A connection system for screwable covers is described, comprising at least one screwable cover (1) for closing a bottle containing a fluid product, such cover (1) being composed of at least one counter-cover (3) and at least one external shell (5), such counter-cover being adapted to be connected to such shell (5), such counter-cover (3) being equipped, on its perimeter and externally, with a plurality of first radially arranged engaging teeth (9) and such external shell (5) being equipped with at least one seat (11) for inserting such counter-cover (3).

Claims:

1-4. (canceled)

5. A connection system for screwable covers comprising at least one screwable cover for closing a bottle containing a fluid product, the cover being composed of at least one counter-cover and of at least one external shell, the counter-cover being adapted to be connected to such shell, the counter-cover being equipped, on its perimeter and externally, with a plurality of first, radially arranged, engaging teeth, the external shell being equipped with at least one seat for inserting the counter-cover, wherein the seat is equipped, on its perimeter and internally, with a plurality of second, radially arranged, engaging teeth having complementary shapes with the first engaging teeth.

6. The connecting system of claim 5, wherein the first engaging teeth and the second engaging teeth are made as a profile with sawteeth arranged with opposite orientations, a slanted side of the sawteeth profile of the first engaging teeth being oriented along an opposite direction with respect to an unscrewing direction of the external shell.

7. The connecting system of claim 5, wherein the counter-cover and the seat are engaged one inside the other by interposing interference-type connecting means.

8. The connecting system of claim 7, wherein the connecting means comprise at least one rib arranged on its perimeter around the seat and at least one corresponding groove arranged on its perimeter around the counter-cover, the groove being adapted to house therein the rib.

Description:

[0001] The present invention refers to a connection system for screwable covers.

[0002] Several applications are known, in which an external shell is placed as closure of a container containing therein a particularly viscous and/or sugar-type fluid, in such a way as to cause a gluing of such cover onto the screwing neck of such container. If, as known in the art, such screwable covers are composed of an external shell and an internal counter-cover, the above gluing, upon unscrewing the cover, could cause the detachment between the external shell and the counter-cover preventing a correct opening of the container.

[0003] A non-limiting example of the above application is given by bottles of nail enamel.

[0004] In fact, classical brushes are known in the art, adapted to allow applying on the nails a fluid product, such as an enamel or a drug, contained inside a related bottle, such brush being usually integral with the external shell of the bottle itself in such a way that at least its bristles remain immersed in the fluid when such cover is screwed onto such bottle.

[0005] Generally, the brush is connected to the external shell, by interposing the stem, by means of an undercut snap-type hook or through screwing: examples of such connections are also disclosed in GB918901, EP1733644, EP2123187, EP1504691, DE10229693, US2002090249, WO8804148. Such coupling solution however still has the problema that the sealing cone arranged around the stem gets glued onto the bottle neck, detaching the brush from the cover when this latter one is unscrewed.

[0006] Obviosuly, similar problems are present in any other container containing fluids with the same features, such as fruit juices, beverages, etc.

[0007] Object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a connection system for covers that prevents the accidental detachment of the external shell from the counter-cover when unscrewing the cover itself.

[0008] The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained with a connection system for covers as claimed in claim 1.

[0009] Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

[0010] It is clear that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.

[0011] It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) could be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention, as appears from the enclosed claims.

[0012] The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:

[0013] FIG. 1a shows a side sectional view of the connection system for covers according to the present invention;

[0014] FIG. 1b shows an enlarged view of a detail of the connection system for covers according to the present invention contained in box A of FIG. 1a; and

[0015] FIG. 2 shows a sectional plan view of the coupling of Figure la between the counter-cover and the external shell of the connecting system according to the present invention.

[0016] With reference to the Figures, it is possible to note that the connecting system according to the present invention comprises at least one screwable cover 1 composed of at least one external shell 5 and at least one counter-cover 3 adapted to be connected to such shell 5, such shell 5 being equipped with screwing-type connecting means 6 to corresponding means arranged around a neck of a container.

[0017] Advantageously, such counter-cover 3 is equipped, on its perimeter and externally, with a plurality of first radially arranged engaging teeth and such external shell 5 is equipped with at least one seat for inserting 11 such counter-cover 3, such seat 11 being equipped on its perimeter with a shape corresponding to the shape of such counter-cover 3. Consequently, such seat 11 is equipped, on its perimeter and internally, with a plurality of second radially arranged engaging teeth 13 having complementary shapes with such first engaging teeth 9. Still more preferably, such first 9 and second 13 engaging teeth are made with a profile with sawteeth arranged with opposite orientations: in particular, the slanted side of the sawteeth profile of the first engaging teeth 9 is oriented along an opposite direction with respect to the unscrewing direction V of the external shell 5 of the bottle, in such a way as to prevent uncoupling and detaching between counter-cover 3 and seat 11, also in case of gluing of the counter-cover 3 to the container neck.

[0018] Moreover, in order to prevent the counter-cover 3 from being withdrawn from the seat 11, such counter-cover 3 and such seat 11 can be engaged one into the other by interposing interference-type connecting means: in particular, such means can comprise at least one rib 17 arranged on its perimeter around such seat 11, and at least one corresponding groove 19 arranged on its perimeter around such counter-cover 3, such groove 19 being adapted to house therein such rib 17.

[0019] In the particular and example case shown in the Figures, the connecting system according to the present invention is applied to a brush for applying onto the nails fluid products such as drugs or cosmetics, having at least one application end for such product, such end being for example composed of one or a plurality of blades or bristles (not shown), connected to the counter-cover 3 for connecting to the external shell 5 for the screwable closure of the bottle (not shown) containing the fluid product, possibly by interposing at least one stem 7.

[0020] The sawteeth profile of the engaging teeth 9, therefore prevents the uncoupling and the detachment between counter-cover 3 and seat 11 when unscrewing the cover 1, also in case of gluing of the sealing cone 15 arranged around the stem 7 to the bottle neck.
