Abstract:

"ChipZip" is a double open-ended plastic bag with a sliderless zipper attachment on one end that is compatible with varying sized bags and boxes containing a bag that are previously not re-sealable to become sealable in order to maintain optimum freshness of a multitude of pantry items.

1. "ChipZip" is an easy to use product that effortlessly converts any bag or box containing a bag that is not re-sealable to a re-sealable bag or box containing a bag.

BACKGROUND

[0001] The field of endeavor to which "ChipZip" pertains is to maintain freshness of bagged perishable consumer products.

SUMMARY

[0002] "ChipZip" overall not only enhances the shelf life of numerous consumable products, it keeps the cost down for the consumer, as well as the original manufacturer not having to re-design their product packaging, thus sending the cost on to the consumer, making their product possibly undesirable for purchase.

[0003] "ChipZip" is so easy to use, yet so effective, it will save the consumer from having to dispose of spoiled product, keeping cost down for them and returning them to their favorite products.

[0004] "ChipZip" has the potential to adhere to almost every size of bag or box that is used for packaging today in every market around the world. The savings, ease of use, and compatibility truly enhances all cultures, societies, and our environment.

DESCRIPTION

[0011] "ChipZip" is an FDA and USDA compliant polyethylene plastic attachment featuring a sliderless zipper closure on one end and a flush cut unsealed bottom.

[0012] "ChipZip" includes an adhesive strip along the unsealed bottom. The open-ended bottom allows for bottom loading of open snack. Simply pull the tab to remove the plastic taping to expose the adhesive surface to fasten tightly around the open food product.

[0013] Press "ChipZip" firmly around the open bag to create a seal. This positive seal creates a closed environment to maintain the freshness of chips, cereal, cookies and many other food items.

[0014] "ChipZip" ranges in sizes from 4 inches to 16 inches wide and 4 inches to 6 inches deep. The self-adhesive tape is 1/2 inch wide. The pull tab is 1/4 inch wide.
