes are complementary to each other; a second convex tooth and a second notch are disposed at positions of four corners at each of both ends of each long side and each short side of the main body, and the second convex tooth of each long side is disposed at a position immediately next to the second notch of the adjacent short side, and the second convex tooth of each long side is disposed at a position away from the second convex tooth of the adjacent short side, and the concave and convex shapes of each second convex tooth and each second notch are complementary to each other, and each long side has a third convex tooth and a third notch disposed immediately next to each other and at positions along the section of the multiple length of the short side, and the concave and convex shapes of each third convex tooth and each third notch are complementary to each other, and the third convex tooth is in the same shape as that of the protruding second convex tooth when the two main bodies are spliced, and the third notch is in the same shape as that of the recessed adjacent second notch when the second convex teeth of the two main bodies are spliced.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0015] The aforementioned and other objectives and advantages of the present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of an illustrative embodiment of this invention described in connection with the drawings. It is intended that the embodiments and drawings disclosed herein are to be considered illustrative rather than restrictive.
[0016] With reference to FIGS. 1 to 7 for a strip foam floor mat in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the strip foam floor mat as shown in FIG. 1 comprises a rectangular main body 1, wherein the main body 1 as shown in FIG. 1 includes two long sides 11 and two short sides 12, and the long side 11 has a length equal to a multiple of the length of the short side 12, and the multiple is at least three. In this preferred embodiment, the length of the long side 11 is three times of the length of the short side 12.
[0017] In FIG. 1, each of the long sides 11 and the short sides 12 has a plurality of first convex teeth 2 and a plurality of first notches 3, each being disposed with an interval apart from one another. In this preferred embodiment, each of the first convex teeth 2 has two bevels 22 expanded outwardly from two root portions 21 on both sides of the first convex tooth respectively, and ends of the two bevels 22 are aligned precisely with each other to form a plane 23, and the first notch 3 is in a shape corresponding to the first convex tooth 2, and the concave and convex shapes of the two are complementary to each other.
[0018] In FIG. 1, a second convex tooth 4 and a second notch 5 are formed at each of four corners at both ends of each long side 11 and each short side 12 of the main body 1, and the second convex tooth 4 of each long side 11 is disposed immediately next to the second notch 5 of the adjacent short side 12, and the second convex tooth 4 of each long side 11 is disposed far away from the second convex tooth 4 of the adjacent short side 12. In this preferred embodiment, one side of each second convex tooth 4 has a first bevel 42 expanded outwardly from a root portion 41, and the other side of each second convex tooth 4 has a relatively shorter second bevel 43 expanded outwardly from a root portion 41, and a third bevel 44 retracted at an acute angle from the second bevel 43, and ends of the first bevel 42 and the third bevel 44 are cut and aligned precisely with each other to form a plane 45, and each second notch 5 is in a shape corresponding to the shape of the second convex tooth 4, and the concave and convex shapes are complementary to each other.
[0019] In FIG. 1, each long side 11 has a third convex tooth 6 and a third notch 7 disposed immediately next to each other and at positions along the segments of the multiple length of the short side 12. In this preferred embodiment, a first bevel 62 expanded outwardly from a root portion 61 is disposed on one side of each third convex tooth 6, and a retracted third bevel 63 having a root portion 61 is disposed on the other side of each third convex tooth 6, and ends of the first bevel 62 and the second bevel 63 are cut and aligned precisely with each other to form a plane 64, and the concave and convex shapes of each third notch 7 and each third convex tooth 6 are complementary to each other. The aforementioned positions of the segments of the multiple length of the short side 12 on each long side 11 refers to the joint positions between the segments with a length equal to the length of the short sides 12. For example, the length of the long side 11 of this preferred embodiment is divided into three segments, and each segment is equal to the length of the short side 12, and there are two joint positions between these three segments, and the third convex tooth 6 and the third notch 7 are disposed immediately next to each other and at the joint positions.
[0020] In FIG. 2, when the second convex teeth 4 of the two main bodies 1 are spliced, the protruding shape (which is the shape of the convex tooth 6A in the figure) is the same as the shape of the third convex tooth 6. When the second convex teeth 6 of the two main bodies 1 are spliced, the concave shape of the adjacent second notch 5 (which is the shape of the notch 7A in the figure) is the same as the shape of the third notch 7.
[0021] Therefore, the long side 11 and the long side 11 of the main bodies 1 can be cut and aligned precisely with each other, and the short side 12 and the short side 12 can be spliced by the precise-alignment method. Alternatively, the main bodies 1 can be spliced to produce a floor mat by arranging the long side 11 and the long side 11 transversally and alternately as shown in FIG. 3 and similar to the splicing method used for assembling wooden floors.
[0022] In FIG. 4, if the surfaces of the main bodies 1 come with different colors; for example, the surface color of the main body 1A is the darkest, the surface color of the main body 1B comes next, and the surface color of the main body 1C is the lightest, then a prominent decorative effect can be achieved by precisely aligning the long sides 11 and precisely aligning the short sides 12, even without adopting the aforementioned alternate splicing method.
[0023] In view of the description above, the present invention has the following advantages. A third convex tooth 6 and a third notch 7 are disposed at positions of the multiple length of the short side 11 along the long side 11 and capable of forming a protruding shape (which is the shape of the convex tooth 6A) after the second convex teeth 4 of the two main bodies 1 are spliced, and the concave shape (which is the shape of the notch 7A) of the adjacent second notch 5, and the concave and convex shapes are matched with each other, so that the invention can provides various combinations of the main bodies 1 by an alternate splicing method. Compared with the main bodies of the conventional floor mat, the invention offers a change of different patterns. Even if the side-by-side alignment method is adopted for splicing the main bodies, the change of lines and patterns on the surfaces of the main bodies also provides a diversified decorative effect.
[0024] Of course, the present invention still has many embodiments with major modifications or changes. With reference to FIG. 5 for a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, the main body 1D also has two long sides 11D and 12D and a first convex tooth 2D and a first notch 3D, a second convex tooth 4D and a second notch 5D, a third convex tooth 6D and a third notch 7D (similar to the first preferred embodiment), and the difference between the first and second preferred embodiments resides on that the long side 11 of this preferred embodiment has a length equal to four times of the length of the short side 12.
[0025] In FIG. 6, the main body 1D of this preferred embodiment can be spliced by the transverse alternate method, or the main body 1D as shown in FIG. 7 can be spliced by the transverse/longitudinal splicing method (unlike the method as shown in FIG. 6, or the main body 1E, main body 1F, main body 1G and main body 1G as shown in FIG. 8 have increasingly lighter surface colors respectively, and these main bodies 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H can be spliced by the side-by-side alignment method to achieve the same effect as the first preferred embodiment.
