Abstract:

A fan assembly includes a fan and a number of airflow guiding members. The fan includes an end board on which a number of airflow guides may be pivoted out to a horizontal position by airflow pressure but which fall back to a vertical position when the fan is not working, to effectively seal the vent when an airflow is not present.

Claims:

1. A fan assembly, comprising: a fan comprising an end board; the end board comprising two parallel end walls facing away from each other, the end walls defining a plurality of installing holes; and a plurality of guiding members, each guiding member comprising a plate, two arms slantingly extending up and rearward from opposite ends of a top side of the plate, and two pins extending from inner surfaces of the arms, wherein the two pins of each guiding member are pivotably inserted into two of the installing holes respectively in the two end walls and aligning with each other.

Description:

BACKGROUND

[0001] 1. Technical Field

[0002] The present disclosure relates to a fan assembly.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] Airflow guiding pieces mounted to fans often need to be mounted to frames first, and then the frames are mounted to the fans, thereby mounting the guiding pieces to the fans. However, the frames are costly and occupy space.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0005] Many aspects of the present embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, all the views are schematic, and like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.

[0006] FIG. 1 is an exploded, isometric view of an embodiment of a fan assembly.

[0007] FIGS. 2 and 3 are assembled, isometric views of the fan assembly of FIG. 1, but showing different using states.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0008] The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to "an" or "one" embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean "at least one."

[0009] Referring to FIG. 1, an embodiment of a fan assembly includes a fan 10 and a plurality of guiding members 20 for guiding airflow of the fan 10.

[0010] The fan 10 includes an end board 12 including two parallel end walls 14. The end walls 14 face away from each other. Each end wall 14 defines a plurality of installing holes 16. The end board 12 defines a vent 18 in a center portion.

[0011] Each guiding member 20 includes a plate 22, two arms 24 slantingly extending up and rearward from opposite ends of a side of the plate 22, and two pins 26 extending toward each other from inner surfaces of the arms 24.

[0012] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, in assembly, the pins 26 of each guiding member 20 are pivotably inserted into two aligned installing holes 16 respectively in the two end walls 14, to pivotably mount the guiding member 20 to the fan 10.

[0013] When the fan 10 is operating, airflow of the fan 10 will force the rotation of the plates 22 away from the end board 12, until the top sides of the plates 22 abut the end board 12. At this time, the plates 22 are perpendicular to the end board 12, to wholly expose the vent 18.

[0014] When the fan 10 stops operating, the plates 22 will fall under gravity, to be parallel to the end board 12 and cover the vent 18, for preventing any airflow in a reverse direction.

[0015] It is believed that the present embodiments and their advantages will be understood from the foregoing description, and various changes may be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the description or sacrificing all of their material advantages, the examples hereinbefore described merely being exemplary embodiments.
